Yzerman must be working on some sort of trade because with $20M in cap, there's no reason why Seider and Raymond aren't signed. He must be gonna acquire someone, then figure out what cap he has to clear to get them signed. It has to be D, so who are we getting?

Just waive him and hope he gets picked up, or trade him with retained salary to somebody for the ol' future considerations. IMO they can't go with 3 goalies again. You have Campbell for injury replacement. You go with Lyon and Talbot in Detroit and Cossa, Gylander and Campbell in GR.

With so many LHD on the team when Edvinsson and Johansson are up, I can see Maatta being the one dealt. They seem to like Chiarot a lot and keeping Holl gives them 3 RHD.

Also, when asked if there was another move possible, his answer was "I would say there's another move possible...we'd consider that"

"Future Considerations" San Jose only has 4 Defensemen signed, and ONE Goalie. Holl and Husso to San Jose for MORE future considerations. They have over $16M in cap space, it'll free up another $8.1M for us. Giving us roughly $29M to sign the RFA's and or acquire a better Defender. Might not be done up front either. Even with signing Berggren, that's only 12 forwards where we stand. We dump Husso and Holl, that'll leave room for a 13th forward while having only 2 goalies up and 8 D counting Edvinsson and AJo. IF Laggeson goes to GR.

It's funny, I saw the trade, then went to capfriendly.com to see our current roster and saw we still only had $20M in cap! I was like, oh s***, who'd we get! LETS GO! now upgrade the D, ditch Husso and get RFA'S signed! We're ready!

If not Trouba, maybe Fowler? Since Anaheim has to get above the floor, they can retain 50% and take some salary back. Problem is his M-NTC only includes 4 teams he'll accept a trade to. Doubt he'd waive to come here.

Here's the thing, it's now a M-NTC, there's only 15 teams he won't go to. That means there's 16 that they can dump him to without him having a say in it. Or they can just waive him and he might end up 3000 miles away in San Jose!
