I honestly think Hicketts earned a spot, if not for having to give guaranteed spots to Kronwall and Ericsson (ericsson especially) he'd be here instead of Sproul. I like Spoul, but I just think Hicketts has passed him up on the talent scale.
-
But in 2 years he'll be an RFA with arbitration eligibility, a la Tatar. Take the 2 years at $1.9M and prove you're worth more and get your $5M+ next contract after you net 100 pts. in those 2 seasons.

Pens start trading, could Sheahan be leaving soon? https://twitter.com/CapFriendly/status/915269481169121280

Hey look, I can be a successful Wings reporter like Malik! Cut.....Paste....Cut....Paste! But, ya, here is some info I found on the signing. Thanks to @mikeyisViral
-
No. $1.9 is his value. I'd be ok with $4M for 2 at the very most!
-
Well technically, Witkowski is the 8th D and he can play forward, so he is the 13th forward.
-
Same agent, same amount of points, one goal away from each other, $1.9M looks perfect from my view...
-
When AA signs, Witkowski will be BOTH the 8th D and the 13th FWD!
-
Ok, I just tweeted Andreas up and advised him to take the $1.9M, we're good, he'll get it done!
-
Ok, now that we know AA's market value (with Anderson signing in CBJ) here's is what the opening night roster should be: Tatar - Z - Nyquist Mantha - Larkin - Frk AA - Nielsen - Booth Abby - Glen - Helm DD - Daley XO - Green Ericsson (bleh) - Jensen Howard If Kronwall is ready, I am sure he will be in place of XO. Speaking of cap, isn't today the day all teams must become cap compliant? If so, we have to clear about $500,000 in cap. We are sitting at $4.4M over and Franzen is only $3.9M...and that's BEFORE signing AA,
-
Hey Kenny and AA, theres your comparable. Anderson just signed a deal for 3 years, $1.85M per. He had 17 goals 12 Assists for 29 points. AA had 18 goals 11 assists for 29 points. 2 years $1.9M IS market value for AA, lets get this done! ...and then lets get Sheahan traded (or Kronner LTIR) to clear up this cap mess!
-
Well we do need Ericsson and Kronwall don't you know?
-
Well, both Sproul and Booth were placed on waivers today.
-
Either a trade is coming or Kronwall with start season on LTIR. Whichever we now need to get AA signed!
-

PAP didnt make the cut. Booth did. For now... Detroit Red Wings G Jared Coreau – waivers for purpose of assignment D Brian Lashoff – waivers for purpose of assignment F Matt Lorito – waivers for purpose of assignment D Dylan McIlrath – waivers for purpose of assignment F P.A. Parenteau – released from PTO F Michael Rasmussen – Tri-City (WHL) F Ben Street – waivers for purpose of assignment

Rest my friend. Probie has a beer waiting for You!
-
Yep, you can say that again!
-
That will be unfortunate having Kronwall and E on the opening night roster...
-
Yes, the crow will taste very good. ALTHOUGH I would still rather have had Tippett and feel his ceiling his still higher than Rass, but I too liked his play this pre-season. I am very impressed with Larkin, Mantha, Rass, Daley, Booth, Frk, Hicketts to name a few. I am impressed with others too, but those are the ones that have stood out to me. I LOVE how our D looks WITHOUT Kronner and E. Hicketts and Sproul will suffer the numbers game for those two. I do believe Howard has regained his #1 job. Man, what happened to Mrazek?

Madness? This is Sparta!

You no longer need nor lose a timeout if you challenge. If you're wrong you get a minor penalty....sort of like the stick challenge.
-
Just watching tsn talking about different players and they had commented that Will Butcher is the real deal. But Holland.
-
I don't get it. There's no outrageous trades there. So you're saying we shouldn't deal green or one of the goalies? Pit already wants Sheahan...so I don't understand your sarcastic response.
-
If PAP makes the roster, make note that he also was a teammate for 2 years of Tavares. Could help a bit...
