In all honesty, I cannot stand that immediately after a goal, you get the goal horn, then it is announced, "That goal was brought to you by DTE Energy!" Then when they announce the goal scorer, they don't say "Detroit Goal scored by..." they say "DTE Energy Microwave Goal scored by..." This s*** pisses me off to no extent!

Exactly! A lot of people's opinions have a certain amount of substance behind it, but certain user who see something, ANYTHING that paints a negative picture about ANYTHING Red Wings, then they neg you and hide without saying why... All last night, it wasn't like I was saying "Wings Suck" "s***ty Team" "Never Win Again" I was at least saying things and trying to explain why, yet there were still negs flying all over the place even though at the time, they were playing like s***. I think maybe once, I said this team is horrendous...and it was probably after the two quick PP goals against, so I was just so pissed about their special teams and the fact that the PROBLEM WAS NOT ADDRESSED...AT ALL. I have always said, neg if you want to, I don't care, but at least be man enough to debate why your opinion differs... and that my friends is the Juck ******* Pott!

No, I am a realist...Glad they won, but seriously it was the frickin Hurricanes, if this helps turn their confidence around then that is great, but this comeback does not happen against the Blues or Hawks or Nucks...or most other playoff bound teams. Not being negative really, but the power play and penalty kill will be the death of this team in the playoffs. Be real...and Holland FAILED to address this at the deadline. That is why I hold Holland responsible for it. Even when the team was #1, their PP and PK were one of the worst, they are going to need those in the playoffs and it was not addressed. This exactly! This is why I get mad when someone neg's me or anyone else. Not because of the neg, but because they never care to debate why...

Same could have been said about Abdelkader and Helm in 2008. They jumped over many people to make their NHL debut's. Not saying you are at all wrong, but if Sheahan is the better player, then he will get the call-up. Andersson and Brunnstrom are not going to be on Detroit permanently EVER, they will be career Griffins unless they go elsewhere.

Looking ahead to the off season. Let's just say for shig's and gittles, Holland trades is able to acquire Suter, Parise and Semin. Lidstrom re-tires, Hudler walks, Holmstrom re-tires and he re-signs Helm and Abby and Quincey to long term deals. Your roster may look something like this: Franzen Datsyuk Semin Filpplua Zetterberg Parise Mursak Helm Bertuzzi Eaves Abby Miller Suter White Kronwall Quincey Smith Ericsson fast forward to 2013 and if Weber comes knocking, just replace White with Weber or re-sign White and ditch Ericsson if he hasn't gotten any better... I like it. *SMACK!* Now I wake up from that dream, but that would for sure be a better roster than they have now...and it would be doable. edit: Also you'll notice Cleary is gone...traded for a pick. If not, then Make Mursak the 13th FWD and put Cleary on the third line...Kindl is 7th D of course, unless Dekeyser gets signed and gets that nod.

All the more important to sign Suter this off season...that would put Detroit in the front running for Weber if you becomes a UFA. But if Lids retires...then if Holland was able to land Suter, Parise AND Semin this team would be ten times better without Franzen. edit: A million times better I should say
