Wow, I guess saying that we would have the best D in the NHL and being positive about getting Suter or Weber, or suggesting that if Stuart wants to go back to So.Cal then we should trade him before he walks for nothing is definitely -5 worthy. Sometimes I wonder about some people... Maybe I should say, "When/if Lids retires our defense will suck, screw Stuart let him walk for nothing, he sucks and nah, there is no chance in hell we land Suter or Weber so f*** being positive about it!" Now that post would warrant a -50 if I wrote it that way, but I guess that is what I really meant when I said positive things about Stuart and getting Suter/Weber and winning Stanley Cups. And to you above, if Lidstrom stays, I don't think Holland will go after Suter or Weber. I hope to be wrong, tho.

Would the neg bandits kindly explain to me what about this post warranted a -2? You wouldn't want Suter or Weber or Penner or 2 more Stanley Cups? Would you rather lose Stuart for nothing? So it wouldn't be a good idea to trade him before he leaves or sign/trade him if his heart is in LA? Do you hate Stuart so much that the mere idea of someone mentioned re-sign him makes you sick? Don't just neg someone, be a man and step up and explain the reason you disagree, instead of hiding...

Well, I would hope that if he does want to move closer to home next year he does one of two things, A. Tells the Wings early enough of his decision so they can trade him to LA at the deadline for Penner or 2. HE lets them know he wants to finish the year out with the Wings and THEN go home, so after the season he re-signs a sign and trade contract with the Wings that the Kings like and gets's traded to the Kings for Penner (who also does a sign/trade.) Of course there is always option C. I'd like to see him re-sign here and when/if Lidstrom retires and Holland gets Suter (or Weber via deadline trade(yes I am thinking positive)) he will still be part of the NHL's best defensive corps and help bring one or two more Cups here.... (positive thinking feels good this morning!)

Ya, you'll find out that if for some reason you don't like a Red Wing, you'll get a neg and you'll also be told you aren't a true fan. The year Hudler held out, I amassed a -101 by saying he is horrible and is not worth the money he wants. Seems it took 3 years for him to prove that he isn't worth the money, and most if not 95% of the users on here now agree that he isn't and would welcome a trade. But there are still folks out there that will neg you if you don't like someone. Honestly though, you probably get negged because you just say stuff like "Conklin Sucks." Instead maybe you should give some argument to why you think he is bad, give some insight, maybe there is something you know that folks here don't know. You probably will still get negged by the slappies, but most users won't. Anyhow, why the heck is Commodore not playing again? If e was gonna be a healthy scratch most nights, they could've saved the $1M and just brought up Exleby or Janik...

Well let's hope Franzen becomes that 40-50 goal scorer and proves me (and a few others) wrong. He was on a great pace last year until he petered out after that Ottawa game. So even tough he has picked it up the last couple, we have to see if he can maintain it all season and the playoffs... Nice to see he turned it around for now. We just some others to step it up too! Lids and Franz cannot not be our only goal scorers. (although if Lids keeps this up, he will be a shoe in for #8)

averaging 1.75 goals per game, right now that is not only lacking a significant scoring threat on any line, but it also show that at the moment our "depth" in pretty shallow. As a matter of fact I would say they aren't even playing deep enough to be in the kiddie pool. I do agree though that we don't have the right assets to acquire one, let alone two legit threats, so it is going to have to come from within. I only hope that goals for average goes up soon.

I agree with this, depth is good, but I think Detroit needs to acquire one if not two LEGIT 40-50 goal threats. Maybe they won't score 50, but they need to be a threat to score every night. Franzen is just no longer that threat. Sad to say, neither is Zetterberg. I sure wish they were, but realty says that they are not...

Franzen is no longer a legit threat. Teams have figure him out. All they need to do is play him rough and he turns into a ballerina. Sure he has 5 goals in 12 games and over an 82 game schedule that is 34, but he won't play 82 games, he is too fragile. I cannot tell you how disappointing Franzen has-been (and yes I meant HAS-BEEN) because that is what he is, he peaked in 2008 and 2009 and has been on a downward spiral the last two years. Sad thing is, he has very little trade value, nobody is going to take that Go awful long contract and we are stuck with it hitting us for a cap hit of $3.9M until he is 40. He is making over $5.5M in salary right now as well last year and is nowhere near earning it. As far as I am concerned he and Hudler are both a waste of salary. Still think they should have re-signed Hossa instead, but at the time I can see why they chose Franzen. Too bad they didn't have a crystal ball too see that after he signed that huge deal he would tank it... Let's hope Kronwall doesn't do the same...

Too bad Bertuzzi seems to have lost a step or 60, but I am glad Hudler won't be in. Too bad that none of the "kids" are coming up, does that mean Brunnstrom AND Emmerton are in too? I kinda lost track of the extra players.... Read the article but here is the lineup mLive said they practiced with: Cleary-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-Franzen Abdelkader-Eaves Miller-Emmerton-Brunnstrom The third line is missing a player....where is Filppula? perhaps a call up is forth coming? Still need Cleary OFF that first line!

Easy whiskey. A couple of lines are looking good, but our most of our players that are paid to score are still missing...Franzen, Hudler in particular...but I am glad they are playing better! There ya go! A 360 would put them right back where they were... Can't say this loud enough! Holland, we need a SNIPER or TWO! At this point thus far, Holmstrom has been his best winger, may as well re-sign him for another couple of seasons if Holland cannot get a PURE SNIPER.

That is one of those phantom penalty's that the ref said,I think it happened so I best call it just in case, so I don't like stupid by missing it...well guess what, you looked stupid....
