IMO, if we're talking trade value for Werenski, it would be a lottery 1st rounder...again that is my opinion. Also my opinion that Panarin is NOT worth over $7M, $6.5M to $7M more reasonable, but not upwards of $8M+ . That is why I would not want Yzerman to pursue him as a UFA. If we win the lottery, I'd trade it to Columbus for Jones and Werenski and their 1st. Yes, I am crazy, but that is about what it would take to get the #1 from me...something that large from ANY team.

I am not against re-signing him in the off season, or extending him after the TDL if he cannot trade him. But I hope that he explores all offers (if there are any) for Howard's services for a playoff run for a team in need of a goalie. I hope that Holland doesn't offer him an extension like in December is what I meant. We to to utilize his UFA status as a way to acquire more picks. Even if it's not a 1st. Only a desperate team would offer a 1st for Howard, in any normal trade he is just not worth it.

this is the good thing about Howard playing pretty well. Not that players getting injured is good, but there will be teams calling and we may get a little over-value for him, if Holland does not do that stupid thing and re-sign him before he gets some assets for him.

Oh, LOL! I missed the Panarin part. Was that always there? I could have swore that it was just Karlsson to begin with. In that case, no 3 id not going to happen. We don't need to waste money on Panarin. I feel we are going to get Karlsson though, but I will still stick with Yzerman over the others. Just to play along. Imagine our joy if ALL THREE happened? (minus Panarin that is)

Panarin? Who said anything about him? besides I like to be confident until it happens or doesn't. Must remain positive! In order: 1. Yzerman 2. Karlsson 3. Hughes Outside of wining the lottery, if #1 happens, then #2 is almost certain. Well, in my view of the future! I chose Hughes last because I believe that we are getting a gem in the top 10 anyhow. Not Hughes quality, but if we don't score the #1, we are still sitting pretty.

Just saying, those two are happening regardless, but I'll go with Stevie Y because he'll get us the players we need, Jack Hughes or not.

Since option 1 and 3 are going to happen anyway, the only question is, will this team keep this up or drop back into serious Jack Hughes contention.

By January 1, Ken Holland will be given the OK to announce his new job as GM of the expansion Seattle team and be ceremoniously allowed to leave. Steve Yzerman will be released from his remaining contract with Tampa and be announced our new GM. Blashill will be let go and Dan Bylsma will become the new HC. Again, Take it as you may, but its a heck of a juicy rumor!

Honestly I do. Not just because I do not like him either. I'd be ok with trading him, then trying to re-sign him again. I also believe that both Nyquist and Daley will be dealt, possibly both to the same Cup contending team. Pit?
