Like you said, Marc explained this. Nobody hates Zadina. What I hate is folks constantly squirming to defend him when he so clearly sucks. So I post crap like "lol busterino" in the GDT when Rowney steals his goal to put the screws to you slappies who refuse to be realistic about your fanboy players. Zadina debate will die when the excuses dry up.

I mostly agree. The main targets for me are Copp at center. Zadorov at LHD. And Campbell at goalie. If we can do those adds or something similar we'll be adding blocks without sacrificing much. Copp will cost 5-6 mil to play 2C for a bit. From Michigan and played with Larks. Zadorov will cost 4ish mil and adds size and nastiness to a young Dcore. I do think we will need Vet Defensive Dmen like this. Tired of being pushed around by bigger teams. Greiss is aging out and Campbell is a Michigan boy whose played real well for the leafs who probs can't re-sign him. Probs cost 3ish mil. Adding 10-15 mil to our cap really isn't a big deal for us. All 3 would be superb fillers to round out a team turning the corner.

Last I checked our playoff odds were pretty low right now. But crazier things have happened. Aren't we in the dark about how long Blash's extension was too? I believe the organization never revealed the details of it. Could be till the end of this season, could be longer. Guess it doesn't matter much when Yzerman finally decides to sack him, but I'm guessing it's until the season ends.

Yes A redraft probably goes something like this: 1. Dahlin 2. Svechnikov 3. Tkachuk 4. Hughes 5. Boqvist 6. Smith 7. Bouchard 8. Sandin 9. Dobson 10. Farabee 11. Zadina If Zadina's current season continues the way it's going, by the end of the year a few others will likely push him farther down that list. I don't mind comparing him to 6th overalls in other draft classes per-say, but I think the better comparison is to other talent available in HIS draft class. Spending a 6th overall on a guy who should've gone 10-15 sucks. And it sucks knowing we had to go through that pitifully season - with the only real reward being that draft pick - and Holland/Wright screwing it up like that. No

Guys drafted at 6th overall are expected to be that kind of player... I don't care what marcar says. This isn't Tatar or Nyquist that we pleasantly found out could contribute in the top 6. A 6th overall winger is expected to contribute heavily to the teams offense. Finding out he's a marginal middle 6er isnt good. IDK why this has to be explained. As soon as you can accept the disappointment, you can move past it. Red Wings fans in one breath admit Zadina has failed expectations.Then in the next breath argue he never should have had said expectations. I didnt need Zadina to be Raymond. But I sure as hell expected him to be better than an 11 goal pace on his 3rd year in the league.

We'll be a tougher team to beat with a better coach who can actually train these players. Blash is a dead man walking.

Hudler + more hustle isn't bad. I don't think the problem is with Hudler's point totals though. No one liked Hudler because he was a passenger. Looked like a 30 pt player with Helm. 40 pt player with Filppula. 60 pt player with Datsyuk. And then ran off and scored 70 something with Johnny Hockey's line. I think that's the most disappointing aspect of Zadina's game. He's not someone who drives the offense forward like Raymond does. Raymond we could probably pair with Ras and Erne, and Ras and Erne would see their point totals get a nice boost. Pair Zadina with them and we just watch Zadina's point totals drop because he doesn't have someone to feed him anymore.

Well I said Zadina = Hudler in 2018 and LGW and HF boards bout lost it on me... And Hudler once scored 57 pts for this team... So I'd say expectations for the majority of the fanbase were set a bit higher than a 40-50 pt winger.

He was already banned once for gross behavior like this. It's only a matter of time before his actions catch up with him.

No one wants to admit it, but the expectations for Zadina have certainly changed already. If you have to lower expectations for him that's already in the realm of disappointment. To be fair, Ras has been disappointing too.

Myself and @mackel. The local small but vocal minority of Zadina haters. Although the lack of patience with Zadina seems to be growing amongst others this year as well. At least here and on HF boards. I don't follow twitter to closely. You tell me. What are twitter folks pointing at? Fancy stats? If we took the names off the backs of the sweaters I don't think anyone would speak highly of that #11 guy out there who can barely shoot and doesn't score.
