Strange that White is scratched...team was playing good last couple. Glad that Smith is in, but Quincey-Garbage should be the one scratched. I do agree on keeping Lashoff in though. I would even prefer Kindl over Quincey crappy ass. I think my gramma can play better than him... Huskins has been better than both Kindl and Q....again, time to question Babs.

Ericsson-Kronwall Smith-Murray (Scudari) Dekeyser-Lashoff Sproul-Ouellet Looks better to me...

I would give them a 2nd and a prospect, but not our 1st. I guess if Babs wanted to reunite the Dats-Z-Brunner line and make Weiss the 2nd line center with Fil and Tatar on his wings, that would make sense, not unless Helm is going to be out for the rest of the season....yikes I do not mind the rebuild, but ya, it would waste Dats for sure! If we go into a rebuild mode, he most definitely leaves us after next year, he doesn't want to go through a rebuild at his age. Zetterberg is still here for a while, but still a waste of 3 seasons. I don't think dumping Franzine and Filppula and Quincey and Kindl means a rebuild, because we already have players in place that can replace their output....Fil would be the only one missed, but he would also bring back the most in return... Hey, if all Florida wants is a draft pick and prospect for Weiss, offer them Franzine and call it a trade!

He'll get a 1 year around $2M....why? Because Holland will tell the agent "lets see what he does over an 82 game season and then we'll talk long term..." Brunner has never played more than a 50 game season and it would be a big gamble to reward someone a large contract based on playing 48 games in the NHL...I know it's been done, and it just may happen, but I think they will agree on a raise for a year, then if he does net 40+ goals, go from there... then again, you can flip the coin and Holland may want to give him a contract for about 4 years at a modest raise of around $3M-$4M, then if Brunner does put up 40 goals or more, he has him for a nice discount....

Tradable assets: Filppula, Franzine, Quincey, Kindl, Cleary, Nyquist.... may not get much, but they are tradable. Right about now, I just want as many draft picks this year as possible... Honestly though, I don't expect Holland to do anything, and he damn well better not trade out 1st round pick for a hunk of s*** lower level player...what a dumb ass ******* move that was Holland! ...and Ericsson was a 9th round, 291st overall pick...what was Kindl again? Oh ya, 1st round 19th overall. Kindl is nothing more than #7 defenseman here, never will be anything more than that. It says something that with all the injuries over the last three years, Kindl could not solidify a position and even this year he cannot take a top 6 spot on a permanent basis, yet in comes Lashoff and has played in more games than Kindl has... I would be surprised if Kindl is Red Wing by next season...then again I wouldn't be surprised if he is. That is just Kenny.

Of course that answer is Hell NO! He was drafted in the 1st round, 19th overallm, 8 years ago. He has had ample opportunity to crack the top 6 for awhile now, even with all the injuries he still cannot solidfy a top 6 spot. He is pretty much a bust here, except for being a solid #7 guy who can come in for relief or injury replacement. I can wish he could garner a 3rd rounder, but I think you were right he find his way out of Detroit via the wiaver wire, but just maybe he can be sent away with someone else in a package...but something tells me he won't.

Easy now DSM....I agree with you, but I disagree with him also on Dekeyser playing in GR. If he signs with Detroit it will be for the NHL. There is nothing saying that if he struggles he cannot go to the AHL for more experience, I do believe that he has so many years of waiver free movement after his first pro contract signing... He can sign here. be placed in the big club for the remainder of the season and playoffs (if we get there) and then he will have a spot a the club next season unless he struggles. If we are keeping Quincey then Dekeyser still had a spot with Cola being #7 along with Huskins. Then in the off season, a decision on Huskins has to be made, but I think Holland would stick with the younger guys... Kronwall - Ericsson Smith - Quincey Dekeyser - Lashoff Cola ...of course I still prefer to trade Quincey for a pick and get a UFA top defender over the summer. But if Holland gets Dekeyser then I can get a little excited about the D even if Quincey stays. I like what that looks like on paper, as long as Quincey picks it up. I's still rather have Murray, but if we are going with our kids and letting them grow together, lets do it 100% full throttle!

Q needs to get WAY better to be worth that 1st rounder....like maybe leading the league in points better...

That is just it with Dekeyser, he has had interest from Toronto, Tampa and Detroit to name a few...this will be much like the Justin Schultz deal. I am sure Danny would rather go somewhere he is going to step in to the NHL, not the AHL. That is ok though, if Kindl is dealt or waived and Ian White leaves as a UFA, then there is room for Dekeyser. Even with Quincey hanging around, you just have to let Huskins go... Kronwall - UFA Smith - Ericsson Quincey - Dekeyser/Lashoff ...of course all of this opens up if Quincey gets packaged... I know Danny prefers Detroit over any other team but of course he would rather go somewhere he is going to play NHL minutes... edit: If for some reason, Holland likes his team going forward and only adds Dekeyser then there is plenty of room!
