2/10 GDT : Ducks 1 at Red Wings 2 (SO)

Nope. According to most of you, he is the most clutch player in the NHL, so until he starts playing like it and actually puts in some "clutch" goals when the team needs them, then no I am not. Besides beating a dead horse means to keep saying something everyone knows is true. So I guess you think it is true too?

2/10 GDT : Ducks 1 at Red Wings 2 (SO)

All you folks saying this was the best game you've watched or been too must not have watched the same game I did. Most of our players were invisible, especially Franzen who is supposed to be our clutch scorer. I still think we need an experienced back up for the playoffs, but if it wasn't for Joey playing a great game, the Ducks would've slaughter the Wings tonight. Perry may be a ******, but I would trade Franzen for him today. Too bad he isn't worth the spit of Perry, so Anaheim would laugh at that trade proposal!

I will say Franzen is absolutely abysmal! Clutch? Really? GWG? Really? When? He is crap. A we have a ton more years of his garbage!

Will there be an impact trade by the wings?

Selanne, Morrow & Nabokov. Book the Parade... Will the trades happen? Doubt it. But it would be nice!

    Red Wings Alumni lineup

Fedorov needs to come home. He needs to see that 99.9999% of the fans here still love him and would LOVE to see the #91 grace the Winged Wheel again! Ya, it may not be for the REAL Wings, but still. This is a shot to get back in the mix in some form and maybe, just maybe, get back to the hearts of ALL of the fans and get his number hung up next to Lidstrom's eventual banner. He knows it, the Wings know it, we all know it...he needs to be here and he could come along with Larionov and Kozlov.

What Ken Holland should do at the deadline

I would like to see Selanne here. He did say that he and Val have good chemistry and the way he said lets put it that way leads me to believe the answer would be yes if he would like to Finnish (pun intended) the season on Val's team and Detroit came calling. Not unless Val is going to be traded to Anaheim in a package deal for Perry or Ryan....Hmmmmmm.....

Ian Laperriere...who promptly got his ass kicked by Aaron Downey for doing it...memories...ahhh.

What the F has gotten into these wings?

    ... except a Road Game.

Will there be an impact trade by the wings?

Basically, I am all for a trade that brings someone in that helps this team get over it's road woes. They aren't going to win out the rest of the games played at home and they aren't gonna win all their home playoff games. They are going to need to win on the road if they want the Cup. This team is inept on the road, only getting points recently by winning or losing a shootout. Sure they won 2 games over the western trip, but they were shootout wins. I know it's two points, but its a crappy way to get them, plus they were that close to losing all the games...

Nah, he only played 4 games with us, you can have him. We'll take Wregget, you can have Frycer. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have Olczyk on your team so one of our guys can jam him through the boards! That would be nice....Fedorov - Larionov - Kozlov would even be better! Yzerman, Draper, Maltby, Fedorov, Larionov, Kozlov, Rafalski, Shanahan, Chelios, Ciccarelli, McCarty, Lapointe...I could go on and on!

    Anyone Ever Notice This?

Are you talking about the Yzerman and Pronger incident? If so you do know that Yzerman undercut Pronger and intentionally hurt Pronger right? At least that is what our buddy cprice says...anyhow... If there was an incident that involved Pronger and Lidstrom then I apologize, but that incident has slipped out of my head (as have many things as I age.)

Will there be an impact trade by the wings?

I still want to see Morrow & Nabokov here for the playoffs...THEN sign Parise and Suter in the offseason. I know it will cost us roster player to get Morrow, but I am not too concerned about that since it won't cost us anyone who is above Hudler on the pecking order. If we could somehow acquire him without losing a roster player then great. That is my hope, but like most are saying, Holland is only gonna get someone if it helps the team. I hope he does.

Will there be an impact trade by the wings?

They are...well except a couple. He is arguably better than Rafalski, plus plays better defense. Ya, hell, our bottom six is what is keeping this team ahead of everyone. It certainly ain't Franzen. He IS playing pretty bad sometimes. I wouldn't mind losing him and Kindl at the deadline. I agree. If yo need a side story to be motivated to win the Cup, then you really aren't that motivated. Problem is, the media attaches stories to teams (in all sports) that are making a Championship run and it usually doesn't get blown up until they have won. I like happy endings and feel good stories, but I prefer the team just be motivated to win it every single year! Hey here is a nice fell-good story that doesn't need a player added to the roster who hasn't won. When the Wings win the Cup or get to the Cup Final, they can use Brad McCrimmon as motivation or Salei or Liv or maybe even Bob Probert. They can win it for their families! That will make a great feel-good fuzzy story if the win, but you aren't gonna hear anything about it if they don't. Just win...period. Give 110% every night, every shift, every second. That's all I ask. Yes I am talking to you Franzen. I do agree that there are some player(s) on this team that mail it in from time to time....

How WC tickets will be sold

The tix should be open to ALL hockey fans. Just block off the exact same amount for Wings fans and Leafs fans, then the rest are open to all. 36,000 for Wings all in one part of the Stadium, 36,000 for Leafs in a different part of the Stadium and 38,000 for general NHL fans who want to attend. When you order, you are asked which team or neither? Then you are given the choice of certain sections for that team only. That way we have a side with Wings fans and side with Leafs fans, then the ends are filled with random fans. (certainly of which can be Wings and Leafs fans.) Imagine the view from the blimp with all Red on one side of the field and all Blue on the other?

How WC tickets will be sold

So....what you are saying is that Leafs fans are more well-to-do than Red Wings fans? Just because there will be a mark-up doesn't mean Leafs fans are the only ones who can afford it...I would say 99.999999999% of Wings fans do not live in the City and as a matter of fact, a ton of them live in Oakland County which is one of the wealthiest counties in the Nation....

    Operation Dumbo Drop.

Makes no sense to have very little tickets available if you are not a season ticket holder. There are what 21,000 seats in the Joe? Even if they were all filled by season ticket holders, that still leave about 90,000 tickets available. If you maybe count the season ticket holders from Toronto that would knock about 25,000 more off, leaving approx. 65,000. IF you save half of those for Toronto fans that still leaves us 32,500 tickets...I just don't understand why someone would report that it will be hard to get tickets unless you are a season ticket holder...

    Your All-Favorites Red Wing Team?

I did say pound for pound, so yes LaPointe was tougher than Primeau. He was #3 overall and it was a huge mistake of a pick. Especially with all the talent that was drafted that year, but hey, the draft is a gamble.

Not without Commodore in. Oh wait, Kindl will play tough......

Who Could be Dealt at the Deadline?

Morrow is a solid 3rd liner as well. Sure they can wait for Hudler in July, but at least they have exclusive bargaining rights up until then if they acquired him. And he has proven to be a top 6 forward, possibly top 3 on a different team. So Dallas would get a legit top 6 forward, two young bottom 6 players with tons of potential and they lose a bottom 6 maybe 2nd line forward. I am not down playing Morrow, because he will be sought after and could put a team over that edge, but he is not going to break our top 3 and maybe he'll take Hudler's spot on the 2nd line. So trade a top6 for a top 6 and 2 kids with tons of potential. Emmerton is a legit NHL'r.

    What to do about goaltending

What to do...What to do....Trade for Nabokov right F'ing now! Overspend no, send Conklin back along with some picks or a lower prospect. Jimmy may not get injured again this season, but if he does, we have NO chance with Conklin and MacDonald. Which duo looks better? Howard/Conklin? Howard/MacDonald? Conklin/MacDonald? Howard/Nabokov? and if there is an injury Nabokov/MacDonald.
