Larkin took a step back because of his usage. When he was allowed to play his game, he was in Calder consideration. As he was slowly coached into Blashill's style, he regressed. He needs to be able to play his game, in the top 6, with complimentary players. Our core up front are Larkin, Mantha and AA. So long as Holland gets his low balling head out if his ass. I imagine a line of: AA - Larkin - Tippett Oh, nevermind, But AA - Ras - Larkin may be a good looker soon. I hope Ras becomes a core player.

Honestly wasn't writing to complain. I mention Weiss because I wanted Booth to be signed to play with him a few years ago. So I just said that in jest.

Sign these guys and ditch others. White is better than Glen, Butcher better than most our D, Booth just may make Sheahan tradable. This team needs change, it needs new blood. AA needs to be signed, players need to be let go. Trade them for futures, but trade them nonetheless.

I'm not complaining about it. Just said I would've liked it a few years ago. I remember wanting him and Weiss to play together again. I sure would've liked White to get one for sure. I don't see where you read a complaint.

I'd like to have Vanek back, but AFTER AA is signed. Still be a cap issue, but Holland will have to trade salary. Not unless the LTIR thing IS happening. Do we still have $1.4M after Franzen? Kronwall to LTIR (maybe) that leaves us a little over $6M. Trade Sheahan gives us almost $9M. $3M to AA and $4M to Vanek. Nah, who am I kidding....he'll sign Vanek, lose AA to KHL then waive players to get compliant.

The best players won't play. Their most electric player will be in The KHL. This team needs a cleansweep from GM to all coaches. That includes all asst. GM's and management.

What sucks about those 2 in particular is we didn't need both. I understand going with Nielsen because he was supposed to be your 2nd line center, but we had zero need for both of them. Sheahan wouldve made a fine 3rd line center and probably would've had a better season stat-wise as well. The Helm signing was not needed. You guys tease on me about bitching about loyalty and returning to form, but in helm's case that's exactly what it was, loyalty and hoping he returned to his former self when he was a hit commodity in the nhl. $3.85M that could be very useful right now. Or if you Look at Nielsen, his money would also be very useful right now. Couldve just made Larkin the 2nd line center and rolled the dice.

If we're still s*** by January, begin the sale. E, Goalie, Helm, Green, Abby, Glen, Sheahan, one of nyquist/Tatar if we must. Give us our best shot at the generational player, then start fresh with a new GM, all his toadies and an entire coaching staff.

Sounds like i have a few years to not watch this team and hopefully rediscover my passion for it. I've never felt so jaded about this team in my life and that includes the late 80's early 90's. Then, at least you felt they were building something. Now there's too much hanging on to the past and not enough creativity to better our future. Right now I don't feel any positivity towards the direction Holland has taken and is taking this team. I feel no excitement. When it seems that we are losing one of our only bright spots on the team because of total mismanagment and way overpaid players like Helm, it makes you not even care anymore.

Well at the very least, will be rid of a TON of cap in two years...I know others will be making more, but we'll also be rid of the old guard. Z, Kronn, E (buyout) Howard...it will be a wonderful day. although, I do wish Z would honor and complete his contract. The others can go.... But anyhow, again, AA must not be allowed to go. If he goes, Holland MUST be fired! Hey, Kenny, 2008 called, Helm, Kronwall, E, Abby, Howard are not returning to this form of themselves. Move on. Holland has overpaid too many mediocre players! When Helm said he had other offers, goodbye! This pisses me off. I am ashamed of what he turned this team into....the highest paid team in the league and will not make the playoffs again. He screws up the first top 10 pick in 25 years This reeks of taking Primeau over Jagr. Because we need a sizeable center, not a high scoring elite WInger. It stunk then and it stinks now. We need to get a petition to Chris Ilitch...fire him or lose your fanbase.

Just retire now. Sign AA, no problem. IMO if Z retires now, so should Kronner and E. That would open up a ton of cap. Kronner and E are not on one of those weird cap circumvention contracts, $9M saved there.

Just keep believing Holland knows what he's doing. Here's yet another example of him handing out too much money and possibly losing part of the future. Nyquist, too much, Tatar, too much, Helm, too much, the list goes on. One of the goalies should've been traded when they had value. No way E should even be sniffing the LCA. Time has come for Holland to be fired. Enough is enough. He screwed the draft pick, he handed out too much money to Tatar, he refused to buy anyone out, he refused to trade anyone. He just keeps believing that He has hand over the players, but it's the players who have hand. Holland is a hunk of junk. Holland: we're the Red Wings, nobody would dare leave us! I'll just make sure all my vets are happy and players will come flocking in! Who wouldn't take a discount to play with Z and E and Kronwall and Nyquist and Helm and Howard. When their 2008 selfs show up, everyone will see!

I say retire now. Then we can truly tank for Svech II.
