I have a super great feeling we're going to get Tippett at 9 and then trade up into the 20's a draft Hague. The only thing that stops this is if Holland brokers a deal for Trouba, Hamilton or Fowler. I could see trading an asset or 2 and the #9 to Calgary for Hamilton and their 1st, which I think is the 15th. But what assets? Whew! If we keep the #9, I'm pretty sure he'll be there...but man, all these mock draft out there, nobody knows who will go where! I am begging the Hockey Gods that he is there at 9 and Holland picks him. It says a ton that the organization has been heavily scouting Missisauga. I think Holland wants Tippett and Hague, I guess it all depends who is gone and when. I bet if Tippett is gone before 9, Holland makes a deal to move down a bit a tries to get Hague.

That's fine. We'll see when he signs somewhere. If a team is telling him he'll get an nhl spot, that's where he'll go. That WILL be a deciding factor. Plus on your list, I don't recall 90% of those guys being coveted by multiple teams. Zucchini was, but the others mostly weren't.

I mean any of these players. Do you actually think Dekeyser wouldve signed here if he wasn't guaranteed an nhl spot? Sure he wanted to be a Wing, but if there was no room for him here, he wouldve gone elsewhere. These FA's want to be in the nhl. Granted there are exceptions like Nosek. But I don't recall him being coveted by multiple teams.This guy is and will probably choose a team that he can be in the nhl.

If history dictates anything with these players, they aren't coming to a nhl team to not be in the nhl. Maybe they spend one year in the A, but then they pull the whole "either I'm in the nhl or I'm going home. " it's happened a lot.

OK, I'll you that, but hank wasn't a top 10 pick either. If we drafted pettersson and his 2-3 years to develop in the 5th round, then cool. But you don't draft someone in the top 10 that needs to develop.

Z stepped right into the NHL on a fully loaded all-star team. How can he be compared to Z if he needs 2-3 years to develop? Pettersson would be a huge waste of a top 10 pick. I somewhat agree. I believe we need Tippett more so, but if he's gone, go with Suzuki.

There's a Suzuki and a Yamamoto both in the draft. Either of which would be fine additions to The Wings.
