This is why Blashill is a blashcock. If Howard wouldve given up 6 goals against Chicago, he'd still be starting tonight. Even when Mrazek shines and wins, with a shutout even, he never gets to see if he can continue his momentum. I hope Jimmy gets ransacked tonight and a puck flies into the bench a clocks blashill.

This is how google translated it, pretty much the same basis, but I dig the wording! "It's premature to make a conclusion, but now in Detroit, the sparrow on the rooftops is already ringing that Jimmy Howard's Red Wing Goalkeeper is already heading for New York and just replacing Halak. Howard is 33 years old, Halak 32, both are good in their own way and both will be unlimited freelancers after the end of the season." I love "The sparrow on the rooftops is already ringing" and "unlimited freelancers" "

I'd do it. They could re-sign Halak at a cheaper price in the off season, shop Mrazek around bring up Coreau and use Halak as their starter until one of the kids emerge. The cap relief for the offseason is very important and the more picks the better!

At thispoint who knows which player is on the block. I guess its whichever player(s) get them the best pick/prospect return. As long as it's not anyone named Larkin, Mantha, Athanasiou, Frk, Bertuzzi then I'm ok. I'd like to keep Nielsen around to help try and lure JT as well. Of course Z ain't going anywhere.

Didn't someone just say that the ask for Tatar was a pick and a prospect? I'd say that would be a nice return. I'll trade him to Vegas for a 3rd and Haugue. ...not giving up yet! Hee hee!

Did we dump any salary today? No? Ok, I'll try again tomorrow. -
Should any of #91, #13, #40, #30 be retired? Poll/Discussion

Fedorov, 3 Cups, 2 Selke's, 1 Hart. He won the Hart and a Selke in the same season. He has the accolades. -

Remember when being great meant you were consistently a 100+ point player? Now we're talking 65 points is great? Ugh.....im not looking it up, but has Toews eve hit 100? -
watch Duclair become an all-star in Chicago....A Bowman does it again.

Huh? -
Yes, but Duclair on a line with a defensive-minded C, makes him very dangerous! If the asking price is only a 2nd, I'd give it in a instant, plus I'd give them XO (like some have suggested) to sweetin the deal. He's well worth the gamble.
-
If Duclair would only cost a 2nd and XO, Holland should be all over it. But it's seems a little low...

Franson is coming here.

Why would Nashville be in the East and Detroit in the West? I think the author is just trying to bring back rivalries. Nashville is in the Central Time Zone, it sits way west of Detroit. Swap those two and then the alignments look fine.

When I win both of the lotteries this week, then after I purchased controlling interest in the Red Wings, I will put up ALL 4 numbers before by middle of next season. I will also have a special retirement for #'s 6, 16 and 24. -
Either way, I am pretty sure Mrazek will not be here in 18-19. I'd love to get some kind of compensation for him, but (and remember I was a huge fan of Mrazek) I really could care either way, just as long as they don't qualify him. Just let him become a UFA and kind work elsewhere. I am one that is really disappointed that he flopped, he showed so much potential that half a season. He led the NHL in GAA, SAV and Shutouts. Then on his birthday game, he shat the bed and then was never the same...I also remember the time he was flying high and yelled and motioned at Helm for deflecting a puck into his own net. I wish I could find that goal to post the video, but that also seemed like where he started declining. Heck, it may have been the game after his birthday that season he took a dump... not sure.

I guess we see if we are JT winners this July, if he gets 91 or not. That will be a big indicator. I know he's not JT, but Richards wasn't able to wear it...and that at least tells me that they aren't trying too hard to separate themselves from Feds. Not that i believe they were trying, but if you listen to some people, you would think they hated each other. I'm betting nobody wears any of those 4 #'s again. I guess we'll see if we win JT. I think you're on to something, think of the players that lead us to Cups, most #s have been recycled at least once. 19 & 5 of course not used, but 8, 14, 39, 17, 13, 18, 2...all very important #s in our Stanley Cup run(s.) I'm sure I'm missing a couple as well. -

Osgood is HOF material. You cannot say he has so many wins because he played in Detroit. He has 401 wins, with 84 of them coming while playing with NYI and STL. That's 20% of his wins NOT playing behind Detroit's D. All 4 must be retired, if they aren't, something stinks. The 3 others ARE Hall material. There is no debate. -

All 4 yes. The remaining 3 to The Hall. No brainers. -
...and enter the injury.
-
Try to trade Mrazek, if you can't, then don't qualify him in the off season. Either way, that's way less money you'll have to put out next season.
-
God, we REALLY need a defenseman to turn out!!!! PLEASE!!!
-
I say showcase all the players you might deal. We're already not going to the playoffs (not out yet, but we know how it's gonna end up) so it's not going to hurt to put Mrazek and XO in to get some interest from others...unless they're showcasing Howard and Ericsson....
-
Just want to point out in all this Mrazek stuff, Vegas didn't want Sheahan either, but obviously Pitt really did, to give up a player and a higher draft pick for him. Same could happen for Mrazek.
