I think Miller does his job for the mos part, and does it well. Now, if we're talking re-signing him that is where I am ok with him going or staying, either way, for now, though, I don't think bringing up a prejected top 6 guy and putting him in the bottom 6 helps. But that is just my opinion. There are a lot of decisions to be made in the coming months when I comes to these "Babcock Guys." Not counting Richards, I think the order of importance in which your FWD UFA's to be re-signed are: Abby Helm Miller Andersson any of the bottom 3 in some capacity can be used as trade pawns, maybe not ALL of them, but any one or combo of two wouldn't hurt this team to lose and may help in making this team a bit better within a trade package to where we need to be better. The RFA's Sheahan and Pulkkinen are must re-signs (unless Pulk gets dealt (I hope not)) and Ferraro is nether here nor there for me, he can also be included in a trade package if we must, if not, he won't cost too much towards the cap and will still rotate from 12-14 on the depth chart...

Well with Green and Q out, it might be time to see what other kids can do. I am all for just keeping status quo with Smith and Kindl, but inserting Jensen or Sproul for a couple games wouldn't hurt to see what they have. We know what XO and Marchy have, it's time for the other two to try out the NHL.

Z will be Z, Pav will be Pav, Larkin, for all he has already, is only 19 years old. Tats, Pulk and Gus need to be our gunners, our go to guys, and last night they did it. So happy for them! I feel bad for Jurco, it seems that when he is in, he does't do too much to keep himself in...sadly, he may be one of those guys that may be moved in some manner. How did Marchy look last night?

so, Richards was out, Green got hurt...not complaining about the signings, I like them both. Not complaining about the money or Holland. Just wondering, when was the last UFA we signed that didn't get hurt? When was the last time we signed a UFA that actually stayed healthy. Does this happen to other teams? If so, it just doesn't seem like it does...at least not nearly as much. I can't remember one UFA that didn't get hurt in their first season. Hopefully these two are just minor boo boos...

The McCartney story goes that back in the 70's his band, Wings had their concert in Detroit and someone gave him the sticker because it was The Wings and McCartney stuck it to his guitar because of that, unfortunately not because he was a Red Wings fan. I think the story said he didn't even know what the Red Wings were. Somewhere out there is a pic of all his back-up box guitars and they all have the Wings logo on them like its some kind of trademark now. This story could be an urban legend, but either way, its still cool to see our logo on his guitar!

I think moreso when Pav gets back, we have a bigger issue when it comes to cap. Right now with Pav on LTIR it looks like we have $2.2M in space, I am assuming that when he comes back that would put us over the cap by $5.3M? If so, then that's a ton of extra cheddar to trim. There would have to be more movement than just waiving Andersson or Ferraro or sending Larkin back to GR. Now, unless the current cap situation includes Pav's salary then forget what I just said! I thought, though that when a player is on LTIR it doesn't show his salary against the cap.

Well with the unfortunate circumstance with Franzen and the slim chance that he will be back with the team permanently, I think IMO its a given, even when Datsyuk gets back that Larkin will stay and they will waive either Ferraro or Andersson. Even IF Franzen makes it back to this team, I believe the will still keep Larkin and then waive the other one of the two I mentioned. edit: In honor of 10,000!
