Well said ^. We really are 'Minnesota Mediocrity'...Seeing what Seattle gave up for Marchment - that was a solid move IMHO - Marchment would've solidified our top 6. Personally I'd rather see Yzerman move our 1st rounder (and more picks if needed) to land a quality roster player (be it a forward or defense - we need both). Not that he'd be my 1st choice, but I have to wonder what's the deal with Pettersson in Vancouver - is he a locker room cancer - is it a confidence issue? He just might be a better risk/option (and slightly cheaper cap space wise) than Marner (whom I hope Stevie makes a serious offer to). With this being a weak draft, a need for talented roster player/s, and a handful of prospects waiting in the 'Wings' - may as well swing for a trade/s, and/or offer deals to what might be deemed the best UFAs available.
