I think we all call that dirty, cheap, rotten and down right stupid. There isn't one person on here defending what Bertuzzi actions resulted in, you on the other hand seem to think that it was ok that Cooke went headhunting and blindsided the guy just because he hit him with his bi-cep "area." As a matter of fact there is probably more than 50% of the users on here that were disgusted when the Wings traded for Todd in 2007 and were equally disgusted when the sign him over the summer. I would like to see your reaction to a Chris Pronger "bi-cep area" headshot to crysby resulting in the same injury...

Ya, just as much as you want to see cindy crosscheck Zetterberg in the back of the head and somehow defend his actions... I would love to see Kronwall level cindy like he leveled Havlat to where his eyes were rolling into the back of his head. Damn I wish Scott Stevens still played! He took out the "next" one he would assuredly dismantle and decapitate cindy the crybaby...

crysby, the face of the NHL! All you crysby slappies out there wonder why every other fan in the NHL want to see him crushed by a truck on the pennsylvania turnpike. Not really dead, but God, how can anyone defend that whining, crying little *****? Then just because he loses (for them) a game that means nothing he has act like that. Too bad cindy, you are a worse player than Zetterbewrg and it was proven AGAIN tonight. Everytime these two go head to head, Zetterberg owns cindy, not ONE crysby slappy out there can dispute it or even present a good argument against it. cindy just proved again tonight why he sucks compared to Zetterberg... A couple others have to be Vincent Riendeau and Troy Crowder. Huge hype coming into their first games and OUCH! Injury... Vincent "I took A Dive" Riendeau only played 2 games and Troy Crowder only played 7 (had 35 PIM's in those 7 though!) edit: What made the Crowder signing worse was he was a type 2 FA at the time and Wings had to give them compensation, the Devils wanted Probert, but and arbitrator awarded them Dave BArr and Randy McKay. In hindsight, I would have rather kept Randy McKay...

I was also pretty excited when the Wings got Miroslav Frycer in 1988, but alas, he was a major disappointment too. (yes I actually purchased a Wings sweater with #14 Frycer on it. Hell,I may still have it somewhere.)

I can't believe nobody has mention, but when the Wings acquired Jimmy Carson from the Oilers, everyone and their brothers were excited getting a guy who scored 55 and 49 goals the season's prior. The Wings should've drafted him instead of Joe Murphy first overall in 1986, but seemed to make amends by getting him in 1990. Of course, he was used to get Paul Coffey here later on, which worked out pretty well, until Bowman came to town. Of course, in a round about way we drafted Joe Murphy 1st overall and wound up with Brendan Shanahan in the end. I'll take that! But ya, Carson was a HUGE disappointment.

Yep, first flip sucks, then he is awesome. Wings suck, they rock. Until they prove they are ready to take the steps needed to win consistently,I will still keep the same position, no playoffs this year. Need MAJOR changes in the off season. McCrimmon needs to be fired. One period doesn't give them a playoff spot. I hope they make it, I hope they win the Cup, but reality says, not. I would love to be wrong.

Good come back, lets hope they hang on in the 3rd. Problem is they cannot string 6 or 7 of these games together. They play like this in one period, sometimes 2, but shoot themselves in the 3rd most nights. Then sometimes the play like yesterday. Nice period, but far from playoff hockey. I certainly hope they continue this play, but all too many times, they don't.

We'll see. He needs to make a decision by July 1st, or he will handcuff the Wings. Holland needs to let all UFA's except Lids and Holmstrom and possibly Eaves go. Move on, spend the money elsewhere on players that don't suck. Lids $4MM, Holmstrom $1.5MM, Eaves $500,000. That leaves $10,000,000 for spending on our RFA's and picking up a UFA or two...

A great captain would shoulder the blame for this dismal season.

Time for Holland to prove that he is the best GM out there. He needs to make a deal on draft day to move up, WAY up/ He also needs to make a huge splash on July 1st. IF Lidstrom doesn't sign by July 1st (for $4MM or less) then Holland needs to move on. He cannot afford to wait until Lidstrom makes up his mind sometime in August...

Goodbye Detroit. No playoffs this year. It was 20 years ago the last time we missed the playoffs. I am sick of the biased reffing, Mike Ilitch has to see this s***, why doesn't he say something!!!! Maybe he is getting paid off to keep quiet. I think its time to give Howard a rest. Looking like a rookie now a days. Granted he is playing just as good (or crappy if u may) as everyone else, but he doesn't need to get burned out. Once again, off season, only a select few are untouchable. This team is playing pathetic, at least we have the injuries to blame, oh wait, they're healthy. Make deals Holland or lose credibility.

then maybe Ilitch will step in and tell Holland to make changes. I am tired of the "player X coming back from injury is our deadline deal or UFA signing." Playoffs or not, this team sucks, injuries or none, they are horrible. Brad McCrimmon needs to be let go and changes need to be made. The guys with No trade clauses, ultimatum, either wave them or be waived.
