It was nearly 1 year ago today.... To VICTORY!!!!
-
Just a random thought, how come the word BIG is half the size of the word LITTLE?
-
Red Wings can be extraordinary, and they can win 4 straight, they did it in round one. But they have been ordinary so far in round two. Guys, the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra... Come on guys! From Babcock to the 4th line, lets give it that little extra tonight!
-
...do you mean to tell me that Modano is NOT playing tonight? Ok, Babcock, this is getting ridiculous! Team playing like s***, certain guys don't even look like NHL players (no need to mention names) and there will be NO lineup changes? No substitution to try to spark this team? Nothing? Zero? Uh.....maybe McCrimmon isn't the only problem...
-
I am telling you what though, we gave up a lot of third periods leads and won a lot of games by 1 goal or last minute wins. But, it still hasnt been the same since Smith left. Maybe it has to do with a declining Lidstrom, of course our quality of forward has declined since then as well. We have softer, smaller, less defensive forwards than we did then too... I dunno, but we all agree that McCrimmon has to go...
-
We havent had a good defense since Barry Smith left. Even when we won the Cup in 08, our defense was suspect, but ever since McCrimmmon has been here...... :puke:

WCSF Game 3 GDT: Sharks 4 at Red Wings 3 (OT)

I agree with alot of what you said here. It's not like Howard is the only goalie to overplay a puck. BUT he did get a piece of Boyles shot and IF The Gooch had got everything on that puck, it would've hit Howard. I do agree with you on the point about Hudler and Franzen. Hudler did play good (:puke: , sorry, when I said that it turned my stomach) after December, Franzen played good before December and for one game in Ottawa. Right now neither are good. They aren't a threat and all the Sharks have to worry about is shutting down Datsyuk/Zetterberg and controlling Helm and they win. I'd actually trade Franzen before Hudler ONLY because he would bring a higher draft pick. Package them both for a PURE sniper and I am making the deal. I do hear you and agree with all your points, but I just had to say it's not like Howard is the blame for the team being down 0-3... Enjoy! -

You never cease to amaze me... In your eyes, Hudler never looks bad. Face it, he stinks, and I am so glad everyday more and more people are seeing it. Hopefully Holland see's it now. Trade him for whatever you can get... Howards poor positioning? I am far from a huge Howard fan, but on the goal you speak of, if Setaguchi gets all of the puck Howard makes the save. As a goalie you can't assume the puck is going to come at you at 10 MPH, it's like a batter waiting for a fastball and then swinging way to early on a change up and looking like he is swatting at flies. When you are expecting 100 MPH and get 10 MPH, you kinda look silly, but Howard played that play perfectly from a technical standpoint. On Boyles goal, unless that puck hits Howard, there was no way he was going to stop it. Unless it hits them, NO goalie can stop a wrister above their glove. You can research every goalie ever to play the game and they have ALL given up goals top shelf above the glove. Either it hits them or its in... Besides, Howard DID get a piece of it, so it did hit him but just not enough... Your crush on Hudler and Filppula disturbs us, maybe Holland should trade them to you? I am 99% sure they will both be on the roster next season, and that is way too unfortunate because they are a waster of nearly $6M in cap. -

...tis not the game the small skilled Euro-type player plays. Most of our players of that type, avoid the hit. San Jose can control the game because they know for the most part, they aren't going to get hit in the corners or behind the net... -

Hudler/Filppula are about $5.9M.... Richards is at $7.8M now, he'll get more... Dupuis and Talbot are both UFA's, they are better than most of our team... -

Nope, just like JR said last year, Babcock hates Americans. Who was pulled tonight? Miller, Draper was put in. Modano better be in next game! First change that needs to be made, FIRE McCRIMMMON!!!!!! -

Can we PLEASE stop the small Euro skilled player experiment? How many small Euro-skilled players does San Jose have? What is the series at right now? 'Nuff said! oh btw, Hudler and Filppula are NOT two of the best forwards out there! As someone mentioned in last games thread! There is no defending hardly anyone on this team right now! -

sERIES SEEMS to be over.... anyone cue the price is right losing horn? And guess what? Holland won't make any changes in the off season either, so we will be stuck with this team next year too... -
YZERBOLTS! Guess there is no doubt who the better GM has been this year! Yzerman over Holland....
-
Uh.....ya, but who is gonna clear the front of the net?
-
Easy Vader... I hope beyond all hope that they win both games here.
-
Pascal Dupuis and Maxime Talbot are both UFA's in the off season, and they are both better than Hudler/Filppula. ...just sayin...
-
about the same as switching goalies after your #1 guy has given up 4 goals on 10 shots. Just to try to change the atmosphere, some momentum, a different look. Light a fire under whoever has to sit in Mike's place and maybe turn their play around. Motivate others to pick it up or they could be sitting as well. Modano is neither better or worse than the fore-mentioned players, but his style of play is vastly different and it would cause San Jose to change up a little bit, and that could throw the equilibrium off enough for a few lucky bounces to go our way, instead of theirs...

I am not calling out Bertuzzi what-so-ever, I have no issues with him, I was simply referencing the possibility of kizmit. In regards to McCarty, I thought it was a joke to bring him back in 2008. He had ZERO bearing on the team winning the Cup...
-
ya, but to indicate he is the team's best player all playoff is hysterical... Anyhow, change is needed, whether miller, eaves, abby or hudler sit, something needs to be done to knock some sense into these players....
-
Maybe there IS a Steve Moore curse... The two years we didn't have Bertuzzi? Stanley Cup and a goal post away from possibly two in a row... Three years we've had him? Out, out and the rest is still unwritten...
-
I see Hudler tied with 6 other players at 3 points and he is only 1 point ahead of Miller and Eaves.
