Here is what I mean, when you have 2-4 players you're looking at when its your turn, you have to consider these types of things in order to make your choice. Boqvist and Bouchard (outside of height) may be virtual clones of each other when it comes to NHL potential, but if one is damaged goods (potentially career ending damaged goods) you have to go with the healthier one. http://www.eliteprospects.com/article.php?id=286

With the concussions that will be a heck of a gamble. Of course they aren't the smartest management team. I could see them taking him though thinking it'll please Karlsson and maybe entice him to stay. I think they need more than just Boqvist to keep Karlsson to stay. Maybe they'll land JT? I don't doubt it, but it sure would be a risk. Hopefully Holland isn't the one to take it.

Please, no more concussion's. It's unfortunate, but hopefully this keeps Holland from taking him. It's things like this that he has to look at that remove names off his list. Maybe someone takes a gamble on him, hopefully not us. Now, if this impacts his draft position and he falls, let's say in to the 2nd round, as long as we got some good names with late 1st and first 2nd, maybe we take him then. I'd prefer 3rd round, but hell no he drops to a 3rd. He may still get taken top 10. But this may also make another one unavailable at 6. Maybe a team that was eyeing him, passes and takes one of Bouchard or Dobson instead. Could get interesting...

Interchangeable meaning, teams could take either one at their pick in the draft. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WEIGHT AND HEIGHT. Do not try to turn this thread into anything it isn't. -

That looks like a very probable draft. It would be great to see it happen. Although, IMO, Bouchard and Dobson are interchangeable, plus I think Arizona would take Boqvist before Hughes. I am sure than they are also interchangeable, but they'd probably like to have a player there that could maybe entice OEL to never leave. Not saying Hughes wouldn't be great there either, but I am sure OEL is pretty familiar and probably a fan of Boqvist being countrymen. Either way, we're getting a player that will seriously challenge for a spot on the opening day roster! -

I'd say overwhelmingly the fans prefer him according to that vote! He's Holland's #2 rated D-man behind Dahlin? Then unless he gets picked 5th, it would probably be a no-brainer that they take him. But our luck Arizona takes him What are Arizona's needs I wonder? If they need O then we're set. They'd probably snag Wahlstrom (poor guy) and we can have Bouchard. I'd go D with the first 3 picks, then go with O the next 3. The a G with one of our remaining 3rds. Then after the 3rd round, we can start the "find a diamond" game. We'll have 4 picks in the last 4 rounds (no 5th) so we may be able to get a lucky one there! (Liam Kirk Please!) -

I tend to agree, but of course the usual trolling suspects are going to say it's because he is Swedish. Honestly, I don't think he makes it to 6. He is the 2nd rank D behind Dahlin, so he'll probably go. Here is my prediction for 1-5: Dahlin Svech Zadina Boqvist Tkachuk -

convicnce Snow to take our 2 firsts for JT and their 2 2nds! That would give them FOUR 1sts!!! Hell toss a player in to boot! Ok, ok, now I'm dreaming! -
Ya, him and his goon did it, but I have no doubt Toyna knew... anyhow, ya, this would've been a good gif if Chicago had gotten #1!

It is yet to be determined for Carolina, but they got propelled into the top 3 as did Philly. It beats tanking into the top 5 and getting pushed back. With our 7 picks in the first three rounds, this is how Kenny is gonna handle his tires this June! Look out NHL! -
someone needs to pull a Tonya Harding impression on the pens.

So does the #2 team! If Montreal wins, offer him our #1 and all our French-canadian players. -

From eliteprospects.com. Ya, this says nothing about "suspect" skating. highly intelligent all-around defenceman that plays with poise and can shift the pace of play in a multitude of ways. Showcases smooth four-way skating ability and loves to get involved in all situations - especially when that situation happens to be an up-ice rush. Has a polished offensive skill-set which includes well-timed passes and a sneaky, erratic shot. Goes with the high percentage play and makes smart decisions. Could work on strength behind his shot. Defensively active, cutting off lanes and always staying in excellent positioning. Reads cues well in all three zones and seems to stay a step ahead. All-in-all, a well-rounded defender with great hockey sense and work ethic. (Curtis Joe, EP 2017) © Photo: Dan Hickling -

Go away. Never said hated Hughes or Boqvist. We don't need trolling here. We'll get a good player. Dahlin will not be happy in any of those cities. Poorly run franchises. It sucks for him more than us. -

Go away. If you'd have been here the last 3 months you'd see that your post is just trolling. I don't hate either of those, but I think Boqvist will be gone by 6. Dobson and Bouchard are ranked higher than Hughes. Look back on page 1, I said I'd like to have Hughes. So instead of coming here a trolling and trying to start an argument, just go away. -
