For decades Al has retreived octopi from the ice and flushed them down the stadium drains. But he feels bad. Not just because it is a waste of a poor animals life, but because he comes to love and respect the octopi. He recognizes them as the sacred symbol of his organization, and also sees their high level of intelligence. Intelligence that often even surpases that of a Polish man... So he begins to care for them. Flushing them down into the underbelly of the stadium, yet keeping them alive on a diet of piss that he feeds to them through the drains. There they survive. Multiply. Grow. But one fatefull day Al is caught pissing in the drains. Fired. Who will care for and feed his children -his army - now?? This summer a new evil rises to the surface, and Batman faces his greatest challenge yet: OCTOPISS

Sounds like Ray and Mo will get the A's this season. Youth movement in full effect.

His nickname is "1st line finnie" 1LF

1. Florida - might as well call the season now. Another cup for the cats. 2. Tampa 3. Toronto 4. Montreal 5. Detroit 6. Ottawa 7. Boston 8. Buffalo Hot take = Finnie scores 50+ pts

Just to be clear... It doesn't appear to me that Holl and Gus have actually left the team. It appears this was a paper transaction... probably in order to: 1. Create roster spots for MBN and ASP for a 9 game tryout for each 2. Create cap relief. By burying those contracts Steve gets a little extra acrued cap. Steve was probably going to make this move regardless of how MBN and ASP played because of reason 2. The extra roster spots this created is a bonus. And with JVR out as well, might as well see what our top 3 rookies can do through 9 games and then reassess. Gus and Holl will prolly get reactivated if Steve decides to send any of these 3 down. That will obviously depend on how they play, and also how Todd plays them. If the rookies end up with low minutes at all I can see SY sending em down just to get more gametime for a while.

He's listed as "out" but "not injury related". His wife had twin boys a few weeks ago, and he said that one of the boys had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks after the birth. Which is why we havent seen much of him, and I'm guessing this is also why he's now out again. Hope his son's okay.

At special teams, whatd id like to see: PP1: Debrincat - Larkin - Kane Raymond - Seider No explanation needed. Our 5 best offensive players. Dont overthink it. Just let em cook. PP2: Finnie - Kasper - Compher MBN - ASP The young studs. Let em be young wild n creative. This is our future. Go build chemistry together boys. Uncle Compher will chaperone. ASP's ability to walk a blue line MBN's slapper could be a deadly one two for years. PK1: Copp - Appleton Chiarot - Seider PK2: Compher - Ras Edvinsson - AJo First and foremost, Ras is approaching being done with this team. He's being phased out. Appleton is the better PKer and it's hard to justify Ras in anything other than a 4th line role in regular minutes. He still has more value than Bergs n Soder as a PKer though.

Im expecting this: Finnie - Larkin - Raymond Debrincat - Kasper - Kane Copp - Compher - MBN JVR - Ras - Appleton Berggren/Soderblom I expect Berg + Soder + JVR + Ras + Appleton - and to some extent MBN and Finnie if they falter - to all ride pine at some point. I think Finnie and MBN will be given more than fair oppurtunity to prove they deserve the spots they just won. A lot of the rest will be a dog fight. JVR has the advantage of being a seasoned leader who can play up n down a line up as a powerforward... Appleton has the advantage of being a premier penalty killer on special teams... These two will be hard to knock out of the lineup for Bergs n Soderblom. Elmer is big and shows flashes of brilliance... but hes got to learn to use that size or else hes just a big AA with flashes of nifty goals.... berggren same thing, lack of physicality, and we have no room for pedestrians. And this: Chiarot - Seider Edvinsson - JBD Johansson - ASP Hamonic Seider and Ed have big workoads ahead of them, with pretty meh partners. But through flame they will be forged harder. I expect AJo and ASP to start the season sheltered, but with every oppurtunity to unseat Chiarot and JBD in the top 4. Both, and JBD, may have to sub out at times for Hamonic, Gus, Holl. IMO defense is still our weakest position. But AJo and ASP could change that as soon as this year...

I am very surprised to see MBN and ASP make the team so soon, but glad to see them both here. At defense - cutting Gus and Holl is surprising, but not unwarranted. Hamonic wasnt much far ahead of these two IMO, and I wouldnt be surprised if we dont see all 3 rotate up n down throughout the season... ASP is pretty raw and weak in his own end. I almost think this move is more a testament to Todd's faith in Edvinsson, than it is to ASP's current abilities. Meaning: I think Todd is likely going to lean on Seider and Edvinsson HEAVILY, in order to shelter ASP and his pairing. If Eddogg is ready for those top minutes that is a very good sign for this defence. At forward - a year ago it would sound insane if you suggested MBN or Emmit Fugqqgin Finnie would make the roster b4 Danielson, Buchnelikov, or Mazur. This is exciting. And it lifts my hopes for all our prospects. If these two can steal the show like this then I think even more of some of the guys that I thought were ahead of them both...

Genborg is underrated. When we drafted him he seemed like a safe pick, but he has all the tools and is way ahead of his same aged peers. Like you say - just like MBN - hes bigger stronger faster, and playing with men. At 18. Lotta hope for him.
-
Daniel Sahn is on IR I believe Finnie came in and just casually took Mazurs spot... MBN looks ready to take his #1 callup spot too. Poor kid is good, but is getting leap frogged by blue chips... This should be a high sign to STOP signing JVRs and Appletons imo...
-
Furreal dawg. Now that Kasper is a regular Finnie and MBN are EASILY the top forward prospects... Mazur, Lombardi, and Danielson are good... but the former 2 look to be on another level entirely.
-
They should cancel the Feds retirement ceremony and give Finnie 91

Goff is the most efficient QB in the league Hutch is the #1 rated pass rusher in the league Madden now has the Lions ranked as the best overall team in the game behind only the SB champ Eagles And Sundays game against the Bengals is the most favored to win the Lions have been on the road since 1973... I dont know what to do with this amount of hype

After cuts the remaining prospects are Finnie, MBN, Mazur, ASP, Wallinder, and Postava. Finnie - already has made the team if you ask me MBN - looks poised for great things, but I think he will go down to get more ice time. That said, he will certainly be a #1 callup kinda guy Mazur - its simply time for him. Time to see what we have ans what he can do. Will likely be the #1 forward callup unless MBN can out compete him ASP - Going down. Not a bad thing. Just needs more time to cook and get more ice time. Wallinder - looks much improved. Should be #1 D callup. Hopefully threatens Berndock and Hamonics jobs. Postave - think hes simply around so the wings can get more looks at him. Absolutely going down.
-
No Im not even joking that Finnie is making Kasper look like an after thought... this kid is a ******* DAWG. He has the natural instincts and brain that you cant develop or buy. Between him and Kasper... our future looks bright with or without Larkin. Dylan better stop whining publicly or SY may actually ship his azz out.
