if so, Trade Hudler right NOW! I will take that trade for sure!
-
Then I am sold! Make It Happen Kenny!
-
Best.video.ever. Typical Lemieux! What a puss! Oh wah, I got punched so hard my legs don't work!
-
well, I think I found a team in the East that I like now! at Talbot The Turtle (and from the way you got your ass kicked later, you should just keep turtling) Fa-Q Mario! If your team was the one kicking ass and winning the hockey game, you wouldn't had said a single word! It's just too bad your whiney ***** Crosby wasn't out there to get his head ripped off!
-
not that I agree the $4m is good, I don't, but what are we paying Hudler? $2.9m? for what? We have our share of overpaid players...
-
How is he defensively? I see he can fight, stick up for his teammates and rack up some PIMs, but I don't want a pylon out there. The cap hit definitely favor us, trade Hudler and Kindl for Carkner and Neil. Of course if the pot needed to be sweetened, Holland could do it...
-
OK, Jakub Kindl and Jiri Hudler for Joe Corvo. Then somehow get Wisneiwski... I too would love to see Vokoun here, BUT he makes over $5M, it would cost us dearly to clear that much cap space!

thanks, I will try it! увше Ерфтлы ше цщклув!!! Not sure if I have the correct dialect though, when I type Datsyuk it looks like this: вфеынгл. Not quite the same as above. Maybe I need to install more dialects? I dunno, but thanks! -

One: thank you for some very awesome and educational insight on the Russian language! B: I do agree it'll be better with the correct spellings of the names. I wouldn't even mid seeing the actually Russian spelling of their names, it looks pretty cool! Third, My name is of German decent and has the "IE" in it pronounced "EE" but I constantly either get the pronunciation "I" or get it spelled "EI" by people! I hate that! and D: how are you able to type the Russian characters? I have always wanted to be able to type foreign letters but have never been able to figure it out! Thanks again for all the insight -
...but...but...but...Franzen is the next Fedorov, didn't you hear? I agree, there have been a lot of invisible players recently, I just don't get it...
-
Good! Then they can make a fantasy of mine a reality, hire Larionov and Fetisov for the assistant positions! I know, Fetisov is not gonna happen, Larionov is an outside chance, but how about we give Chelios the defensive coach position?

This is the bottom line and flame me all you want... Forwards are to soft, I am not begging for an enforcer or even making this a NA s. EUR thing, they are just too soft, even Bertuzzi. Defense absolutely sucks! They've sucked for years, even 2008, too many offensive defensmen, Ericsson is NOT the next best thing and like it or not Stuart is the best defensman on this team. Lids is not playing up to par, but he is almost 41 now, that can be expected. McCrimmon has got to go. Goal-tending is good, but not great. Jimmy makes some timely saves, but he cannot stop everything with this sub-par defense, and he eventually gets tired and lets in some stinkers and has mental mistakes. Someone above said this team needs a shakeup, that's agreeable, but really it needs more like an earthquake. Where to start? I couldn't tell you, because of all the long term contracts and loyalty going on, it's gonna be hard to get this fixed for this or next season... What I think they need? Lights out #1 goalie, two DEFENSIVE defensmen, and a ligit sniper than can score pretty much at will. BUT, with the cap space they have eaten up, there is no way of getting that all at once. Ken Holland has a ton of decisions to be made in the off season. Goaltending (Nobakov is still a possibility) defense ( I still like trying to sign Wisniewski) then go from there up front... baby steps. Oh yeah, Trade Hudler and Fire McCrimmon...
-
Geez, I hope you don't live in a glass house! ..ok, how's this, I think the defense would be worse without Stuart, I am surprised there isnt some talk of trading Hudler, since he is basically the most useless player on this team... Pitkanen is not as good as Stuart in my opinion...
-
You think our defense sucks now? Pitkanen? :puke: I have noticed you have mentioned trading Hudler, perhaps the most useless Wing playing right now....
-
About the only thing Holland will attempt to get is a goalie. With all the injured players coming back, he won't need to trade for a forward. Someone earlier said that Florida wouldn't take our depth players and a one dimensional Hudler, well they would if they also got a prospect they wanted. Holland could trade that prospect and demand that someone like Hudler be included in the deal too as a salary dump, Hudler may do good in Florida () but I would like to see Holland get Vokoun for the Cup run, it's just shedding the salary to make room for him. Trade Hudler, prospect & draft pick, put Osgood on LTIR and he may have room for Vokoun's salary. Then again, Holland may just stick with Howard/Osgood in order to trade for the very cheap Nabokov over the summer... but there's my thought on a trade deadline deal... edit: Nevermind, Vokoun makes $5.7M, there's no way to acquire that much salary... so oh well... If it's true Versteeg may be up for grabs, Holland could dump Hudler, prospect, draft pick to Toronto... Better be a hot prospect, because who the hell wants Hudler?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TGMgz5xAvI Nope, not him.... -
this is why I could never play in this league (besides the fact I am not good enough, but that's another topic! )if a player blatently tried to injury me that way and possibly end my season or career, I would have gotten up a reeled my stick back and two handed him right in the back of the neck!
-
he makes over $5M, so it would take some salary dump, Hudler ($2.85M) and someone else who makes $2.5M or more... most likely not gonna happen, but it would be nice!
-
The question is, who are the Wings gonna go after for the run? Oh wait, we have the proverbial <players name> coming back from injury is our trade deadline acquisition... ...lets hope it works this year! I would like to see the Wings trade for Vokoun. Pitts will get Crysby back, so they probably won't trade for anyone...
-
PLUS, they have over $24M avail in cap space in the off season, with nobody else to sign that is more important to them then Weber. Look for a lifetime contract with Rafalski/Lidstrom type $$$. Then Suter is an UFA the next off season, with tons of cash to spend. Those two are in Nashville to stay! (unless they want out for some reason, that could happen.)
-
I agree! The holdout didn't sit too well with Mr. I, but more so than that,I think it is who actually signed Fedorov is what REALLY pissed Ilitch off! Pete Karmanos and Iltich are BITTER, BITTER, BITTER (did I mention BITTER?) rivals and generally do not like each other. Then, during his contract year 2002-2003, Iltich offered him TOP salary and Fedorov didn't want to sign until AFTER the season, that also offended Ilitch and after he pulled that 5yr offer off the table, his offer after the season shrunk to 4 yrs. Fedorov said he would accept the earlier offer and Iltich told him that offer was gone. So Feds signed for the same amount in Anaheim.

at how this thread has gotten way off topic! BUT to keep it off topic, put the Russian 5 up against Franzen - Zetterberg - Holmstrom Lidstrom - Kronwall. I think the Russians would prevail.
-
and for those of us that suffered thru the early 80's and all the playoff disappointments of the late 80's - early 90's.... WOW! What a run! No wonder every other hockey city in the NHL hates us! SucK it Trebek!
