    12/20 GDT : Red Wings 1 at Lightning 4

Maybe, but if you can't achieve one, they make a blue pill for it. Now you see why Datsyuk wanted out, and why Babs split. Holland has too much say in the lineup and lines, and hires pawns and puppets who don't challenge him. This is a sad day. But I'm out until the house is swept clean. I'll be here to be a contributing member, but I am 100% out of watching this s*** that Holland has assembled and has grossly overpaid. Sad day indeed...

Jesus, the 1989-90 team wasn't even this bad.

Honestly, this coaching staff shouldn't board the team plane after the game. Fired!

What the f*** am I watching here? Nyquist is the perfect example of his salary dictating his icetime. 1 goal in 24 games? He should be in Jurco's spot.

    Who's to blame?

We should trade Holland for Bowman.

12/19 LGW GDT : Red Wings vs Hurricanes : GAME CANCELLED

Officially cancelled. I'm calling it now, at the end of the regular season they will be 1 point out of the playoffs and this makeup game will be the most important 2 points of the season!

2:1..... Which player did the Red Wings want to draft in 1989, in the round after Fedorov, only to be told he wasn't eligible, then he became eligible in the following round and someone else drafted him?

That reminds me of a classic Ken Daniel's comment one night in Buffalo... "Datsyuk picks the pocket of Peca..." Mickey was laughing saying that "you couldn't wait to say that, eh?" Funny stuff!

Is this your trivia question? No is the answer!

So, after next season John Tavares is a UFA. What are the chances that we'll be able to use Nielsen to lure him to Detroit? Wouldn't that be nice?

You're pretty much right mom. It was kind of a tricky question. 3 players are the answer. Officially, Mickey, then Fedorov AND Sheppard both in 1994. None since....your turn.

Who was the first and last 50 goal scorers for us?

    A Big Thanks!

I agree with most of it.....Holland was not GM until July of 1997. So he did not bring them that Cup neither. I don't give him credit for 98, even though he was there as GM. In 99, I give him credit for trying to get the ever elusive triple Cup win. I believe the NHL screwed the Wings that year. I actually do not give him credit for 2002 either. Sure, he made the deals and signed the papers, but Bowman got what Bowman wanted. He built that team with Holland's signature and Mike's wallet. I give him some credit for 08. I do give him credit for listening to his scouts and inner circle. To me, Holland is not and was not anywhere near the best GM in the NHL. I thank Scotty Bowman, Jim Devellano, Bryan Murray, Steve Yzerman, Bob Probert, Sergei and the Russian 5. I also thank Shawn Burr, Dino Ciccarelli, Paul Coffey, Nick Lidstrom, Brad McCrimmon for being Nick's first nhl regular partner and teaching him the nhl game. Thank you Dominator. Thank you Patrick Roy for game 7 and making ABC look like the biased jack assess they are when they didnt give Detroit a chance and made all the news about you and still had to run all the pieces on how you've never lost a game 7, even after you were down 4-0 in the 1st. Thank you Holmer. Thank you KFC for many,MANY early nineties nights of Hot Wings and Red Wings. Thank you Stash, for my 27th b-day gift of a little old hockey game on March 26th, 1997. To quote him, after the goalie brawl, "I don't even care if they lose, this is the best game I've ever been to in my life!" If any of you were there live with us, I'm sure you totally concur with his statement...but hey, they even won. My God, where has the time gone?

    The Dead Wings.

Probert and Kocur weren't part of the Dead Wings era. They were rookies in 86. The Dead Wings were 70's and early 80's. They ceased to exist when Jacques Demers took over the bench. He did win two Jack Adams trophies in a row.
