....he sucks. Manny should have gotten the job. He interviewed for it and the chose Ozzie instead. Manny is currently doing college games on FSD.

why would he be out if it weren't for poor play? Plenty of other bottom sixers that would normally and usually get sat out for a returning player... Usually Franzen dtsys in. I hope this is a long benching....

...as folks have stated, let the healing begin! (although I never turned on him like some.) This is the first step in #91 getting put up next to #5 where it belongs! No matter what the argument ,the Red Wings of the 90's and early 00's are not the winners they were without Lids or Feds! They both belong in the rafters. ...anyhow, having Feds, and Igor there on the ice will be awesome! Is Fetisov planning on playing? All that leaves is coaxing Kozlov there and we will be set, because you ALL know Vladdy will make an appearance on the ice in some shape or form!

...Hatcher and Modano? Bad signings? Those were awesome signings, especially Hatcher. It's not Holland's fault that they both had season long injuries and just couldn't recover for the playoffs. If it weren't for the lockout and eventual salary cap in 2005, Hatcher would have finish his contract here. It was just the rotten luck of injuries that plagued those two signings, not that they were bad signings at all. If Hull and Robitaille would have had injuries similar, would they had been bad signings too? Bad signings were Cleary, Sammy (although he too had a season long injury, but has yet to prove good this season) and like my opinion or not, Franzen was a bad signing, not for the cap hit, but for the term. He has done nothing but get worse and worse since. Sure he may put up 20 goals or so, but with the potential he was signed for, he has been an utter disappointment...looking back, Holland probably wished he had signed him for more cap hit, FAR less years... Even the Bertuzzi signing wasn't as bad because of injury, but really, he was injured when we traded for him and really has never been healthy, so ya, each time we signed him was a bad move IMO.

It's all ok, next off season Sammy, Bert and Cleary will all be gone since their contracts are up... I truly hope so. Of course I hoped that Sammy could have been able to get bought out this year. Which considering that he couldn't is a good thing...why? So Holland can buyout Franzen next off season! Wish list for subtractions next summer: Bert, Sammy and Cleary leave and Franzen gets the bouyout...THEN maybe Holland can get that "OTHER" type of vet that we have been able to rely upon in the past...

Could this be the youngest player that Holland has signed to a contract? I know its just an ELC, but he was just drafted in June and already has a pro contract waiting for him...This kid is the real McCoy and is really on the fast track to the NHL. This could be the first player that makes the Wings club before he "over-ripens" in the Rapids. I am ever so excited to see him in Detroit before he hits 20!

Sammy and Helmer would not be ideal... Sammy won;t be here after this season and well, unfortunately Helm seems to have hung his skates up too...IMO. I like Wild Thing in reference to Battlin' Bob Probert...or just Probie.

So long as they are on this team, Cleary and Quincey will be my whipping boys...along wih the occasional jab at Franzen. Bertuzzi and Sammy won't be healthy enough, long enough to become a whipping boy... BTW, Helm is done. Just my opinion...

Mistake.... Mrazek needs playing time instead of riding the pine...Coreau is the prototypical backup at this juncture...

I was looking forward to watching Ouellet, Sproul and Jarnkrok....DAMN! ...was at work for last game, it was on the TV there, but only got a chance to see about 5 mins. I did see my boy Danny Diesel's goal though! Awesome! This guy will be here 20 years, mark my words! No way he leaves on his own or the Ilitch family trades him...

So, it's obvious the same company is designing these things...they should be fired...actually the person or committee that selected the ones to be used should be fired...Detroit City Council could have made a better decision than these! Both the US and Canada jersey's are atrocious...epic, epic fail.

Flip wasn't all that bad... he was good enough to keep in 08' when Columbus wanted him for Fedorov's return, who, in my mind, would have been the X-Factor in 2009 for us to repeat instead of losing in 7 games... I picked Alfie, I think when Babcock assembles to line of Alfie, Z and Franzen that it is going to be great. Franzen just may top 30 goals this season playing with Z and Alfie...
