so you say they would have no interest in XO or Sproul, but they'd take Kindl? Helm, XO & a 1st is way good enough for a UFA to be. He may not be a Red Wing ever, but guarantee he goes for similar or less!
-
No way they'd expect Mantha....Sproul and XO are two of our TOP D prospects, NHL ready, the 1st rounder may be another mid teen pick and Helm is Helm. That is plenty of a package.
-
I was just wondering about McKee, anyone been paying attention to him at Western? Does he look like he may make GR anytime soon?
-
No to Mrazek....period. But, I would come with the offer of Helm, (one of) XO/Sproul and a 1st round pick. Even then I would be working like gangbusters to resign him, because to me thats a lot going back to WPG. But if he does what he supposed to do plus re-signs, it'd be well worth it. to WPG: Darren Helm, Xavier Oullet (or Sproul,) 1st rnd pick. to DET: Dustin Byfuglien How I'd use him is most definitely on the top pairing, but I would also put him in front of the net on the top power play.

Jeff Blashill = Dave Lewis 2.0 / Coaching Change

Dang, installed Win10 with new settings and I still cannot quote someone...crap Anyhow, Blash is our future, he will have just as much if not more success than our former coach. Next you'll be saying trade Franzen! Sheesh! Cannot believe this has 2 pages of replies... -
So, it was brought to attention last night that Gus wasn't on Sheahan's line that year...oops! You're right, I don't know why I thought it was Nyquist that was there, but that was the year he spent most of it in GR. The line indeed was Tats - Sheahan - Jurco. I still say, while we have a few injuries lets give AA a look. Its not going to hurt and like stated, this team won't miss Andy or Ferraro for a handful of games. After last nights lack luster effort they could use a change for a bit. Nyquist - Z - Fonduvader Pulk - Larkin - AA Tats - Sheahan - Jurco Miller - Glen - Helm

we haven't been good since Franzen went out! Wait, what? Maybe its just a coincidence...or is it? Sheahan isn't being seen out there because of his linemates...no offense to Helm or Glen, but literally, there is no offense there. Put Tats and Jurcs back with him. (I was for sure that Gus played on that line, but ya that was the year Gus spent most the year in GR in favor of Cleary, Sammy and Bert.) -

that's it boys...tonights line combos killed us. If they aren't changed up by Ottawa, it'll be more of the same. -

Two non calls... that last play should have been a "Kronwalling" but he is too afraid to do it anymore. -

I think Blash's experiment with that bottom 6 needs to be flushed. Its time to sit Andy, move Helm and Glenny back to 4th and promote AA. -

on that play Petr was just like Hasek...lets call it a MrHazsek play. Sure glad we got it back. I can honestly say, this would not miss Smith or Erection. Just my opinion. -

Bill, I get what you are saying, but it makes ZERO sense to sign Richards and then send him down. Besides, on his 35+ contract might leave a ton of his salary against the cap, the most you can bury is $950,000, hence the reason Cleary was signed to that exact much. Miller and Richards will be here this season, more than likely not next year, that is when we'll see the like of AA & Mantha making the jump I do believe. -
Dickie, that's exactly why you sit Andy and Ferraro to see what AA can do in the top 6. Miller - Glenny - Helm would be a great 4th line. As a matter of fact that'd be a damn good 4th line. Tatar - Z - Abby Pulk - Larkin - AA Jurco - Sheahan - Nyquist MIller - Glen - Helm It wouldn't hurt to ice that team until Richards and/or Pav come back. We won't miss neither of Ferraro or Andy on the 4th. If you must, then switch around AA and Nyquist or Pulk. I simply love the chemistry that Gus, Tinky and Jurcs had before, would love to see if they could rekindl (pun intended) it.

Simple answer: No Complex Answer: No! -
agreed, but just wanting to see players playing in the NHL environment and how they handle it. It wouldn't hurt to sit Andy and Ferraro to give AA a looksee while we have some injuries enabling us to bring a player up for a couple of games. AA would slot right in the 2nd line so he wouldn't be wasted in the 4th line role...just a looksee while we have the chance. I am really interested in what WPG would take for Byf too. Roster player, pick, prospect? 2 roster players, prospect? 2 prospects, roster player?

I'd really like to see Nyquist -Sheahan - Jurco again. They had great chemistry in the past. I wouldn't want to be accused of demotng Nyquist, but its the chemistry that's more important right? So, if that line played together and the 2nd was Tatar - Larkin - Pulk, who can take the RW spot on Z's line with Abby? -
How about: Tatar - Z- Vindicator Pulk - Larkin - AA Jurco - Sheahan - Nyquist Miller - disney.com - Helm Andy/Ferrao sitting...
-
^ Careful, in some countries that kind of stuff is legal!

Tuesday night, October 27th, Frank Fritz watch as The Detroit Red Wings gently explored of the dressing room and insanely stepped onto the ice for their pregame skate. Larkin fired pucks at the closet while Iron Mountain fans watched in envy. You could tell that the wiry referees were going to have to keep an eye on the cereal, as it was going to be a fast game due to the junky skating abilities of both teams. Eric Staal's contorted hair was flowing ala 90's Fedorov style, and Henrik Zetterberg's frantic beard could have scared a vampire. The Red Wings lineup was depleted due to a severe case of cooties, while the Hurricanes were sporting a fairly jovial team full of grimy youngsters and riotous veterans. Jeff Blashill's sock needed no adjusting, and Nick Krownwall's preparation was nothing short of empty. Instead of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing," the music selector was going to play "Chocolate Jesus" if the Red Wings prevailed. The starting lineups were announced, but Blue_Adams couldn't believe Blashill was going to start Abdelkader. Centcougar07 swooned at Miller, while Omnipotent_Hudler encouraged Howard. The ref finally swallowed the puck and everyone could, at last, start calling out Helm as the Bigfoot. Nice!
