Well, Gary gave them the Cup. I do agree with the OP that it isn't time to press the button, but it is armed. The Cup right now, I believe, is a pipe dream for the Wings, I do hope they make the playoffs and you know that anything can happen once you get there. But if they don't add someone by the deadline, the playoffs are just gonna get further and further from their grasp...

this is the exact reason Kronwall should've have been dealt on draft day to try to move up. Kronwall is a china doll, always has been, so he had one year where he remained healthy. Every other one of his 6 seasons he has been hurt in some way. There is no "Nick jr." Lidstrom is one of a kind and they broke the mold when they made him. Kronwall will NEVER be anywhere near what he is being talked about, you want to free up salary, trade this guy and free up the $3M you will need to aquire someone at the deadline. We'll have to give Ericsson some more time to show his face beciase he is still a rookie. All this talk about trading a defenseman, well Lebda, Meech AND Kronwall should all be dealt. I am tired of this china doll. Holmstrom needs to retire too, if he cannot stay healthy anymore, hang em up. the nhl is a joke. its just a giant corporation like Ford or GM or Delta. You can show them tons of ways and ways to save money all over the place, but all they say is pay cuts and layoffs. They say for everyone they get wrong, there are 900 they get right.... Don't get me wrong, I am with you, but it aint gonna change a thing.
