Post game interviews Larkin - seems absolutely destroyed. Feel bad for him. It's no wonder he's the captain. He had it all on the line. Perron - talks about how this is the biggest defeat/let-down the young guys have ever experienced. Naturally the wings only let the media interview vets. I think this was a tremendously important learning moment for Raymond and Seider and friends. Kane - refers to his time with the wings in the past tense. He's already gone. Had detailed ideas about his offseason plans to become a more explosive skater as a vet. Wings fans need to stop pretending he's re-signing.

I can't remember the last time Holl even played.

The brutal part is Philly pulls the goalie in regulation, in a tied game, with seconds to go in the wings game, because they need the Wings to lose in regulation, and themselves to win in regulation to make the playoffs. Not knowing the wings scored with 3 seconds left and they were already eliminated, Philly went ahead and pulled the net, ending both our seasons with this move. Don't want scenarios like this to decide your fate? Maybe don't give up 8 goals to teams like the coyotes in 2 games in March. Glad we are (hopefully) learning that lesson now.

Seriously though... we go up on Montreal and literally a second later Philly goes up on the caps... only for the refs to call the Philly goal back. And the goal called back is an obvious mistake by the refs. Like very obvious. Combined with the lottery shenanigans the league is starting to look more and more like the WWE day by day.

Respectfully disagree on ghost. And I find it strange you want to sign the worst softest defender on the team, but also want a physical shutdown Dman. Newsy only deploys Ghost on the PP and in the Ozone. The kid should have been a forward, because he's not even trusted with neutral zone defensive duties. Paying a 3rd pair PP man 5 million dollars is not something we can afford to do anymore next year, let alone the next 4.

I know we are disappointed as fans, but this is the exact kick in the pants this team needs/needed. They probably thought they were giving their 100% to make the playoffs. And they just learned their (what they think is) 100% isnt enough. Its a bitter lesson, but one that has to be learned by every team. You can't coast for the last 20 games of the season and I then expect to make it on miracle goals in the few seconds of the last 2 games. Now it's on Derek to channel that dissapointment into desire to correct those mistakes and overcome. And on Yzerman to augment personal to make us even better next year. Kudos to Derek and Stephen and Larkin on the exciting season most of us didn't see coming. You don't go from bottom feeder to cup champ in one season. I trust them to build from here. LGRW!

Chiarot and Copp have NTCs. But Fabbri and Maata going to SLC I could see happening. New ownership will probably keep some personel, but a big face lift with new people, his people, is probably on the horizon for them.

LA fans are expecting Roy to ink something at 5.5 to 6.5 with term. That could become a mistake pretty quickly. I sooner just replace Gostisbhere with Edvidsson and wait a year for Petry to retire. Then take inventory of the defense at that stage. Stamkos is a great player, not a PP specialist, would love to have him. But I think he will get a team friendly deal done with Tampa and retire a bolt.

Even if we lose in the 1st round, it will be worth it for Al the octopus.
