Sprong is a goner. I just don't see how the cap space is there without trading Fabbri, or a roster space without trading Berggren.

Highly unlikley Fischer gets traded. His contribution on that 3rd checking line is much more valuable than any return he would get. And I think Sprong is gone. Assuming Kane returns, and Berggren is up, there won't be room for him in the top 9. And you cant afford to pay a 4th liner the kind of money it would take to keep him.

Gotta play Fabbri while he's healthy. May not get too many more chances.

Berggren gives me Nyquist vibes. 40-50 point winger. Not a game changer, but a young, secondary scorer. Perron. Fabbri, and Kane aren't exactly spring chickens.

I am puzzled by the rumors. Kid seems like what a rebuilding team would want.

Who else do you sit? Lark, Cat, Kane, Ray, and either DP or Fabs are the top 6. Ras-Copp-Fish are now the 3rd/Checking line. Kostin can't play center, so 4C goes to Veleno. And Sprong is a much better player. Kostin is the odd man out.

I'll take Stamkos. While I agree with the first part, Tanev would be a significant defensive upgrade over Holl and Petry. He looks like a vaxxed Bertuzzi.

And trading either of those 2 for kakko makes that less likely. I dont think anyone thinks this roster is a contender, but at some point you gotta get into the playoffs to give your players some experience thru the rebuild. If Yzerman makes any trades, I suspect it's yo make the team better this season.

Don't they already have Pettersen and Miller at center? Not sure how this makes sense for them.

Because both Kane and Sprong are better for this team now. If SY wants the playoffs, he doesnt trade either of those 2 for KK. And Kane is likely to re-sign. Petry is not getting bought out. And imaginary scenarios means...there is no room. Nope. Perron is a vet who has been there, done that. Need those guys.
