I was just saying that don't be fooled by Holland when he says Nielsen was his first choice. We all felt that if Holland didn't move Pav's contract he should be fired. It's just more lies trying to fool the fans that he wasn't interested in Stamkos in the first place by saying Nielsen was his first choice.

Don't believe what Holland tells you, Nielsen was NOT his #1 choice. He only said that to save face after getting stiffed by not even getting a chance to talk to Stamkos. That is the only reason he traded Dats contract, not to sign Nielsen, but to get a shot at Stamkos. Hindsight, of course, he should have kept Dats, drafted Chychrun and then tried Vanek. But, we all were calling for his head if he DIDN'T move that contract, outside of us feeling that Stammer wouldn't choose us, none of us could predict that we wouldn't even get a chance to talk to him. The thing is, I am not so sure anyone else wanted Dats contract, ARZ only wanted it to get Chychrun, if he was already selected, we'd still have Dat's cap hit.

So not a Jimmy fan, BUT, I think maybe Petr has gotten too comfortable now that he has been named #1. As soon as he took over last season as the legit #1, it seemed he got a bit too cocky and he has been struggling ever since. Maybe its time to play Jimmy for a 10 game stretch as the #1 and reiterate to Petr that nothing is given to you on a platter, and then maybe he'll re-find some focus to put him back on the track he was pre-birthday last season. He may need to see that his job can be taken away as quick as he earned it. Rough love...

LIke I said, the "kids" back in the early 90's were played every night and were allowed to lose and grow and learn to play together....that was when Devellano and Murray were here, then Bowman. We're seeing how much Holland values his "kids" and we're seeing what Blashill thinks of icing a team of kids and letting them learn and grow. I don't care what your pay check is, if you aren't playing up to professional status, you sit. Sorry, this is a business and fans pay YUGE amounts of cash to see a team play well, win or lose, the want to see a competitive team, not this dump and chase, clear off the boards, throw to an open wing and ***** foot passes around instead of shooting type game we are seeing. This is garbage hockey, and the garbage coaching is hindering the development of the like of Larkin, AA, Sproul, etc... I seriously thought we were getting a good coach that would change the philosophy here....nope. I agree, but Mantha on the 4th line won't. We all know there has to be a piano mover on every flipping line so there is no way Mantha would help us if he is inserted on the 4th because Abby and Sheahan have to be top 6. Then Blashill will say how much Mantha isn't working hard enough and how he didn't like 10 minutes of his play...all while outplaying most of the team.

Could you imagine if Holland and Blashill were running this team when Fedorov, Kozlov, Lidstrom, Konstantinov, Lapointe,Draper, McCarty etc... were kids?

Ya, I wondered about that. I would replace Sheahan with AA and Green with Sproul. of course I'd like to think that we'd protect Helm instead of Z, but that is not as big of deal as protecting Kronwall over XO. Of course if there are no changes. If a D is acquired, they would get the protect, but I would hope they'd still protect Sproul over Krownwall...

I'm mad at Holland, but I'm more mad at Blashill for the same game plan every night despite the team losing and looking like s***. I'm done with Ericsson. I'm done with Smith. Play XO and Sproul from here on out. The forward combos are hot garbage. Enough with the "every line needs a piano mover" bulls***. Could you imagine any team try to keep up with a line of AA, Helm and Larkin? At least put Nyquist and Helm back together, ever since he split them up they've returned to their former inept selves. I think Blashill is the problem moreso than Holland.

This team is two defenseman away from even sniffing the playoffs. Plus a coach that knows how to assemble a line combination. This team is toast until then.

I'm not worried about Kronwall beung c a detriment, the D is already bad. But I worry about who sits. Good things happened when Sproul was in. I think he should be in and sit Smith or Marchenko. Kronwall - Green DD - Sproul Ericsson - Marchenko But I know better...

So with Kronwall in, I imagine both Sproul and XO are out. Should be Smith or Marchenko to a lesser extent, imo. But hey, let's ice ZERO kids on D and then blame AA for the loss even though he's out playing most of the team. I hate Blashill.

Well I am 1000% positive that AA would've shot the puck instead of standing there like a deer in headlights like Helm did that lead to the loss... I do not like Blashill. When AA is an RFA, I can see him taking a stance much like Trouba. I wouldn't blame him.

Not saying what's he's brought, I'm comparing today, this year. Not saying Z is crap, but if he thinks AA is not consistent enough, then what does he call the others? Are we giving vets a pass because of what they've done? But AA gets judged by a 2nd half of a period? This encompasses exactly what's wrong with Blashill and this organIzation. God Bless Z for what he's done, but no way has AA done anything to deserve how bad Blashill is talking about him. He has outplayed and out worked most of the team every game he's played. I'd give an advantage to Larkin, Helm, Nyquist, Vanek and Nielsen who have done a bit better, but that's it. AA is right there with them and does not deserve this criticism. Again, not saying the rest have sucked, just saying they have been more inconsistent than AA yet none get called out...this is the now, appreciate the past, but the past does nothing for the now. We all know Z is a shadow of himself and it's not fair to say AA is not playing good enough, but the likes of Z and co. are. Blashill is losing it and he's losing the fan base.

Bingo! I've said for a long time that Holland orders his coaches to play certain players and in certain roles in compliance with salary and loyalty. How long exactly did Abby play 4th line? Disagree with me, but IMO Z should be 4th line center or out. Mantha should be top 6. So should AA.

I'll start by expressing two concerns if we miss the playoffs. 1. I am not sure I trust Ken Holland to make the right choice at the draft. 2. Is it a waste for this current team to have a lottery pick, let alone a #1? There will no room on our roster for whomever is drafted, due to more players running out of waiver options and more than a few long term contracts that will no doubt screw up our retooling. ...although, having a top 5 pick, and not really knowing what to do with it, we'd have NUMEROUS suitors banging on the desk () to offer us whatever for that 1st round pick. I'm reading here and there that things aren't so rosey in Minny. People are calling for Fletcher to be fired, trade this guy, sit that guy...I wonder if Ryan Suter would be on the table for the right price? I know he has a NMC, and his wife, etc...but in reality it is a business. Although, I wonder if he'd even still be interested in playing here. oh, BTW, and I am talking to myself as much as anyone, lets try to keep the "Player X sucks" and "Fire Holland" type comments to a minimum!
