Yup - would love to have the Tkachuk bros on the Red Wings any day…Skilled, competitive, and absolute d-bags on the ice.
-
Yup - Tkachuk got under Kassian’s skin multiple times and Kassian would lose it…Very entertaining.
-
1 of the few times I'd cheer for the Oilers was while watching Kassian beat up Tkachuk.

Puts a whole new meaning to ‘chug jug’…

Apparently he's on a bit of a crusade where he feels the need to set the tone for himself and for other goalies regarding future contracts...
-
Unless Boston takes our garbage - Swayman isn't worth it...He has a chip on his shoulder, had no problem using social media to make the Bruins brass look bad and/or to get them to meet his demands, and he's has about the same experience at the NHL level as Lyon.
-
Other option might be to sign Swayman for 2, or 3 years in the $5 to $6 million aav range…Granted the Bruins could lose him to UFA, but by then all parties would know his worth.
-
Nope - not many...Utah, San Jose, Calgary, Anaheim, and Columbus...To be honest I haven't a clue as to which of those 5 would be interested in his services for his current salary demands and what Bruins brass would want in return.
-
He may have to settle for less in both aav and term if he wants to play this season...With Neely/Sweeney in the public spotlight over this (and the amount $$$ disclosed) might see a rival GM throw Swayman an offer sheet? The more I think about it this could go up to the December 1st deadline of signing RFAs.
-
Swayman is likely gonna find a new zip code to call home within a few weeks...Doubt he'll ever play again in Boston (unless he's the opposing goalie).
-
Awww thanks Scott

I will agree that Lalonde is a Blashill clone and hopefully this is his last season behind the bench in Detroit.

TLDR

I am not the one making any comparison, or claim...Scroll upwards and you'll see whom my post is quoting...I'll give you a hint.
-
It's been said he's back to his old self and training regimen...
-
Larkin is damn good - in fact I'd say he's our best overall 2-way player, but not our most offensively gifted player. I honestly doubt he'll have 1200 plus pts when he retires...He's already 28 yrs old, has 506 pts in 652 games...Do you honestly believe he'll have another 700 plus pts by the time his current contract expires after the 2030/2031 season (if he even makes it that far and if injuries don't cut his career short)? I'd love to be wrong, but it isn't gonna happen.
-
So he's guaranteed to be a Makar/Fox/Doughty and not another Cholowski?
-
Where do we find a Makar/Fox/Doughty?
-
Yup...Nobody comes close...That's why on this current roster - he's a guaranteed HoF member - nobody else is.
-
Well what day of the week is it?
-
Within a few days after the end of the reg season there was a recap on a Red Wings sub-Reddit...A poster there commented that he/she knows a roster player (of course no names mentioned) and that this player said how Walman was a bit of an issue throughout the season, but things got worse when Larkin went down with his injury. Keep in mind this was weeks before Walman was traded to SJ...
-
Walman was said to have been a divisive individual within the locker room.
-
Indeed...Might be a tad of an overpayment for seasons 1 and 2, seasons 3 and 4 will be spot on, 5 thru 8 will be a steal for Detroit. Rabbi Saul Goyzerman doing his thing.
-
I honestly doubt Yzerman would want Trouba...If he didn't want to come to Detroit 2 months ago - well it was nice knowing ya!
