Should've dealt Sprong, Ghost, Holl at deadline for picks. Yzerman kept them together as a team and look how they've repaid him. I'd package a 1st, more picks and a player at the draft for Chychrun and the same for Fowler. The only D I want returning are Seider, Walman, Edvinsson. Chiarot, Holl, Maata will get you a few mid-level draft picks that can be packaged. Let Ghost walk, let Sprong walk. Offer Perron a coaching job. Buyout Petry and Husso. Go with Lyon/Cossa next season. Ugh this is too much. I'll go to the off-season thread.

I talked a lot about him when he wasn't qualified. Yzerman had just signed two other former Hawks that weren't signed in prior years. I surely thought he'd do the same for a 3rd overall pick. But I just figured he knows more than I do. Damn I wish he would've signed him. Unless the Yzerplan included buying out 2 players this summer and trading away and acquiring better players, then i am getting very skeptical of this mysterious plan. 7 years is far too long. I want to see Chychrun and Fowler here via trade. I don't care of it costs 1st rounders. It's time to upgrade via trade. This drafting and waiting and filling the roster with middling UFA's has gotten old.

Remember when Dylan Strome wasn't qualified by Chicago in 22' and he became a UFA? Detroit could've signed him. But they chose not to. Even when they were in dire need of a young Center that would line up with our rebuild timeline. 125 points in 152 games sure sounds good to have. Oh, andhe could be centering Kane and Debrincat.

The Wings are playing their best tonight. They are passing the puck around very well and creating lots of scoring chances. If they can keep this up for the whole game, they have a good chance of winning.

Sadly it'll be Holl in. This is essentially game 7 elimination for us. If we lose tonight, the playoffs are pretty much gone. Wings better show up tonight.

He played 2. If he had played a 3rd, he would've lost his waiver exemptions. They then could not have sent him back down to play in the playoffs, he most definitely would've gotten claimed. He must not have impressed them enough to warrant staying in Detroit. I have a feeling he's traded at the draft or this summer, before he can file for arbitration.

ya, it takes some time. It would be nice to be able to see them all and select the ones you want to delete and just press delete.

You have to go to your attachments, then click on the thread they are in (it'll tell you where they are) and then select "edit" post, delete attachment, then save. There might be another way, but that is how I do it. If the thread is too old, you cannot edit it, so the attachment is there forever. I have some that are 6 years old that I cannot edit.

Copp isn't going to waive his NTC to go to SJ. Yzerman isn't going to waive him. As for your suggestion of where he'd rather play, he's on a 1-way contract, so even if he got waived and cleared, and was playing in GR, he's still making the same money. So maybe he would rather play in GR over SJ? He's still "home" and he is still making $6.25M in actual salary, there is way less pressure down there, and he'd probably dominate. Detroit would only be getting $1.2M in cap relief by sending him there, so that makes zero sense for Yzerman. So, IF he were to be traded, he pretty much controls where he doesn't go.

Copp has a 10 team NTC, I doubt he'd waive it to go to SJ. Winnipeg or Rangers might want him back, he'd gladly go to a contender. It's sad that the hometown kid just isn't working out.
