1. Ruin the NBA - CHECK! 2. Ruin the NHL - CHECK! 3. Ruin the MLB - 4. Ruin the NFL - 5. Ruin the MLS - 6. Ruin the PGA - 7, Ruin the WPT - But if Bettman doesn't approve of the location the owner wants, he says no. "Either put the team in Santa Fe or you will not get a franchise!"

McGrattan and Boyd placed on waivers
LeftWinger replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
Here's an idea, if everyone wants to get rid of Piddler, trade him for a pick and let Miller and Eaves play everyday and even when Draper comes back, Holland will still have room for an injury call up. At least Miller and Eaves know AND execute their roles, Piddler is just a waste of $2.8M... I don't know much about McGratton, but it seems we are doing alright with what we have, except with Piddler on this team Babcock cannot ice the best team he has... ...as are 5'2" players who cannot fight for the puck and has lost any resemblance of a scoring touch he once had. -
...well "dumbass" is nothing compared to what I have been called (and -'d to death) for saying negative stuff about him since he has been associated with the Wings. The guy couldn't even make his Olympic squad last year...Useless waste of $2.8M! I would've rather had Samuelsson back at the $2.5M he signed for in Vancouver. At least he scored the big goal when a spark was needed!

Following his retirement, Riendeau would become a goaltending consultant for the Toronto Maple Leafs, a move that allowed him to work with Joseph again. Riendeau would then spend the 2004–05 season as the goaltender coach for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL. He is the leader of the Winter Hawks NAHA-Riendeau Goalie Camp.[8] Riendeau works as Goalkeeper Coach by Hamburg Freezers in Germany. He also moonlites as the head diving coach for the Canadian Goaltending Diving Team.

Piddler will be lucky, LUCKY if he gets 25 points this year... He had 1 good season, he has stunk it up in Russia and here since, just because he had 50+ points one year doesn't mean he is great. Hell, Jimmy Carson twice had over 100 points, and we all know how that ended up... (at least he got us Paul Coffey, who in turn got us Shanahan) edit: and PLEASE stop with the BFF line! WTF? is this facebook or something? The only BFF's in the NHL are Gary Bettman and Cindy Lee Crosby... edit again: Trade Piddler for a draft pick so when Draper comes back he'll take his place in the press box PLUS we'll still have cap relief for injuries! Holland is thanking his gramma that Piddler didn't accept the $3.5M contract he offered him! Dump the $2.8M loser!

Did I read BFF Line? Really? I certainly hope that is not an official line name that the Wings use! I understand that it is the initials of the players but BFF=***. How about a little more creativty, like using the initials in this order FBF, which could be translated to Four By Four, then it could put down as 4X4 Line. A little silly I know, but not as *** as BFF... ...meanwhile back on topic, hooray for Leino, he showed some flash when he played a game or two with the Twins, but he never found a niche here. If we hadn't signed Bertuzzi, for God's sake, Hudler probably would have been on the second line! :puke: Well, looking back now, it's easy to not understand it, but when the trade happened Lang was a 70-80 point scorer. Who'd of thought he would hurt himself and turn into a turd sniffer here? Not the first time we've given up a lot to get what turned out to be crap! (one particular trade between the Blues and Wings comes to mind)

Marty LaPointe: On December 5, 2009, it was reported that Lapointe's former team, the Chicago Blackhawks, have hired him as a pro scout. Manny Legace: Manny is currently starting goaltender for the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL. Marc Rodgers: WAS the head coach of the Knoxville Ice Bears, but was asked to resign earlier this year... Larry Murphy: Currently drinks himself into oblivion and attemtps to be an analyst for Fox Sports and the NHL Network.

I find it hilarious when people think that Modano is going to be a 13th or 14th forward! News to everyone, he is not going to be lower than the 9th forward. He was promised third line minutes and that is why he signed here. If he was given unsure answers about how much time he was going to get he would have retired. Like him or not, he WILL be on the 3rd line. Piece O' Carp Hudler is the odd man out. Nice knowing ya Huds! Go back to Russia! edit: for Hudler's $2.8M there are a ton of players who can and have been playing better than him in this league. I'd take any of them of Spudler...

via Wiki: Rick Zombo: Zombo is an accomplished artist who has worked on projects like the promotional issue of the City of Heroes comic book. Rick Zombo recently purchased the Zomboni Zamboni company from Edward Zombo of Grand Forks, North Dakota. Brad Marsh: After his retirement, he moved into the Senators' front office as Director of Team and Business Development and remained there for several years. He also coached various levels of minor hockey over the years.[1] He owns a sports bar known as "Marshy's" located in the Centrepointe area of Nepean, a suburb in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Brad Marsh was announced as the head coach of the Ottawa Senators (CWHL) on August 31, 2009.

gee, you would think Holland knew a thing or two of what he was doing dumping these guys, eh? Next up Hudler...
-
No offense, but.... Hudler is showing none of this, hence the reason he was benched. (are you watching a different Hudler than the rest of us?) Modano signed here to be on the third line(or higher.) He will not be on the fourth...
-
The only thing the video was missing was a photo of the both of them side by side show the matching tattoo's...

Kronwall should've been traded at the draft to move up (and cut salary) He was touted to be Nick, Jr.... ...well, he has payed like a junior alright. He had one good playoff, when salary needed to be dumped he should've been traded (along with the rights to Hudler.) Somewhere, someone has to go. Lets just hope he gets his ass in gear and returns to his "Kronwalling" days. Of course, dont know who would replace him...
-
...and THAT is where Hossa and Franzen are equal. Injury prone... along with Kronwall, Zetterberg...
-
Ok, ok, he doesn't suck. Poor choice in words there, I can't pinpoint whether its him or the defense, but something is bad out there, whichever one it is. And yes, if (when) Osgood retires after the season, I can see the Wings going after a proven vet goalie and using him and Howard as a 1a-1b tandem next year. Who that is and can Holland afford him? Don't know...
-
IMO, Osgood is tired and old (let him get #400 and then sit him.) Problem is, Jimmy sucks too. Wings need a big time player goalie, too bad the rediculous contracts do not allow that to happen this season. It's gonna be Jimmy all year, giving up 4-5 goals per game. I have never been nor ever will be impressed or have faith in Jimmy. God I hope McCollum is better than Jimmy. Although he is dropping down the prospects list... Wings might have to make a play for a REAL goaltender in the off season...
-
No way its gonna be Modano. He will just retire, he needs to be paired up with some players who can play. I like him with Cleary, but Hudler needs to go. Put Abdelkader up with Modo and Cleary and sit Hudler...

Well, I didn't say Hossa was the reason Chicago won the Cup, but the guy I quoted said we have the best GM (which I don't dispute) and was glad he signed the guy who wins us Cups and not Hossa. So, he hasn't gotten us a Cup yet since Holland chose him over Hossa. I put the there because it was a tongue in cheek statement, sort of like saying the Wings haven't been able to win a Cup without McCarty. His point was Franznen scores so he is gonna win us Cups. My point was Hossa doesn't, yet he won a Cup. (since the decision) You guys are WAY too sensitive... (BTW, We haven't won anything since Zetterberg re-signed either!)
-
Ya! Because since Holland signed Franzen and Hossa signed for more in Chicago, Hossa has 1 Cup and we have ZERO.
-
NOT! If he does get a suspension, then something is afoot at the Circle K! Besides this one wasn't deemed a penalty or was he suspended for it either, so Kronner should be ok.
-
Hey Sheemu there's one simple word to describe it....GENETICS! Just call up old Burkie, he'll explain it to you! Sort of like this one... Watch how Sheemu demonstrates the proper way to hit an opponent. wait, does he leave his feet AND hit from behind? Damn scooty he does!
-
Pun Intended?
-
remember he got busted with a hooker? Must be some kind of STD...
-
How about moving Abdelkader and Helm up to the third line and put cleary and Hudler down with Miller(Eaves)
