I stand by what I said in the above post earlier in the spring, with the exception of maybe trying to get a better backup here to challenge Jimmy. He has no one to challenge him, his job is secure, he is comfortable. He needs to be pushed. Not many quality goalies out there that are sub $1M goalies....I think Vokoun and Nabokov will get more than that...we may be stuck with MacDonald.

Ya, well if we are talking actual salaries and NOT cap hit, then Franzen is at $5.25M and Hudler was $3M...so, Hossa at $7.9M or Franzen/Hudler at $8.25M....Holland still sucks... Edit: I'd rather have Hossa signed here thru 2021 than Franzen thru 2020. -

Hossa cost $5,275,000 towards the Cap.... Franzen & Hudler cost $6,829,545 towards the Cap... Looks to me like Chicago made out on that one....Holland sucks. -

YY BETFANGUS....s*** HIT THE FUN.......I love it! anyhow, I guess I should have saved all my Holland and Franzen bashing for now instead of at the trade deadline...but still doesn't matter, I was right then and now a ton of you are right now... I stand by my words...Holland is NOT the best GM in the league...he proves it year after year. Hand down, Hossa should have been re-signed and Franzen let go. -

All you have to do is look at my plus/minus stats. It was nearly +300 on the deadline, it's below +190 now. That pretty much sums up the Holland slappies... Hey all the "In Kenny We Trust" guys...where is playoff Franzen? -

Watch the GWG again, look who leaves the man alone in front of the net....with bonehead plays like that, he needs to retire. GWG totally Lidstrom's fault. He hasn't even been human since his injury, he has been horrible. Maybe he hasn't healed all the way, but his injury was far away from his head and he has been making some bad plays...not thinking. Hang em up Nick, it's been fun... -

Negg....tee hee! I don't understand the hate for Hossa...Both he and Franzen have 21 points in the playoffs SINCE Holland chose Franzen over Hossa...and Hossa has far outscored Franzen in the regular season... -

Unfortunately that kicked in the ass came only in the form of Kyle Quincey...dunno what the asking prices were around the NHL, but I think a first round draft pick could have gone a bit further...heck, I would have rather just given Yzerman the draft pick for Downie and left Quincey alone... The kick that Holland was supposed to deliver at the deadline, missed. It was more of a swoosh past their heads...instead of a kick in the ass, it was a tickle.

Wow, I am loving this "love" for the Mule...I would have hated to see what would have happened if I started a thread like this. I maintain that if Mule decides to play this way the next two games, he is trade fodder at the draft. At this point I don't even think he could get us Morrow...have to throw in Emmerton...

If Lids continues this downward trend, he should no doubt (gulp) have to retire this summer....especially making some silly mistakes as he has been doing...
