bulls*** bulls*** bulls***.... Hudler was horrible. Still proudof them to make it 7, but they didn't show up tonight.
-
20 mins to go.... Will it be over or will we be in Vancouver on Sunday? I predict another huge period by Helm and Kronwall. Maybe Eaves with the winner! Lets Go Wings! No Matter What you showed awesome heart coming back from 3-0!
-
True, True, but WIngs were up 3-0 and then San Jose controlled the rest of the game and came back and tied it, so the game winner actually seemed like a comeback win, but ya, you are right... It just seemed like a comeback....
-
Haven't you learned anything? They were losing in every game that they won this series, geez, lets save this type of post until about 1:00 left in the third if they haven't gotten better... ...I am a bit upset Modano isn't in, but he didn't bring much more that Draper does, I believe Draper is a faster skater and better defensively though, so.... ...again, split up ZDH, it hasn't work all series, why bring it back in game 7? Lids last game? Uh...he is a Norris Candidate and he has been one of our best players all playoff, no reason to believe he won't be back...
-
So where are the Wings that played the last few games? Babcock has these stupid lines together, get rid of ZDH, it upsets the rest of the lines..... ...any word on Bertuzzi?
-
Is Clowe still a game time decision?
-
So what does an Orca have to do with the Canucks? Just because you may see some whales in the ocean? We got fish in the Detroit River, but I don't see people carrying around Carp Stuffies...

1. Nick Lidstrom is playing some of his best playoff hockey 1a. Jimmy Howard 2. The Likes of Lidstrom, Draper and Holmstrom are 4 time Stanley Cup Champs and WILL NOT bow out without giving 200% 3. The Sharks don't seem to have an answer for Helm 4. Jiri Hudler is NOT playing ( sorry had to sneak that one in!) 5. Mike Modano has something to prove and will give his all 6. Franzen is sitting, he is no good to us at 20% 7. We have the best coach in the NHL 8. No Ryan Clowe 9. Joe Thornton, he embarrassed himself, his team and the league by what he did, the Dive Team is now on the Radar of the NHL! 10. Pavel Datsyuk is tied for second in scoring with Ryan Clowe, who did I mention, is OUT. And with Kesler idle, Pav more than likely will be leading the league after game 7. 11. Henrik gets better and better every game he plays. 12. It appears the Nick Kronwall that we all know and love is back, scoring goals and taking heads off. 13. CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE 14. EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE 15. They are the Detroit Red Wings, it's what they do! They can't win every year, but this team has been the Benchmark of the NHL since 1990-91 and we as fans are privileged to have been a part of this roller coaster ride!

Maybe Thornton should take a car ride with Heatly.....ouch, that was uncalled for...forgive me...
-
******* crybaby goons....Really, Nichol trying to bait someone? Really? Homo Joe shows his true colors again! Such a Fine Canadian Boy! Canada should be ashamed of your antics!
-
f***in Puck Luck!
-
I brought him up, but not in the way you were thinking would happen
-
Did Thornton just hit Datsyuk after the period and then ask the ref, "what the f*** was that?" like he was the one who got hit after the period? I think I am developing a larger dislike for him than Crosby...
-
in reality, what if Roy didn't use an over-sized glove to try to have an advantage, he may have been able to close his hand on the puck and not drop it. Thank Heaven there was no "Intent to Blow the Whistle" on that play, eh?

Not cocky, just stating truths. Notice I didn't say Wings WILL win, unlike the other guy who said WILL LOSE. He could've titled, Some Reasons Wings COULD lose and I don't think he would've gotten so much crap. We all know our defense is suspect, we all know McCrimmon has to go, we all know Lids, Homer and Drapes are old, but to most of us (and the rest of the hockey world) the positives outweigh the negatives. If our D sucked AND Jimmy was playing like s***, then I'd be a little worried. But that isn't the case. Even if the Wings don't win this series or the Cup this year, we ALL know, they will be back and better next year, just like they were every year prior to winning the Cup (sans 1997/98 repeat.) 01? First round loss, 02? Cup....07? Lose to Ducks in semi's, 08? Cup. This team is NOT on the downfall, they are on an upswing, if they don't win it this year, they are a couple of players away from doing so soon, VERY soon! San Jose started to unravel in game 4. They eked out wins in game 1 and 3 in OT, despite outplaying the Wings. Then when they couldn't get the job done in game 4, they resorted to gooning it up a bit, which never works with the Red Wings. Then their Powerplay went flat in game 5, (or did Wings kill get better?) The pressure is on Sharks, they DO NOT want a game 7, not with the Wings experience...

Damn I forgot Jimmy, sorry, I got so carried away with my list, I cut it short so not to be called a Homer! I will fix it!

Sheesh, that seems to be the knock on a lot of players in today's NHL....I am just looking at a pure sniper. Maybe he just hasn't been able to be on a good, err...GREAT team in the playoffs yet... oh come on, Geez, looking at his stats, he's only been in the playoffs twice, once with ATL he had a goal and a asst in 4 games, and then last year with New Jersey where he had 6 points in 5 games, so in 9 total games he has 3 goals and 5 asst. That really doesn't constitute a playoff choker, besides the fact that he hasn't really had a chance to consistently be in the playoffs, PLUS play besides his buddy Pav? I'd take the risk... (but, again, Holland would't take on that long contract, or would he?)
-
This just in, so far our MVP front runners are Howard, Datsyuk & Helm...
-
While we're putting together lines that probably won't happen, but would like to see, here is an idea... Filppula-Datsyuk-Dupuis Franzen-Zetterberg-Talbot Cleary-Helm-Bertuzzi Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Eaves(or Miller) Mursak Lidstrom-Rafalski Stuart-Kronwall Wisniewski-Ericsson Janik (or Smith) Howard Nabokov plus a NEW defensive coach... Hudler and Kindl get traded for Nabokov/draft pick.... Or if New Jersey would trade us Kovalchuk, I'd send them Hudler and Fippula and then Kindl/pick for Nabaokov. Scratch signing Dupius and Talbot.... Kovalchuk-Datsyuk-Franzen Cleary-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Mursak-Helm-Eaves Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Miller Emmerton Lids-Rafalski Stuart-Kronner Wisniewski-Ericsson Janik (or Smith) Howard Nabokov ...and if the Cap goes up by $5M-$6M, both of these teams leave plenty of cap space for call ups or Trade Deadline... (although, $6.6M isnt high for Kovachuk, I don't think Holland would acquire a 15 year contract...even though he would destroy the league playing next to Datsyuk)
-
I am telling you, Chicago dosn't want that LONG ass contract, not sure he'd get traded here since it would help us keep Chicago going down the spiral... anyone know what Chicago would be responsible for and how long if they bought him out?
-
yet, Drew Miller gets in....and Howard is still starting...as is Abdelkader and Rafalski...but I heard the same thing, maybe it was just Chelios he hated...
-
Am I aloud to mention him? Hmmmm.....shhhhh, I will whisper............................ hudler I don't expect many to agree with me, but I hope he's OUT! If Babcock dresses him instead of Modano for Franzen? You get the point. Just let me have my one day of

at possibly seeing the last of "what's his name" in a Detroit uniform....Go back to Russia.
-
Everytime I see it! "I wish it was Kronwall I was lined up against" -Ryan Clowe. Well, Clowe, at least you didn't flop like your "Leader." I wonder what Don Cherry thought about Thornton's "reaction" to a tap on the leg. Cherry gets all googlied-eyed when he talks about how much of a Fine Young Example of a Canadian Hockey Player Thornton is....What do you think Don?
-
Here is a nice thought, if it weren't for two OT stick deflections, Wings could've have won the series already 4-1. Even with the Stick deflections, Sharks still only have 3 wins...
