Rumor has it Buffalo wants a 1st and a prospect for Sam Reinhart. Does the 23rd overall plus prospect get it done? I'm not sure which prospect we'd have to part with though.

Buffalo just acquired Robert Hagg, 14th OA pick tonight and a 2023 2nd round pick from Philly for Ristoleinen. Darth Yzerman will use the force today to get more assets. I'm just waiting.

I think they determine BPA as to who is still left on there board in order of who they like. Maybe they have Edvinsson listed, on their board, higher than Walstedt, in that case, BPA to them, will be Edvinsson. Of course, I could be way off on this!

This was as great move no matter what. I'd even let him wear #39. I am excited to see if there are more fleecing's on the horizon! I mean Philly gave away Ghost and 2 picks for futures just to clear up cap space. You would think that Tampa, Vegas, Toronto and the like would be doing much of the same. If Tampa wants to give a couple of picks, surely I'd welcome Tyler Johnson. Honestly 3 more years is not that bad. Sure he doesn't fit into the rebuild timeline, but he makes this team better now, for the kids, which is what Yzerman eluded to yesterday. Plus, who knows where we'll be in 3 years? We might need a couple 33-35 year old vets to solidify a Cup run. At this point, with all the great things Yzerman has done, I trust him 100% with whatever deal he makes. There has to be more deals out there that we can make for assets.

Honestly for awhile now, I have been hoping for Hughes or Edvinsson because of our lack of LHD in the system, but since Yzerman said he'll be taking BPA and not per need, it's all fricking up in the air! I really don't know too much about any of these players, so I am not sure who the BPA will be at 6. I am sure it won't be Power or Beniers there, so outside of that, I am good with whomever Yzerman picks, even if it is a G.

Looking at Carolina's roster, even though they are both UFA at the moment, but Bernier and Reimer are together again.

So, now that we know who we are losing, barring any trades to come after 3pm tomorrow, here's what I'd like. re-sign: All RFA's except the ones that are leaving (Djoos and Brome.) Maybe, just maybe let Svech walk. Bobby Ryan, Glenny and Staal sign: Koekkoek, Ullmark or Mrazek. trade: 4th round pick for Tyler Johnson and Hugo Alnefelt Trade Bertuzzi to the highest bidder. If no serious bidders, then keep him.

I wonder if they'll re-sign Staal to a year. With Djoos splitting and Cholowski gone, they are short one LHD, even with Leddy Leddy - Seider DD - Hronek Staal - Stecher Lindstrom ...although I'd rather see KoekKoek in that spot. I thinking any of the bigger name UFA's won't be interested in coming here. Even if we signed Koekkoek, I still think they'll give Staal a contract just because he was a very solid player last season and would do wonders for development.

Ok, here's a scenario. With that D already in front of Cholowski, he will have to be waived when he doesn't make the team, then Detroit just picks him right back up!

something has to be up. In two hours we learned 29 picks, in the last hour and a half there has been nothing on Detroit. Strange things are afoot at the circle K!

I agree, that is why there HAS to be something happening. Of all 30 teams exposed, our players available (Stecher included) had to be the least desirable to Seattle. I don't get why our player would be so secretive that he hasn't been named yet. There has to be a trade happening. Of all the teams revealed, if we have to wait this long to hear that Svech (example) is gone, I will be VERY angry.
