Howard played very well today...still has rebound issues though. Drives me crazy! Todays game was not his fault what-so-ever, despite him giving up juicy rebounds all night. If it weren't for him, we had been blown out....yet, if it weren't for Mike Babcock, we had won.

Abby does not suck, he just isn't top 6. He has his 4th line role and he does a great job at it. I am baffled at Babcock and want to know what he is drinking because he needs to be locked up for CUI. It will not hurt to try Tatar with Datsyuk for a couple of games....WTF?!?! I am going to quote myself from earlier: Despite the great play by Jimmy, he still seems to have trouble with the rebound...it's gonna kill us sooner or later! Datsyuk is being wasted with those linemates....Babcock refuses to change it. Fire him. Franzia is Franzia...useless crap. He brings down Z and Brunner nearly as much as Cleary brings down Dats.

In all honesty, as much as I would love a couple of those names here, Holland has proven he is not interested in those types of players because he still believe Franzina circa 2008 is going to come back....and he still thinks Bert is a power forward when healthy... We already had Knuble in the pre-season, could have had Jagr a couple of times already and he already passed on Stewart through the waiver wire...I'd take Morrow for the bottom six with Helm and Tootoo though...but Holland wouldn't. I like our kids, Bert and Sammy need to be bought out. Trade Franzina for a draft pick and then try to add another forward via UFA Tatar - Dastyuk - Filppula Brunner - Zetterberg - Nyquist Morrow - Helm - Tootoo Abby - Emmerton - Andersson Eaves/Miller I think that putting Tatar with Dats and putting Nyquist as another setup guy with Z and Brunner would be heads and tails better than what we have now. Putting someone like Morrow on with Helm and Tootoo would make that 3rd line a ***** to play against and they can also get about 30 goals between them... I would love Perry here, but I don't even think Morrow will happen, let alone Perry. I think we will be stuck with Franzia, Bert and Sammy next year as well...

Won't happen....with Detroit and Toronto joining the same division next season, this is the same situation as Columbus refusing to deal with Detroit... Besides, our guys are gelling right now, pretty well. Add Danny Dekeyser and our D will rock into next season...I still don't like Q, but that's me, he is at least playing pretty solid right now, I can say the same for Kindl. I know Cola is on the roster next season but put him on waivers after training camp... Kronwall - Ericsson Quincey - Smith Dekeyser - Lashoff Kindl (Huskins for depth)

if its true what Babcock said, then he should be fired....flat out fired. Cleary and Abby playing like shiit while Tatar is scoring from a 3rd line role and he hasn't even considered it? Won't consider it? So, he refuses to experiment to better his team? That sounds like grounds for termination to me. Calling Larionov, Calling Larionov, you have a telephone call at the front desk.... I like Abby, he could possibly stay there with Dats and Tatar, but having him and Cleary there makes no sense at all... Is Cleary Babs son-in-law or something? *** lover? I'm just saying...

Green was drafted by Washington with the draft pick we gave them....technically he was part of the deal, but not really when the trade was made....

regarding the loser point....I would accept the rule IF the teams made it to a shootout, then the loser can have a point, but if a team loses in OT, there should be no point.... just to be clear, I am not for the loser point at all, or the shootout, but if there has to be a loser point it should only be awarded if you earned your way to the shootout...

If Babcock would put together the correct lines, we wouldn't be debating the Kane shootout (lack of) move(ing.)

Ironic that a defense which dominated this game are the ones at fault (Ericsson, then Kronwall) to help Chicago extend the streak... Lets hope for the 2 points....

The sad thing about out offense is, it won't get any better when healthy....Filppula yes, but Sammy and Bert wouldn't be the difference maker here... I like how the D is shaping up and gelling together. I am not sold on Q and Kindl yet, but the more they play, the more I notice better things out of them...too bad Franzine & Cleary are still digressing....I am not so sure that D is our number one priority to fix right anymore...if we could fine a REAL player to play with Datsyuk and a better player to flank Z and Brunner, we may be in nice shape....who though? Why not just give Tatar the try with Datsyuk? Huh? It isn't going to hurt...Cleary isn't a bad 3rd/4th liner, but he is horrid anywhere else....

So, so far pretty entertaining despite the shot discrepancy... A few things that have annoyed me: Crowd at the Joe acting like uninformed jackasses? Yes...Boo Hossa? Uh, he wanted to stay here, he said he'd take a discount, your GM chose Franzen over him...no need to boo, but go ahead, entertain yourelf while looking like baffoons... Uh, Jimmy is making some nice stops but he STILL CANNOT CONTROL A REBOUND! It's gonna bite him soon! If I were Dastyuk, I would leave now. I like Abby, but he doesn't belong on that line. Cleary doesn't belong period. Datsyuk has nobody to help him on that line....Do something about it Babcock. Only thing I have to say about Franzine is he needs to bury that shot from the Brunner pass. He needs to be aggressive on the puck and he wasn't. He seems to be playing in his lazy mode today... We are lucky we aren't losing yet....let's hope for a bit of puck luck soon!

Ok, lets go with some hypothetic situation here. With the rumblings of Ian White on the block (which is just that rumblings) let's say Holland has a package of: Filppula White Kindl ...what type of player would you expect to see in return for something like that...even spice it up by throwing a prospect in there if you have to. All pending FA's, so you may not get a great player in return, but realistically, what could you see coming back?

Everytime Nyquist is here, Babcock plays him in the bottom 6....much like he is doing with Tatar...I think he should have his shot in the top6 like Brunner has been given, if he still has the same results as he has had in the past, then maybe it's time to move forward without him...but I think given top 6 minutes consistently, he will shine....as would Tatar if Babcock would put him there... Filppula - Datsyuk - Tatar Nyquist - Zetterberg - Brunner Role with it and lets see what plays out!
