I agree. But if we're in the playoffs, we probably won't be making any deals for picks. Kane will be our big acquisition, but only because most players are playing really well. Veleno, Fabbri, for example, are contributing like we'd hoped they would be, so why ditch them? If anything Yzerman identifies some flaws now and makes an early deal. Kostin seems to be screwing up, but he's easily a 13th forward. Definitely need to figure out which goalie is going to go soon. Maybe they ride Lyon for awhile and see if he is a legit #1 before a decision is made. Buy this is Steve Yzerman, 2am deals out of nowhere could be queueing up as we speak!

I'll take Bouchard and McLeod actually. But rumors stirring have RNH possibly being dealt. Fans hate Bouchard so they would welcome a trade involving him. Here's your typical Holland trade: Husso, Maatta, McIsaac for Bouchard, RNH, McLeod, 1st.

We'd have to dump a goalie. Maybe send Husso over to Edmonton? He's not great obviously, but he's better than what they have. Plus we'd have to make room for Edvinsson. I agree though, these things need to happen if they want to make the playoffs. Question is, will bold moves be made or are we going to limp through another lottery season.... I like the idea of Saros. Bring up Edvinsson and add scoring (Kane.) Could be a great recipe for making the playoffs. But that's 3 roster spots that'll have to be opened via trade. We'll since Czarnik was waived, I guess only 2 spots.

Who or what (picks) do we deal in order to acquire the goalie? And which goalie? Calgary is tearing it down, could we get a package from them including Markstrom or Vladar? Along with Hanafin or Zadarov? What's the price?

Remember when the power play was nearly unstoppable? Why did they change it up? Whoever suggested it or did it is a fool.

Czarnik is on waivers. Could this be a move to open a roster spot and some more cap for Kane?

I'm really hoping it wasn't a mistake passing on Wallstedt. But maybe Yzerman can get himself another good young goalie. Askarov? Alnefelt?

Holland needs a goalie. Darth Yzerman will convince Holland that Husso is the G he needs, fleece him for a young player and a pick, then we'll ride Lyon and Reimer the rest of the way! Playoffs? Maybe. If not then another top 10 pick wouldn't hurt.

It's ok, but they need to get rid of the stupid DJ horn part if it. Plus, still hate the Woooo. In general their DJ and PA announcer suck. While we're at it, get rid of Don't Stop Believin' as well. It's time to move on to something better.

Ya, but if the Gretzky deal went through, it would've changed the whole trajectory of the 90's Wings. Everywhere he went he eventually brought his friends with him. It would've changed our draft position and needs. I will also remind you, Gretzky and friends never won another Cup after he was dealt. I shiver to think that we could possibly still be in a Cup drought. Obviously we don't know for sure, but I'll take what we had. So basically, I'm not comfortable with what it may take to acquire McDavid.

Are they trying to lose this? 4 goals on 18 shots? Why is Husso even starting any more? Just trsde the guy while he has value (some) and go with Reimer-Lyon. Husso has gone downhill since mid last season.

I said it when they announced he was back (maybe on X) that he'd get one game and then go on LTIR this time. If he's "iffy" tomorrow its one step closer to happening. Better up the contract offer for Kane!
