Yes, but do you really want to stay with a team that clearly no longer wants you? And its a modified NTC. The Rangers literally could be a-holes and send him to the West Coast if they wanted to. They were doing him a favor by negotiating with his hometown team. Trouba agreed to that clause just as much as the team did. But the Rangers seem to be the only ones willing to be accommodating.

I guess Larkin didn't give Stamkos any Mulligans. There would have to be assets going back, presumably a dman. Maatta is the cheapest and only has 1 year left. And I love seeing the Rangers stuck with that contract.
