Wally's probably a closet Furry or something. I suspect there was something not quite right in Yzermans mind. He is not the type of GM to skip the far better talent because of "personality" unless something is off.

I like the idea of 4 15 min quarters. Then you can have an actual 20 min halftime. Like every other major sport. Except baseball. Also, get rid of four 8-team divisions and instead do eight 4-team divisions to Bring rivalries back. Top 2 finishers in each division make the playoffs and play each other in the first round. Way simpler playoffs.

You can win with a 70 point center as long as your 2 wingers are popping in 60 or more goals combined. Is Raymond/Bert or Vrana/Perron/Kubalik gonna get you there? I don't think so. If only Zadina and Vrana were the 30 goal guys we had hoped for. -

The Blackhawks won cups with Toews, Pirri, and Kruger down the middle. Larkin, Horvat, Copp/Kasper would be better. -
I would argue that Matthew Tkachuk is the next Marchand. He's much more abrasive. Zegras just runs his mouth a lot.
