only 1-0 guys, we got this!

My Strategy if I were Byslma

ya, or the offsides trick. Maybe this is the game that the refs call all the Wings at least once for hooking or tripping or looking at Crysby wrong... Maybe that is how Bylsma should motivate the Pens. Maybe THIS is the Bettman game! I hope not...

    Questions about Hossa and Pittsburg

and we as Wings fans aren't as upset when our (undrafted) ufa's leave us after they say they want to stay. ie. Schneider, Bertuzzi, shoot not even Shanahan. We felt more double-crossed when the likes of Fedorov, LaPointe and Dandenault (no so much) left. Dude, get over Hossa, HE WAS A RENTAL!!! You will sting more when Scuderi leaves, trust me! Didn't it hurt more when Malone left? We will intially be upset if Hossa leaves, but you know what, in the end, we won playing against him, we're gonna win playing with him, if he leaves, we'll still win. I don't even think he'd warrant boos when he came back to the Joe. It's different when someone helps you win, ie. Hull, Robitaille, Chelios, they all got cheered (Chelios if he plays somewhere should too.) He wouldn't be leaving as a rental. None of the players I mentioned were rentals. Robitaille would be the closest since he was only here for two season. But Hossa was there for 4 months? That'd be like us getting mad when Dmitri Mironov didn't resign, or Slegr... Get over it... You get nothing, you lose, good day sir!

    Questions about Hossa and Pittsburg

So, everything we've explained to you in the other thread just went in one eye and out the other then? The ONLY young guy you sacrifice is Hudler. PERIOD.

    Questions about Hossa and Pittsburg

Why don't you guys have any faith that Hossa is staying? You don't believe that the contract is done just not signed yet because of league rules? This guy has ALWAYS wanted to be a Wing, every tradeline has him coming to Detroit, but the price is too high. Now he is here, he says he'll take less to be here, his agent says the Cap issue won't be an issue at all. Do you really think he'll take his Cup and run? I want to watch all the crow being eaten come draft day, whereafter Hossa gets inked to his 7 year deal. Better start looking up recipes!

    Report: Dany Heatley requests trade

Nah, They'll be concentrating on ruining Tavares...

    Interesting ESPN polls

or just that 66 out of 100 people that voted are Detroit/Pit fans!
  8. LeftWinger

Penguins' youngest player is their most mature.

I am confused, either you are mixing them up or he is, Eric plays for Carolina, Jordan for Pit. Or am I mixing them up?

    Report: Dany Heatley requests trade

Hmmm, can you say, Detroit-Toronto SCF?

    Report: Dany Heatley requests trade

Ok, Heatly for Crysby straight up. Put Crysby where he belongs and Heatly turns Pit into a winner. (a winner that WE can respect as well.)

are we talking about fans or Cindy Louganis?

My Strategy if I were Byslma

EXACTLY my point! Although I didn't curse at all, I just used the typical names we use for their captain. (I refuse to call him by his real name, he hasn't earned it.) Evidentally they'all didn't pay attention to the last seven series the Wings played. THEY WILL NOT REACT TO THOSE ANTICS. You cannot get them off their game by being physical or trying to goat the into penalties. Didn't happen all last playoff and it hasn't happened all this playoff. The only chance Pens have is to lead by their hearts and NOT follow what's his name OR his evil twin...

    Win or lose...

Not next year, he is under contract until 2011/2012. Which will make him 39 years old when he lifts to Cup that year. If he feels good enough, come on back to be backup. He will probably already be the back-up by then anyhow. Why not take a couple hundred grand to watch and win a couple more Cups?

    Win or lose...

Who did I list that is considered depth? Hudler? you get a 1st and a 3rd round pick in exchange for him. The rest are VERY much replaceable. Are you referring to when the likes of Helm and Abdelkader and Ericsson are up for contract? Well, if they want to stay, they too will sign deals that have a smaller impact on the cap, just like Z and Dats and Franzen. By time Helm and Abdelkader are up, Holmstrom, Draper and Maltby will be gone FOR SURE. Stuart and Refalski will be near gone. The next contracts those three sign will not be the size of Any of our top players. Ericsson will probably sign on lke Stuart or Kronwall. Adbelkder and Helm will get about Hudler cash right now. Leino will probably get $1,000,000 next season. There is (with the three kids AND Howard) still $9.4 million available next year for Cap. If Hossa (as rumored) takes Franzen type cap hit, that still leaves roughly $4 million in space. Even if the Cap doesn't reflect the 4 Griffins, that still leaves $2 million for Leino and Kopecky or Sammy. Not even considering if Lija has to retire, if Ledba gets traded, if Draper and Maltby retire. The future is STILL bright even when Hossa signs... (you got to remember too, Lids HUGE contract comes off the books after next year, he'll either retire or sign for less...)

    Win or lose...

what makes everyone think we are losing Ozzie? Even after his contract, if he is healthy and motivated, why wouldn't he resign as the backup to (insert goalie here)? If he still has anything left in two years (which he probably will) who better to be a back-up than a 4 time (at least) Stanley Cup winner? I am willing to concede that he wo't resign to be the starter here, but why does he have to retire because we have a different #1? Ozzie WILL get Conn Smythe, he WILL get #30 retired and he WILL get in the Hall. It is done...

    Win or lose...

It's not. Seven year contract already agreed upon.... Last time we'll see Hudler, Sammy, Chelios, Conklin, Lebda, possibly Draper and Maltby, yes. That is the hard part. (except the Hudler part)

Funny, we haven't heard how Detroit can only win with the bounces off the boards recently...

My Strategy if I were Byslma

Pensfans, you just have to realize that "HE" (so I don't make fun of your captain) is NOT a leader. Leadesr DO NOT act like that. Lidstrom doesn't act like that. Joe Sakic doesn't act like that. Steve Yzerman didn't act like that. Mark Messier didn't act like that. Wayne Gretzky...oh, well he did, but you get what I am saying... Point is, I can not and will not respect him as long as he acts like he does. With that being said, the whole point of the post was, the Pens will not win with that kind of leadership. Once the rid themselves of that leadership (demote him) the better off they will be. Byslma just wishes he could do that now. Dan Byslma didn'tplay that way and he shouldn't have to stand watch his team being lead that way.. If you want to know my opinion on how the Pens may be able to win tonight, thay have to hope they get a quick start, get the Wings off their game (like game 4) and STAY OUT OF THE BOX. Detroit's power play is back. Thier confidence is back. Hossa is getting chances, only a matter of time and he'll score (hopefully 2 tonight, including the game winner.) Put hm on the powerplay and he'll get his chances and you pens know, he can score. Pens just need to lead with their hearts and not follow "HIM." "HE" will lead you nowhere. Unfortunately, the series turned with the dive, and there is no saving you, even if you manage to win tonight. I used to respect Malkin until he fell into "HIS" trap this series. When these players learn to lead, then they will have success, until then, lose. Once again, the likes of Orpik or Scuderi should be the Pens captain, too bad they are going to lose Scuderi to UFA this summer... The Pens having only score what, 4 even strength goals? Not going to cut it against the Wings who ar the deadliest team even strength, and now that their PP is clicking, you better how the whistles are in the home teams favor tonight.

My Strategy if I were Byslma

They just realize that they aren't going to win with Dive boy, cheapshot, crybaby as their leader. And that is no disrespect to the Penguins (honestly.) Crysby is not a leader, not with the way he handles himself. He is the exact opposite of leader. What would've happened if Steve Yzerman would've lead by that example in 1997 after Colorado pasted us 6-0 in game 5 that year in the WCF's? We may never know, but I doubt it would've been as good as just taking your lumps and coming back in game 6 and wrapping up the series like they did. Instead Crysby decides he's gonna cry and whine and slash and dive.... ...talk about turning points in the series? Pens up 4-2 with 10 minutes to go game four. Maltby taps Cindy on the ankle (no harder than Cindy tapped Maltby after game one) and Cindy Louganis acts like he was shot in the head, leaps to the ice writhing in pain (never once reaching for his "hurt" ankle) and lies there for 20 or so seconds while Detroit takes free shots at Fluery. So HUGE of a crybaby dive fake, that even after Pens gain control of the puck, refs still doesn't blow the whistle to stop the play in order to protect the "hurt" player. Couple that play with his total diaper appearance in game 5, and that spells turning point of the series. IT also spells, Pens losers as long as Cindy is captain. Demote this pretender, that would be my strategy if I were Bylsma, you know he wishes he could. Scuderi or Orpik should be your Captain...

    Anyone want a laugh?

LOL! F**K You Crosby You're an Ass Crack!
  22. keep them together. Flip, Hoss and Mule have great chemistry plus Franzen and Flip can handle Crosby or Malkin. Dats and Zetts can handle either as well. Don't change a thing....

SCF GAME 5 GDT: Penguins 0 at Red Wings 5

I think that his look says, that deep down inside, he is saying to himself, self "THAT, THAT is my poster child!!?!! This is MY poster Franchise?!!? What can I do to get Mike Ilitch to move his team to New York or Phoenix? Can I get Ken Holland fired somehow and then get him a job in Columbus?"

  25. That just proves the point that the aren't any REAL hockey fans in Southern California. Dude, so lets compare rookie stats: Stamkos - 23 goals 23 assists 46 points on a LOSER team. Getzlaf - 25 goals 33 assists 58 points on a Stanley Cup (hardly) Team in 82 games. Perry - 17 goals 27 asst 44 points 82 games ...and those two were #1 & #2 in scoring on your team (hardly) this season. But I would guess that you wouldn't call either of those two a bust. Since for most clucks fans (hardly) hockey doesn't exist until the playoffs. Just to compare Datsyuk - 11 goals 24 asst 35 points 70 games. Hart, Selke, Byng nominee to name a few...
