Official 2018 NHL Amateur Entry Draft Discussion Thread
LeftWinger replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
Ya, here really is no way to lose in the top 10. I haven't watch Wahlstrom too much, I seen him creeping up into the top 20, but didn't know his stats were that good. Heck there might be no way to lose for anyone in the top 15! -
Mrazek traded to Philly for Conditional 3rd and 4th Picks
LeftWinger replied to hankzet40's topic in General
Ok, ok....we'll all play nice. No more saying anything that can be perceived as any of what you said I write, if I get close, remind me and I will retract. -
Please do tell, because if you had paid any attention to prospects you'd know he was a better choice than Ras, ad were many others.

See: ESPN thread, but unlike you, I laugh at these things because they're not true. If someone doesn't like the player you like, then you start throwing ape s*** at them. -

....and just a couple of minutes ago in the other thread you claimed I made this up, now you come here and make it worse. Or do you forget what you post from thread to thread? Personal attacks are not allowed and can result in being banned. But you've been there before so obviously you don't care about rules. -
...but this is Ken Holland! Left out part of the quote! Kidding of course!

We're getting a really good player for sure, only Holland can screw this up... Nah, that was just a joke, I don't think even Holland can screw up a top 8 pick, unless he goes and drafts a 20th ranked player at that spot. Which, unlike my scenario above, is NOT beyond the realm of possibility. Here is the latest ISS Top 10...ANY of these players would be awesome! Look at Wahlstrom with 90 points in 58 games, nice! 1 Rasmus Dahlin (D) Frölunda HC SHL 41 7 13 20 20 2 Andrei Svechnikov (RW) Barrie Colts OHL 44 40 32 72 67 3 Filip Zadina (LW) Halifax Mooseheads QMJHL 57 44 38 82 36 4 Brady Tkachuk (C/LW) Boston Univ. Well if we go with Jimmy and a worse back-up, we're definitely getting another lottery pick, so that is fine, but damn he should pay 3/4 of his salary back. Maybe we'll give Tom McCullum another chance. He'll sign on the cheap, we'll need a sub $1M backup with the money we are already wasting in the G position.

Oh, in that case Please, continue then.... -
In In-Holland like fashion, he'll wait to see if he lands JT first....nah, who am I kidding, Holland will sign Green on June 30th to a 3 year deal WITH a NTC. Its fine I guess, because we'll be able to put his cap on LTIR when the time comes. Damn, I am still SMH on that stupid Darren Helm re-sign! Ugh...oh well, water under the bridge.

I Remember when Fletcher touted as a God because he was able to sign The Olsen Twins... Where is old centcougar anyhow?

Much like what you said in the other thread? I'd say you need to look at yourself in the mirror, but with hatred like that it would shatter in to a million pieces. A while ago you had to come up with a few different usernames because you couldn't control yourself, I'd dial it back some. ho·mo·pho·bi·a ˌhōməˈfōbēə/ noun noun: homophobia dislike of or prejudice against homosexual people. Nothing I said supports this term. Unless you are saying that Jimmy IS homosexual (which there is nothing wrong with) and because I do not like him, that is why you called me this. Other than that, not sure how this name calling even supports anything we've talked about. But you are right, I do not like Jimmy, because he stinks and makes to much money, oh and he's Swedish, oh wait....anyway, but whatever his personal preference in life is, it does not have any bearing on my dislike for him. -
ESPN lists most dominant champions of last 20 years: 2008 Red Wings come in 9th
LeftWinger replied to shocky2002's topic in General
Wow! This is inappropriate, You may want to visit the forum rules index again. Number9 showing up....plus considering I have not mentioned Tippett in about 2-3 months, its also a very useless post. I do believe your Howard affection has far surpassed my opinion of Tippett or Franzen. And now you're getting personal and off the handle. Totally inappropriate and unwarranted. But what is it you say? And now, here we are... -

Any G we sign as backup, with #1 potential is a good thing.

Oh, didn't know positions in baseball are homo....Hmmmmm.... -
I've explained this. I would love a shot at Jack Hughes and sure Howard would help that, but it just irks me that he is getting paid so much to be so-so...oh well. Hopefully he is dealt at the deadline and that'll be it. OR re-signed at less than $3M for a year or two.
-
yes but when he is letting in 3-4 goals a night he is NOT positively contributing to the team. He's been slightly above average for his entire contract. I am not saying Mrazek turn out any better, nor am I saying which one we should've of kept, I said trade them both. Just saying he has NOT positively contributed to this team in a long time...

he probably pitches and catches... -
I understand what you are joking about, but he is quite better than most of our other D-prospects. I am not pining for him anymore, but I was just saying, if AA isn't enough to bring us a talent like Hamilton or Trouba, if he could bring us a prospect like Hague or maybe Foote, would you do it? Nic Hague: Cal Foote: Maybe we acquire Foote, then draft his brother in 2019. Nolan Foote:

re-signing Green to a 1 year deal would help in two ways, he was one of our best D-men, plus the trade that hopefully would happen this time at the TDL. TD is tradable as well this TDL, although he can control where he goes. (15 team No-trade list) Add them along with Howard and Nyquist, they could net us a couple extra 2nds and 3rds maybe. Of course with what Holland fleeced Vegas for, who flippin knows what we could acquire. Couple all that with our drafting of Dahlin (or other high end D man in the top 8) and Kronwall retiring, 2019 Camp is shaping up to be a great competition for available spots!

Should any of #91, #13, #40, #30 be retired? Poll/Discussion
LeftWinger replied to kickazz's topic in General
Terrific, nevertheless it Quite is a damn humiliation that the owners couldn't just take in direction of honor a different higher echelon Corridor of Famer, Sergei Fedorov. Sorry, couldn't resist that one! I sure hope we can get JT though, that response was not meant to say I do not want JT here! Just a partial sentence from the other weird thread! -

OH! So that is why they kept him! It's all so clear now, maybe Howard is a better thrower than Mrazek? -
If we re-sign Green, which seems to be the general consent, as long as he is healthy, I hope we deal XO so we can get some new blood back there to compete and push others. if we land Dahlin, do we still re-sign Green? If so, is XO out for sure? Someone will be out or #8 on the list.
