So, funny that I should start this thread, but I do see the upside in Hudler, I was the one who started the thread stating that he was worth $3m or more on the market, so lets get it done. Kenny, this guy is ONLY 25 years old. Obviously he wants to stay, obviously he has a huge fanbase that thinks he is good enough now and project him to be a 100 pointer by time he hits his prime, so lets give him a Zetterberg deal. No not $6m per year, but give him a front loaded 12 year deal with an average cap hit of $1.5million. When he is 30 - 35 years old, he will be a bargin at a $1.5 cap hit. I am not that good with numbers so if someone out there would breakdown a 12 year contract that is front loaded but still only average $1.5 against the cap, lets see what we would be paying him up front. If he is scoring 60 points now with limited ice, just think when it's Hudler - Zetterberg - Datsyuk five to seven years from now! All you number crunchers out there lets see the terms broken down. The contract is 12 years with an average cap hit of $1.5million. All you arm chair Kenny's out there, lets get it done! A hit of $1.5million will still allow us to sign a Travis Moen too!

I do not like him period. Is it so wrong for someone not to like a player, even though that players plays for the team he likes? And my point with the $1.1m is that is what he should agree to play for HERE, not that his value is not more on the market, and no Kopecky is not worth $1.2m, I don't know what Chicago was thinking, but, they gave it to him, which was my entire point about Hudler getting $2.5 of our $3.3 cap.
