Seriously, everybody outside of the 5 I listed are in play. I like Jensen, Sproul and XO, but for the right deal, I'd include them as well. Some folks say we are just bashing the coach, but seriously, in an OT game against a division rival whom you also happen to be fighting for a playoff spot, you start Helm, Abby and DD...followed up by Z, Nyquist, Green. With all due respect to Z and Green. Here is what your OT lines should look like, barring injury: Vanek - Nielsen - Green Mantha - Z - Jensen AA - Larkin - Green Then if needed: Tatar - Helm - XO Never, EVER, EVER should anyone else see 3 on 3 OT. Well, I keep him because he IS our best player, and if we are blowing up the rest, I may as well keep my best players. I understand the draft pick thing, but I don't need that draft pick (#29 or #30 probably) and if I am entertaining the idea of trading Vanek, I am getting a higher end prospect in return.

When "coach" takes the two best players and demotes them to the bottom 6 and continues to give 21 and 14 top 6 minutes, then we have a problem...I do agree with the talentless roster though as well... also, when "coach" splits up the best line you've had all year long (72-51-62) then we have a problem... This should be your top 6 for the rest of the season (barring injury) Larkin - Z - Mantha AA - Nielsen - Vanek You're correct, every other play are bottom 6 players and outside of 21, 14 and to an extent 26, are ALL pretty much carbon copies of each other. On D, honestly, outside of Green's sometime offensive talent, the best guys are Sproul, XO and Jensen...

What I do now as GM? Blow it up! I keep, Z, Larkin, AA, Mantha, Nielsen and re-sign Vanek. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE else is available. I looked at the expansion draft tool and I seriously cannot choose 7 forwards that I want to protect! Even if you look at my list, with Larkin exempt, I only have 4. I'm to the point, and it hurts me to say this, but I'd even trade Mrazek right now. It's also pretty sad when your best defensemen are Sproul, XO and Jensen. I'm mean its not sad that they are good, it's just that they are pretty much rookies. I don't know what the hell happened to DD. I'd say he contracted to "big contract" disease, but he was regression last year too. He's just been awful. Is Mrazek bad this year because of the D? I don't know, but like I said, I am at the point to where I am listening to offers for him. I'm think it is more Ken "tie goes to the vet" Holland. That's why Babcock left maybe. Still though, Blashill is garbage. I don't get how you can take your two best scorers and demote them to the bottom 6. PLUS your best line combo of 72-51-62 didn't see any ice together last night...and wasn't it just last couple of weeks that everyone was saying how much Z and Mantha play great together? Ok, lets put Mantha on the 4th line then... BTW, I'd sell the tickets and enjoy other better things around Michigan.

Listened to most of the game on the drive down....holy hell. Vanek played, yet Blashill played him, Nielsen and AA all on separate lines..Mantha still on 4th. Nyquist and Tatar still top 6. The Only solution is to fire the coach and GM. New gm Trade ALL overpaid useless players.

I can see a package of Tatar and Jurco for a prospect that has waiver exemptions. Maybe a late round pick as well.

I swear, up until recently his name wasn't listed In the same list as Mrazek. I swear it was only Howard, Mrazek and Pasquale.

I guess I'm just comparing Tatar getting top minutes and AA, Mantha getting benched in situations they should be playing.

Don't blame the guy and I'm not surprised. Every night he watches overpaid garbage playing top 6 minutes that aren't doing anything for this club, while he can't get more than 2-3 games in 3 months to try and prove anything. Then he sees his coach constantly bench the best players on the team while guys like Sheahan, Nyquist, Tatar etc...never get the bench even though they are playing absolutely horrible. Yet they all still get tons of minutes because why? Because this may be THE shift that gets them off the schnide. I hope he gets traded and gets his 15ish goals playing for a coach who knows what's he's doing. He won't get us much, but I understand and totally support him wanting out. It's funny that Tatar and he both want out..you think they talked about it together?
