Signed Glendening signs 4-year, $1.8m AAV extension
LeftWinger replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
At least he's 4th liner who knows where he is going to play. He's not whining about top 6 minutes when he knows he doesn't belong there. -

Uh.....ok, let's keep 8 dmen instead. One of xo/sproul/Jensen will be #7 with the current roster. The other two will be sent to GR and be forced to go through waivers. If Frk is good, the other fwds with exemptions will start in GR. Holland won't risk losing him to another team. Not unless Cleary wants to play... Of course a trade involving any of these players will change things. -

I believe I said 5 d signed, DD will make 6 and ONE OF XO/SPROUL/JENSEN WILL MAKE 7. XO is Ouellet. I excluded the fwds that can safely start in GR. Once Pulk is back, the safe player will be sent to GR...unless Frk s***s the bed and doesn't make the team out of camp. No skewing...but you can go read it again. -

Mantha, Nosek and AA have exemptions left. Frk does not. The 3 can start the season in GR without danger. Frk has no exemptions. Unless Frk s***s the bed in pre-season then it's absolutely possible that he'll be here with one of the other guys with exemptions. I'd prefer Mantha, AA and Frk be here, but this is Holland and he has to re-sign Helm and Miller. Plus refuses to dump Nyquist for a top defender. At least so far he has refused to... -

Here's how it's going down, right now with Pulk signed there are 17 forwards on the roster. Take away LTIR for Pulk, Franzen, Viale and that is 14, that's WITH AA in GR. Frk can stay in Detroit to start the season and split time with Ott/Miller as the 12th. Mantha could also start in GR bringing it down to 13 fwds. He'll be sent down once Pulk is healthy anyhow, keeping it at 14 with Frk. Currently there are 5 D signed, DD will make 6 and one of XO/Sproul/Jensen will make #7. I keeping reading Fowler is coming, but with a roster of 14 fwds, 7 dman and 2 goalies. Holland is probably done. Unfortunately...and that's why the leadership ranking is so low. He has the opportunity via trade to make necessary changes, he refuses. Stanley Cup champions make those trades when needed. Chicago, LA, Pittsburgh. Remember how all of us laughed at Pittsburgh when they traded for Kessel? Well a lot of us did. -

Top tier UFA's feel the same way! Holland started this path with "The Choice" and pushed all his superstars away. Then signs middling talent to outrageous contracts. Then forces coach to play them in the top 6 when they're obviously 13th forwards. Developed kids for 4 years only to suppress them in the minors or in the press box then lose them to waivers...you go Kenny, you go girl! I can't list the players that should be gone, or nevrr re-signed, it's rudundent. -
Interference.
-
It'd be the same as moving his stick away from him if it were on the ice. Interference. He interfered with the opposing player's ability to play the puck. 2 minutes.
-
Interference....you cannot purposely knock another players stick out of his hands. It'd be different if he "lifted" the stick to steal the puck and it flew out of his hands, but he had full control of the puck, left it, knocked the stick up I need the air and continued the play. Interference would've been called.

I think Nyquist, Smith, prospect gets you Fowler. I'd prefer Ericsson, but we know nobody is taking him... -

There's a good chance that only Marchenko will remain from that entire draft...

It's all going to be fine, I am the MegaMillions winner and am in negotiations to buy controlling interest in The Detroit Red Wings Hockey Club. When the transfer is complete, things will start happening! Trust me, no kicking tires! -

Ya, I've read that Trouba will cost too much. I'd give up Nyquist, Jurco, Pulkkinen, Helm (obviously) Tatar, Smith, Ericsson, Sproul, Jensen, Ouellet in any sort of package to acquire Fowler. I'd prefer to dump Ericsson over any of the other D listed and Nyquist over the other f's. Unfortunately I don't think Holland cares at this point about waiving a couple of the D kids. I'd prefer to package them or get at least a pick. But I think Kenny is content with waiving 2 of them if he must and roll the dice. -

He's not crippled. Wasn't crippled. He played magician like again in the world championship. He was dogging it here. I get it, his heart was not here, he didn't want to play 3 yrs, he signed it though...honor it...and oh, btw, don't say you want to live by your daughter and play 30 hours away...my vote is now NO to #13...especially if we're talking about no to #91. If it went up, fine, but my vote is no. -

Holland's needs to make the Fowler (or Trouba) deal. That's what will save him this summer after being snubbed (again) by the best available UFA. He's got to shed one of our nhl defensemen, a couple d kids 3 nhl forwards. If not, the offseason will be a fail in retrospect. -

Just to play Devils advocate here, you all know I think Fedorov deserves his # retired and I do blame Holland for Feds leaving us. BUT, he actually left us once before when he signed the offer sheet from Carolina in 98. So he left us twice, so I totally understand why management may have felt, or maybe still feels about him. I have a feeling though that wounds are healed more than we think because Holland was bringing him back in 08, he wanted him, but someone in the circle of trust nixed it. I believe he asked Babs opinion and he was against it, but not really sure how it went down. I do know Holland had a deal in place to bring him home, but it everyone wasn't on board with it... -

Ahhhhhhhkay...so it's not fact that he's 30 hours away. Because that is what I thought I said. He's 30 hours away, yes or no? Sheesh... Either way, he's not "close" to family. It was all about going back to Russia to play, not anything else. He is a ***** for reneging on his contract. But blame Holland for not getting him players to p l system with. He played with 3rd and 4th line players the last 5 years or so. -

Ahh, but you did tell me to "get it right." I had it right. -
If he doesn't get claimed, he's going to have to be bought out. Too bad we're stuck with what seems is going to be $10M in goalies and a couple other $4M contracts that are a waste of roster spots.

...again, I never suggested, eluded to, said or even referred to a flight. I said he plays 30 hours away. I don't care how folks read it, nowhere in my original post, which I quoted above, was the word or idea of a flight ever brought up. Shame on the folks who actually thought of a flight when I said 30 hours...
