I am confused as to why shaving would encourage your g/f's to watch? Exactly just where do you shave?
-
Just remember guys (and gals) that it usually takes a couple of first round flat-lining games for the Wings to get 'er going, so don't be too panicky. Of course they usually don't fight for their lives for two months to make the playoffs and stay there either, so maybe they'll come out steam-rolling!

Too each their own.

Game Day Thong anyone?
-
Wear it, or don't wear it. Superstitions are just that, not real. If the fact that they have both won and lost while you were wearing that sweater doesn't prove that, then you should step out of the box and look at the big picture. With that being said, it's time to go to the Playoff GDT and post the "Game Day Playoff Thong" pic for luck!

How about ex-Wings? Some of you Manny lovers will love these! I work with Manny's Father-In-Law and back on the 14th of January he took a few of us from work to the game in which after we got to go downstairs a meet Manny. My wife took these pictures of Manny, he couldn't stay long, he was scooted along to the team bus. I guess after all Hockey is a business and the players have to go on to the next work station! There were a ton of people down there this time, Tim Gleason had 150 people on his list to get to the lockeroom...

I am at a loss. It looks like an A and then in the last name it looks like a G (kind of.) Al McDonough? He only played 13 games for the Wings, has he ever played on the Alumni team or have any association with it? Its a mystery. edit: Never-mind

Looks nothing like Doug Brown's signature. Even if was in a hurry, it would have SOME of the same characteristics.

Quick question regarding possible Cup Final "Rubber Match"
LeftWinger replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
The "rematch" if any is gonna be Wings/Devils to settle the debate! Pens out first round... -
I find it harlious that he chose this as his screen name, shows he has some knowledge of Hockey and it's history, too bad he seems to forget Link Gaetz's history with the Detroit Red Wings... No wonder it's his ghost, because he got killed in these fights: I was at this game! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hkkf-L_KeVA

Homer, only to be taken away becuse Holmstrom farted in front of Sivgalov...
-
I like that this is the best someone can come up with for an edited picture, it was so stupid that another fan had to ask what exactly was hanging from the large rat's mouth.... I also wonder if the fans out there know how bad our Coyote problem is getting, so bad that some landowners have been told they can shoot them when seen! I think we have more Coyotes rummaging through garbage cans in Michigan than they have fans in Arizona. Don't worry Phoenix, the Cardinals will be starting training camp in August...
-
Take the good with the bad, first round exit, we might get a pick high enough to get him. Stanley Cup we get Haken Pupen out of the Wisterialovakia....

The difference there was the Network made him apologize to the city and it's people, he said he was glad that the Pistons didn't win the game because those people would burn that city down. Do you think Gary Buttman or the Vancouver Canucks will make him apologize, doubt it...
-
I don't mind him saying stuff like Wings are Beatable even saying things bad about Wings and Wings players isnt so bad. But why do people (especially people in the public eye) continue to bash a city and region that is struggling and suffering right now? The people of Detroit and it's surrounding area did nothing to Alex Burrows or the Vancouver Canucks. If he wants to say Nick Lidstrom wears dirty underwear, that's fine, but God Damn it leave Southeast Michigan ALONE! Detroit helped build America, Michigan helped build America, in a lot of ways, Michigan is still a huge contributor to the succcess of not only America, but all of North America. And that is because of its hard working people. Despite the fact that our Government and CEO's continue to screw us over, we only get stronger. Alex Burrows needs to apologize to the people of Detroit. He also needs to realize that if not for cities like Detroit, there wouldn't be cities like Vancouver. These kind of people disgust me. Hey Alex, there must be something good about our community, most players that come here and live here, never want to leave. Oh BTW, how many players in the NHL have either grown up here or gone to school here or just live here in the off-season. There is something special about Michigan, Southeast Michigan, Detroit and Hockeytown. It's unfortunate people cannot look past the cover and open the book to page 1 and see what kind of people we are. Not just as Hockey fans, but as people & communities. We live, we breathe and yes Alex, we bleed just like people in Vancouver, Los Angeles, Tallahassee & Edmonton.

Crysby :puke: Too bad he whines and cries and flops around like a fish, then maybe I could congratulate 50 goals for him, but until he grows up, :puke: (how many of those goals were on power plays that he embellished and shouldn't have been penalties to begin with?) I don't know why you people keep posting Crysby stuff on here, we will never respect the baby especially for his whiney antics in 2008 (obstruction, obstruction, wah, wah, cry!) and then for his hand shake dis in 2009. Die Crysby, DIE... :puke: :puke: :puke: Oh and BTW: :puke:

I'm sorry, where was he born and raised again? Thats right, yet another superstar that has roots in Michigan. We ARE Hockeytown...
-
Calgary OUT! Colorado secures a playoff spot, sits in 8th right now. The teams that are in are San Jose, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Detroit, Colorado, Vancouver & Nashville. What matchups would you like to see? Who do you see as Detroit's hardest first round opponent?
-
Ok, you've stumped me... Is this Bryzkolov's nickname? But ya, I think we'd have a better chance against Luongo, Nabokov or Huet than Bryzkolov....
-
If that does happen, I will throw my chair thru the television!!!! The last time the Wings had a a pick in the top 20 they chose Kindl and I about tore my house to shreds in disgust! But that is exactly the type you are referring to and God I hope you are wrong, if this guy gets to the Wings, Holland damn well better take him. With LIDS retiring soon and nobody really that special on the blue-line in GRR to come up, this guy could be a Wing within 2 years. (maybe less)
-
Well, so much for that off season wish....
-
This guy needs to be a Detroit Red Wing! He is exactly what this team needs, no this is not an anti-European player post, but this guy has Pronger/Hatcher written all over him. The Wings haven't had a guy like this since, hell, don't know when. Maybe Vladdy, but he wasn't a fighter and he definitely was 6'4" (although he played that big most nights.) Please Holland, get us this guy (if he falls to us) PLEASE! Actually a few mock drafts have the Wings taking this guy at #19 (if they get that good of pick.) But ya, he would someone worth trading up for. Maybe trading Hudler's rights...
-
Wow, this GDT is getting hot! Anyhow, I think the wings will be ok if they face Van/CHI/SJC. I really don't want to face PHX first round, that would be a nice WCF along with a DET/NJD SCF to end the debate once and for all! So whatever happens tonight Wings, JUST REMAIN HEALTHY PLEASE!!!! LETS GO WINGS! CODE: RED

THIS has already been proven! Do you all recall the 2006 World Series? Tigers just steamrolled teh Yankees, swept the A's and then as it got cooler decided to hold their practices in Ford Feild, and well, we all know what happened when they face St. Louis! For Pete's sake, Jeff frickin Weaver even beat them that series and he was possibly the worst Tiger pitcher EVER before they faced him! NO THANKS TO FORD FIELD!!!! I pity any home team that plays in there!

God I hope they dont move to the palace for any game, let alone two years! As much as we will wish the Ilitch's do this Olympia idea, its all about money and being NEW. I know this new Olympia seats more has better views and has the suites, but really how much of of Old Tiger Stadium did he incorporate into Comerica? Now, just liek the Old Red barn, Tiger Stadium is just a vacant lot. (f&cking city!) Anyhow, Ilitch wants a arena that seats more than the Joe, he wants the midlevel and upper level suites (much like the Palace) and in this day and age of selling names, Olympia is pretty much out of the question. Look for (now that the arena in SLC is not named it anymore and with it being the largest airline in the world with a huge presence in our area) Delta Centre. Notice the "RE" instead or "ER" giving the arena a Canadian flare honoring the history of Hockey. Of course this is just a suggestion and not set in stone, but there will be a corporate name on there in one way or another. Solution, "rent" the Joe for two more years until the Delta Centre is built. I do wish he would build a stadium/arena like the New Olympia style,I am a huge nostalgic person and would love to see the city make historical a lot of the old hotels and theatre's and other buildings in the city and invest in rebuildng them instead of making more vacant lots. Building a NEW Olympia would do wonders for the city. Pleaes Mr. Ilitch, no Cookie Cutter Arena, PLEASE!
