I'm thinking Reese will be the first call up.

They must really feel they'd lose Lyon. Maybe protecting a G to use in a trade with Tampa?
-
Capfriendly.com shows just under $31M for next season.
-
Bizarre? Considering they could've kept a kid?

Danielson stays with Detroit all season. Nets 70 points. Veleno and Fabbri are traded Larkin hits 100 points DeCat hits career high goals and points. Ghost wins Norris Lafreniere is a Red Wing by the TDL. Copp, Chiarot, Comphor, Holl all have career points years. Yzerman is forgiven for the contracts he handed them. Yzerman wins GM of the Year.

Keep The Carly Sniper on the roster! See if Reimer would waive his NTC to go to Tampa. Keep Lyon. Go with 7 D.

8 more on waivers today. Czarnik, Gettinger, Hirose, Lethemon, McIsaac, Newpower, Rafferty, Stevens Nate is still there. Does anyone know if the PTO's are still there? I didn't see any releases, but maybe I missed it.

Cougar. She's about 30 years old, kid's 19. Honestly I think this would be considered a conflict of interest by the organization. I don't think she'd jeopardize her career that way. If true, I wonder if she does all the rookies.

Really? Come on man! You're offended by Saints? Do you know what "Raiders" are known for? Do you know what "Giants" did to the earth? Do you know how bad "Jets" are for the environment? Do you know what "Cowboys" did in our history? Vikings? I'm Chippewa and Cherokee and I'm more offended by the "commanders" honoring the idiots in Washington DC than I ever was with Red Skins...which was never! Why'd MLB change Indians? If they were looking for something to change that was harmful, you think they'd change Pirates...do you what they did? They pillaged and r@ped. But whoa whoa, Indian is offensive! Get over it.

I'm betting if he ends up out, Kane will get a call. A young player will make the club until Kane is ready to play.
-
Fabbri hurt already?
-
Have to remember that McIsaac has to pass through waivers to be sent down this year for the first time. Could some other team take a chance on him? We will see.

We are back baby! Here's the official camp roster with all invitees! Anisimov is an interesting invitee, as is Hutchinson at G. I'm kinda pulling for that guy!

Since we have officially been eliminated, and the Tatar thread has basically turned into an off season discussion, I have created this to focus all of our ideas about this summer in one spot. The Draft Topic Thread is still open and being used, so lets try to keep this to UFA/RFA Signing's, Trade's, Buyouts, Retirements, etc... Obviously all eyes will be on John Tavares this July, if he isn't dealt at the draft. It has been discussed that money won't be an issue because a good chunk of teams will be able to afford him, so it comes down to making your team the most attractive destination. While we aren't on the cusp of a Cup, we do have a lot of other attractive features in order to lure him here. It's not like we have no future in here, he would instantly make our club a playoff contender, and we do have a handful of great young kids here. Of course drafting Dahlin would help out for sure! Also I think if the stars align with Dahlin and Tavares, it would make Detroit an even more attractive destination for Karlsson in 2019. If we could afford him... ...speaking of cap, in last nights radio broadcast, Paul Woods said that the Cap may increase to upwards of $82M for next season. That would be great! In addition to wanting JT here, I want to run a trade proposal past you guys. How does this sound? Trade the Las Vegas 1st round pick to Arizona for Max Domi and 2018 2nd? (which was originally Minny's so it wouldn't be too high of a high 2nd) Also, if we fail at JT, is there any other UFA you'd like to go after? I'm thinking JVR would be a bad back up prize.

Honestly, I think they'll need Hutchinson when they ultimately send Cossa and Lethemon back to Toledo. -

Stamkos to Detroit back to his boy Yzerman, start the rumors! In other words, Tampa won't pay him his worth. https://x.com/Chris_Krenn/status/1704517551005299192?s=20 -

There are a bunch of "if's" but I believe they still win 08, and even with Rafalski on one leg, they could've still won 09. Game 6 or 7, one more goal. Fedorov could've played D and made up for Rafalski on one leg. I realize it's all hindsight and maybe's, but the fact remains that with all the crap coming out of how much of a dick Babcock was and still is, it scraps my ass knowing that he was most likely the guy who had the "no" vote to bring Sergei back. -

With this latest Babcock news, and all of the other news about him being a dick to players, I am reminded of the 2008 TDL when we almost re-acquired Sergei Fedorov. It was wildly rumored that Babcock was the one that didn't want him to come play here. I am encouraged that even though Babdick didn't want him here, Holland still tried to acquire him, but didn't want to pay the price. Filppula and a 1st, which is ironic since he was so quick to give a 1st away for KFQ without blinking an eye. This was just CBJ ask, there was no counter by Holland as far as I can remember, and Fedorov ended up going to Washington for pretty much a nobody who turned in to a bigger nobody. Flip had a nice career, after he left Detroit, but IMO, if Detroit would've re-acquired Sergei, they probably would've won back to back in 08/09. Plus if it was the 09 1st rounder, heaven forbid that we didn't trade that for a 2nd and a 3rd (Ferraro and Nestrasil) they really did so much to help this franchise! Shulda, woulda, coulda, but looking back, this is an early indication about how Babcock let personal feelings get in the way of a teams success. Fast forward to what we are all learning about him now, with multiple Red Wings and Maple Leafs stories, I really cannot stand this guy and really wish he wasn't part of this team's History. He ruined many players swan-songs, including what should've been a glorious homecoming for Mike Modano. -
So. I'm really pulling for Cossa, but could this end up being a bad pick? How is Wallstedt doing? Also, looking at what's left of the Leddy trade to St. Louis, are we going to regret him trading that 2nd round pick (Raty.) I'm not going all John Scott here and questioning the Yzerplan, but Cossa hasn't looked good. Should we be scared?
