Lets hope the future considerations involves swapping 15 for 11! (Throw Holl in for giggles)
-
Not unless we're swapping picks. I'm with you though, something better come to light. I'm getting tired of getting zip in return for a player just because Yzerman doesn't like him.
-
Ya, I don't get it. Why give away the 2nd and receive nothing? Better dump Holl, Fabbri, Husso, and maybe another, then sign Kane Stamkos, trade for Gibson and Zegras and then Chychrun and Sharangovich and McGrouty(sp) and sign Truscott this August. I'm very upset the longer this goes on... where's the media asking him the hard questions? Why was Wslman dumped with a 2nd for nothing? He needs to be asked this straight forward.
-
It could be anything or nothing. We may never know.
-
I'm still on the side of the "future considerations" is a draft day deal. If that player is there at 14, don't draft him. If player is not there, maybe Detroit will get the 33rd or at least the 42nd overall. Or maybe they broker a trade.

Edmonton to let Ken Holland's contract expire Sunday. Chicago bound rumor. https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2024/06/blackhawks-rumors-oilers-gm-heading-to.html?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1dUTfQ5zTa0ispI8N53wYg42MDs3U8unT_g1Ybnt0maRUHYFVVjKoiD3A_aem_grrZY0duz6TGQUGMGhACBg&m=1

Plus we'd have to shed more cap to afford those two.
-
2 firsts? I might be against that.
-
Gibson and Zegras to Detroit?
-
Interesting. Can't wait to see!
-
I think I figured out the "future considerations" Detroit will get from San Jose. They draft 14th, Detroit 15th, maybe the deal is that if a certain player is there at 14, they don't draft him and let him go to 15. We'll never know though if this is the deal since we never see what happens behind the doors.

Ok, but why would you quote me and say that? If it's because of what I said to me it looked like he shoved him away. It just looked odd.
-
That would mean another has to go. Unless they carry 8. I'm in!
-
Holl is next to go. Ghost will be signed. Trouba will be traded here.
-
Maybe he was a problem with other players. When Kane scored in OT in Chicago, Walman was the first to get to him and he just shoved him out of the way basically. Watch the replay again.
-
Ok, so, so far we've gotten worse this off season. I do wonder what Walman did to get ousted. It's no coincidence this comes after his healthy scratches to end the season. That being said, now we need a top pairing LHD. Edvinsson isn't ready for that.

I've updated the compensation. Because of the length of the contract, we'd jump in to the FOUR 1sts as compensation level. I take that all day, every day. Of those teams, how many can afford to pay him that much? That being said, of the teams that could afford him, and have the compensation, I'm guessing we'd get a couple of lottery picks, maybe even a number 1 overall out of the deal.
-
Well here are the teams that can offer him that contract and have the assets required as compensation: If that is the demand, I let him rot for a year, or let him sign an offer sheet and take that compensation. He hasn't earned $10M yet. Sorry, not a hater, just gotta have a complete team. The reason we'd get the 4 1sts is the length of the contract. If he signed a 7 year $10.5M offer, this is our compensation. according to capfriendly.

Getting these young kids would be awesome. I'd definitely trade them Berggren, especially if he's gonna be a booger to re-sign.
-
I'd rather Kane stay.
-
Lol, this team has gotten so bad that nobody makes a GDT...and the game is half way through the 1st. Fire Blashill

I'd like to see that report on Twitter. Not doubting, I just need something to get excited for right about now!
-
Well, that could be, but that was 6 years ago, so, maybe she is done? But his NMC clause expired and now it's a M-NTC (15 team No-Trade List,) so I think he doesn't really have control over staying in New York anymore. Residency or not. There's 16 teams that he cannot say no to a trade to.
