What would reaction be? http://detroitsportsnation.com/detroit-red-wings-news/ddrysdale/did-pavel-datsyuk-just-hint-at-possible-return-to-detroit-red-wings/93688/

Looking at the full list, is there anyone you'd use one of our many lower round picks on?

2017 Stanley Cup Finals: Nashville Predators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
LeftWinger replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Didn't know it happened. So it was 5-1 at one point? The way I see it is, don't do Nashville any favors. Overturning a 5-1 goal has no impact on the game. Overturning the 1-0 goal changed the momentum of the game. Uncle Gary strikes again! -

What the f*** happened? I turned it off it was 1-1... -
Scott Stevens resigned his position as assistant coach in Minny...wonder if he would like a job in Detroit? That'd be a nice target for the Wings.
-
Also, then we'd have to protect him and expose another forward.
-
I don't think Kenny would give up the picks to sign him though...
-
I said that I wasn't suggesting that it was going to happen, but if it came down to it, you know as well as I do, Holland will send a waive exempt guy down just because he can, if he has too many forwards. We shouldn't be in that situation, but I was just saying, if we got there, Holland can and would send down waiver exempt players...can't say it hasn't happened. But Ya, I do agree, with only 10 forwards signed, the odds are no way it happens. But even if we do lose a forward to Vegas, that leaves 9 signed, make it 11 with Tatar and AA re-signing, we still have roster room for 3 more forwards, I am kind of doubting he will fill those 3 spots all with Griffins...
-
Think about this, lose a forward to Vegas, trade a forward in a package for a Defender. Now we're down to 8 forwards signed. Remembering that if push came to shove, both Mantha and AA are waiver exempt. Not that I'm saying they should start in the A, but it's possible to do if we acquire multiple players at the forward position.

He'd have a good shot at top 6 on this team, as long as Helm, Sheahan, Abdelkaer and Glendening stay where they belong.
-
Once we get rid of Howard, we'll agree to take Niemi off their hands and give them the #9 and one of Nyquist/Tatar for the #3. Vilardi will be ours. I'll be sad we won't get Tippett, but Vilardi is awesome too!

Who has been the Red Wings MVP in the last 25 years?

Must we always argue?!? just kidding, hell I don't know where i got that from either! I swear I was adding the numbers up...lol, maybe my eyes moved to another column as I was moving up the list. Oops! -

Well the years they played together, Lidstrom had 154 points and Vladdy had 175 points. Also his +/- was out of this world, he was a +60 in 96 alone. -
Kind of reminds me of Hasek. I remember when he said the same thing a year after he retired. "If" he came back, it'd be for Detroit (I think he threw Ottawa in there as well.) I think he has a bit of an itch, but that's probably normal of players that leave or retire.

This made me think of an old puck I have from the 80's. Here's a pic of it I found on google.

Maybe McIlrath will earn himself another contract...maybe a few call ups. https://twitter.com/RedWingsFeed/status/869615683180441602

Not as long as the NHL pampers the pens. -

Just saw the overturned goal...not surprised that call went for Pitt. Should've been a good goal, preds got screwed by uncle Gary. This pampering Pitt is really turning my stomach to the point of no return. Clearly onside. -

The scary thing is, when the cap first hit and teams had to buy players out (McCarty, Hatcher) what if we had to decide between Vladdy and Nick? I'm sure if Vladdy stayed healthy he would've been making $6M+ as well... -

He was one of the most impactful Wings of all time. Players, for me are the three, Lidstrom, Fedorov, Yzerman...the rest are 2nd tier behind those. Leetch's win should've been Konstantinov's. -

Mike Ilitch. -
Save the money. What if we swing a deal for Trouba? He'll cost a lot to re-sign. Plus the Fowler idea too. He'll cost a lot if we can get him ufa, or re-sign if we trade for him.
-
Hoping Fowler makes it to ufa next July. Again, I'd rather save the cap and throw it at Fowler next season if he doesn't re-up with Anaheim.
-
I would in a heartbeat trade Nyquist for Fowler. But would Anaheim?
