Saw Bultman ranked SYs trades Worst = Leddy Best = Mantha I was surprised. I thought Regula for Perlini would be the worst. Regula is playing pretty darn well for Chicago and should be a regular in the lineup by 22/23 years old. We essentially got nothing for him. I thought Fabbri for DLR would be best. Caps paid a high price for Mantha. But the Fabbri deal was a straight up robbery.

Good actor? Yes. Known for cynicism? Yes. Plays the same character over and over? No.

I assume that if we were to move Zadina now it would be a swap for a player in a similar situation needing a change of scenery. So what is the story with Chychrun? Why is he so much worse this year? I know he had some injury issues... and also has been thrust into OEL's old spot with bad partners. But it is kinda alarming his regression this year. If there's no lingering injury concerns I'd give up Zadina plus to snag him. EDIT: So I read through a good portion of the Chychrun megathread on the Yotes HFBoard. They seem as baffled as anyone. But it doesn't seem like he has a lingering injury issue. Many suspect it's laziness and disinterest after the team basically went back to tanking and yeeted all his buddies out of town. Guy probably wants out. And Yotes org seem to be treating this like he's still a stud 60pt Dman. To DET: Chychrun To ARI: Zadina + Lindstrom + 1st Next year: Chychrun - Seider UFA - Hronek Oesterle - UFA We have some HUGE holes coming up at D. Chychrun alone doesn't even begin to fill them. I wouldn't be surprised if SY swings a deal like this.

I did. And I like the whole idea of a kids line. Sticking them all together takes some of the pressure off of playing with older established guys. No one to cater to or impress. Go for it and make mistakes, but go for it.

I can't wait for him to break Lidstrom's rookie record next to DK. Next we're going to get him a decent partner and break Lidstrom's record for points in a single season by a Dman (80). He can do that before 30. Then it's a slow chug to beat Lidstrom's 1142 career pts. But that is going to happen.

I'll take DK over Cholo anyday. Cholo was comically bad here.

For the life of me I have no idea what you guys see in him, other than age and draft pedigree. He's decent at stripping a puck. That's about all I can come up with. Shot not accurate. Shot choice awful. Passing completely pedestrian. IQ and instincts non-existent. Terrible in board battles. No upper body strength. Afraid of doing anything besides playing the perimeter. This is our Yakupov. He's not changing his game, adjusting, growing. He keeps returning to the dry well hoping to find water. But he's never going to have the time and space he needs to be the player he was in the Q in the NHL, and he seemingly does not understand this. I don't think he's anywhere in SY's future plans at this point.

When he's not leading his elite mercenary team into battle you can find him ignoring texts from super models and stealing your girl.

Check out this kid: Danila Yurov RW Not sure about his defense, but he's a really strong attacker. Loves to attack, to the point it seems unnecessary at times. Often catches the defense by surprise totally off guard. The rest of the team can do nothing but stand there and watch as he invades the zone. Excellent at finding space and claiming it for himself. And loves to shoot. Drops nothing but bombs. Really controls all the energy in every game he plays. Only issue is he takes a lot of penalties and has some league sanctions against him for this. Doesn't seem well liked which could mean some character issues. His stock seems to have dropped a bit lately but IDK how anyone could protest against this choice.

I absolutely do not want to trade Bert. But extension talks for him need to start this summer, and probably secure something by Christmas 2022. If that doesn't get done we can start fielding offers on him.
