Ya,but you cannot pass up on the potential of this kid. 22, played in LA, do you expect him to have Norris numbers? Put him on a team with Lidstrom and whamo! PLUS, it dumps Stuarts salary (if he would waive) and sets a VERY good, yound D corps for years to come! Trade Hudler/Meech/Stuart for Johnson and a pick...

the #24 has to be earned... Bob Probert, Chris Chelios, HUGE shoes to fill... -
Just say No!

But there will be "flunkies" that do it, exactly like the Pitts fans and the Hawks fans that boo Chelios. The Chelios one I really don't understand,it's not like he left for Detroit, he got traded, boo the managment for that one. Of course, they are, in the end, Hawks fans...
-
I know a certain "chump" that will boo him, as he does Fedorov or anyone else who may leave because, God forbid, the don't want to play for the Wings at 50% of their worth, and he'll turn around and cheer another one who soaks up most of our capspace... I think that should be "Fan" and "Flunkie"

:puke: Leino, then look elsewhere... -
No way Hurricanes rank above the Wings in any list...

For the record, I don't think the Hawks are chop liver, next year when they got to dump salary, and lose some FA's then you'll be chop liver. Also for the record, this is a thread about Rob Scuderi, not the Blackhawks
-
nice! First Hal Gill, now Scuderi! Pens are getting weaker too! Orpik is gonna have his hands full of Lappy & Pronger this season! Oh wait, they have God on that team....
-
I like, PJ would probably like to play here (get his brother motivated more!) And I am holding out for Moen,if there is one UFA we sign (at an affordable price) this is the guy I'd like to see come in! Over ANYBODY else left. Well unless we can get Tanguay to sign for $2.0m! Now that is dreaming!

WoooooOoooWOOoOOoOOoOooo, now you did it!

Ya, as funny or ironic as that is, missing a letter is not as bad as spelling a word wrong. But, ya, that was pretty funny, I even laughed!
-
^This! although I think Lids will re-sign for more like $5m himself. The we get Hossa for 11 years at a lessor contract than the $6m he wanted! What a genius Holland is! (well unless he makes that one mistake this offseason) Shhhh, cannot mention any names....
-
Yeah, like who's is gonna chicken out and NOT watch game 7? And while we're trying to be funny, but failing miseraby, it's "senSe" I see tons of ant-hudler folks on here, so I guess this debate makes senSe to them... go back to booing Fedorov and calling yourself a Wings fan and then NOT watching them in the Stanley Cup Finals Game 7... Oh, and if Hudler asks for more than 50% of what he is worth (like Hossa did) the he is also a Chump... Sacrifice in Detroit, you want the money, leave, which is what Hossa did, you wanna win, sacrifice for the team...

I do not like him period. Is it so wrong for someone not to like a player, even though that players plays for the team he likes? And my point with the $1.1m is that is what he should agree to play for HERE, not that his value is not more on the market, and no Kopecky is not worth $1.2m, I don't know what Chicago was thinking, but, they gave it to him, which was my entire point about Hudler getting $2.5 of our $3.3 cap. Takes up too much cap space for my liking, but Holland isn't trying to please me or any of you either, so as far as I am concerned he can give Hudler the entire $4.5 and when Lilja is heathy just waive him, it makes me no difference. The point of this thread was to see if anyone thought Hudler would take a long term deal to bring his cap hit down, but obviously for all the Hudler fans, he deserves just slightly under his market value and yet Hossa is an ass for not taking 50% of what his value is... Once again, I direct you to my thread what he is worth ON THE MARKET, so I comprehend what a player is worth. Just not worth soaking up most of our remaning capspace... IF he wants the payday, then go, be free, if he wants to stay, he must take the lessor contract, which I beleive should be around $1.1 to $1.5m...

http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.ph...c=59542&hl= Yeah, because that's exactly what I have been saying.... I think Hudler-lovers are very sensitive, relax people, I have nothing against him personally, but everyone of you expected Hossa to stay for 50% of what he s worth, is it so wrong that I believe the same thing about Hudler?
-
Hmmmm, wow! First of all, your quote wasn' even my post, so I don't now where this came from. Second I don't recall you laying into me in a previous thread, the only response I remember from to directly to me was another time where I mentioned a long term deal for Hudler and you responded "Long Term Long Term!" if that is laying into me, then wow, we now know why that Alaskan lady ruined the Presidential bid for the Republicans, don'tcha know! BTW, no I did not vote for the illegal immigrant that ran for President. lets see, what else. I really don't recall attacking you personally or telling you to change your name, crazy, but I do believe you have me confused with someone else. I made this thread because I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of re-signing Hudler but by not raping our Cap. AND if you do recall, I did start the thread called "If you think Hudler is NOT worth $3.0million, think again." In which I gave plenty of reasons why Hudler IS worth a raise, but givin our limited cap space, he is not worth $3.0m here. And he should take a page out of the superstars books here and re-sign for a lot less than his market value so Holland can ice the best possible team. I think maybe you should scan through your posts and reminds yourself of who you were yelling at before, because it wasn't me, but I am glad I got your attention because you were one of the folks I was hoping would come up with a great plan to keep Jiri here without raping our cap. Wow, maybe your 6'0 husband should help you with the panties that are i a bunch and while he's down there, relieve some stress. I started this thread in support of Hudler, only to find that everyone that was responding was anti-Hudler or didn't think he was worth re-signing. That is why I called out the Hudler lovers because in every other thread I mentioned my dislike for re-siging Hudler they were there. Relax Martha, relax!
-
I agree with all of you, I would rather see Hudler go, but for a while there I couldn't find anyone else to go along with me, all I got was a bunch of slack for saying Holland shouldn't match a $2.5m offer. I guess all the Hudler lovers are on break, the dinner bell must have gone off! Maybe they will return later. Trust me, I am all for getting a Neil or a Moen in here over Hudler and Sammy, thats a promise!
-
I totally agree with you guys, I am for not signing Hudler at all, BUT I would hate to see Holland give Jiri $2.0 to $2.5 of the available cap also. So if he was going to sign him, lets get creative and sign him long term (since he supposedly has so much potential) and have him throughout his prime years all while only hitting our cap for $1.5... If any of you guys thought it was a good idea for Hossa to sign at a $4 mllion cap, then it wouldn't be outrageous to ask Jiri to sign at a $1.5m cap. Ok, well 100 points maybe too much, but heck I'd take 70-80 points for sure. Sorry no sarcasm was meant, but I just don't want to see most of our ap used up on Jiri. If he is supposed to be that good and he is only 25, why not sign him for 10-12 years? Front load it so he is making a ton early and only $1m near the end. I also do not want to see them only get 1 draft pick in return since he'd have to sign somewhere of $3.1 or more to get a first and third in return, anything less is only a 2nd. of course MUCH less is nothing in return... C'mon all you Hudler supporters, lets get this contract done!
-
Ok, we've had enough "Thanks You Marian" threads the past couple of days, enuff is enuff. He is the mortal enemy now, a blackhawk. Cripes! We've had more threads thanking Hossa than we've had thanking Chelios, whom was much more important to this team...

Pitts just lost Garon too, he goes to Columbus... BTW, We haven't seen any Satan to the Devils posts yet, we are usually good for a few of those this time of year, so here's te first. Lets see Satan in a Devils uniform! And he can wear #6, so from his right shoulder to his left it reads, you guessed it, 6 6 6!
