TSN's latest mock has us taking Hughes. With Dobson and Bouchard still on the board, that would be wrong, IMO. Then at 30, they have us taking someone named Liam Foudy. Don't know iota about him.

Ok, but we better hope Cholowski and Hronek work out to one of them being a top pairing. They'd probably want us to take Bobby Ryan as well. In which I'd try to flip him back to Anaheim.

Are you praying for Karlsson or Kovy? Or are you praying against either of them? I think Karlsson will cost too much honestly. Not sure I'd be willing to see what it would cost. ...and I hate that I cannot watch videos on TSN.CA! UGH!

Anybody watching NHL Awards?

One of the shows had said that the surrgance of the D-men in the draft may really impact where Tkachuk and Zadina fall. I think if Zadina is there at #6, and if he truly is the most elite scorer in the draft, we have to take him. But honestly, if Bouchard and Dobson are taken in the top 5 and Zadina/Wahlstrom are available, it doesn't matter which one we take, both are legit upgrades to our top 6. If we draft O at #6 and, as some analysts have said could happen, Boqvist falls into the teens, it would be nice to trade up to get him. Zadina may fall because Montreal will probably fail to make a deal and draft Kotkamiemi at #3 because of their need for a center. Dahlin Svech Kotkaniemi Tkachuck Boqvist Zadina it's quite possible. Serron Noel would be awesome if we could get a 20-ish pick or if he's there at 30.

Islanders (if Trotz goes there)

I think it's best to trade Svech while he still has "potential value." If he plays 82 with us and only gets 10 points, there's no trade value left.
