I think Sheahan and Vanek should switch lines. Nyquist, Helm, Sheahan could actually be a good trio. I think Vanek is wasted out of the top 6. But he will be on the 1st PP unit. He should be at least.

It's a well written article and it was tweeted by a Red Wings news source. So if I can't come here or other threads and talk about players on this team, maybe I should talk about other teams...

I think Sheahan and Vanek should switch lines, but I'm sure Blashill will be switching things a lot. I seriously hope all three of Tatar, Nyquist and Helm exceed my expectations. If we can get Nyquist and Tatar back to 30, Helm to 20 and then mypredictions of Vanek to 30, we just might surprise folks...me included. I think our D will be the downfall of this team, but then again, you don't really know until you play the games, yes? I'm going with a surprise 4-1 win for us today. 2 PP goals by Vanek, playmaker by Neilson, Larkin and Ott with two other goals. Johnson with the Tampa goal.

Exactly. Blashill has power of who plays from the pool that Holland gives him. He said that AA wasn't good enough in camp, yet he was given AA, so Blashill has him in the pressbox. Not sure what his opinion of Frk was, but at least if AA was in GR (safely) and someone had to be in the pressbox, why not make it Frk? Why waive him? Because the blundering idiot thinks that just because someone won't trade for a player that no one is interested in them. Obviously multiple teams were. They just played Holland like the buffoon his is.

Will be very interesting to watch this development. I love how it says Red Wings Blunder....because Holland is a blundering idiot. We will miss both Pulk and Frk. Two RH'd shots that we don't have anymore and need on the team. But hey, maybe Nyquist will score 15 goals this year and Blashill will continue to play Abby in a role he isn't capable of playing. I like Abby, but he's not top line material. I don't recall ever seeing Pulk last season even given the chance on the top line with Larkin and Zetterberg or Datsyuk. For those of you that still wonder why no TOP talent UFA's will even consider Detroit....Ken Holland is the answer. When Jon Drouin told Yzerman to play him or trade him, guess what Yzerman said, I make the rules around here and now look at Drouin. When Helm told Holland he has offers to play elsewhere, Holland got on his knees, sucked him off, gave him too much AND a NTC, PLUS guaranteed 3rd line or higher minutes. Blashill is now seeing why Babcock left. Fixed.
