he's a TRADER too! He TRADED himself to a Winning frachise that will have a ligit chance EVERY year. He will get his Cup this year, but even if he didn't, he'll have more and better chances on Detroit than in the Pitt. If Hossa signs this rumored 7 year deal, guarantee he wins more Cups than crybaby...
-
Give us a break! Pavel didn't scre yesterday, yet when the Wings hoist the Cup he won't feel any different. Hossa is MUCH more than a scorer, beautiful assist on Fil's goal, one of the BEST back checkers, and he is making things happen by just being a threat! If the Penguins didn't feel like he was a threat, they'd let him go, and then guess what? Hossa needs 6 eyes on him all the time, doesn't matter if he scores, he gets assists in more ways than one, some with hard checks that result in getting no points on the goal, but he created the turnover, outhussled the player. Please, the one who needs to score to feel he was a part of this is Holmstrom, and oh yeah, Hudler :puke:
-
if the score was tied or we were winning, uh ya, I think so. And if we would've have lost on that insuing 5:00 major for tapping an ass, you better believe the conspiracy hounds would've been out, and rightly so! The ref should've given Luganis a penalty for his mockery of the sport(not that we would've scored on it though.)
-
and just like an ******* that opinion stinks. Dude, the refs were trying so hard not to laugh they woudn't have been able to blowthe whitle had they wanted to call a penalty! He DOVE ata very crucial time of the game, Detroit had FULL control and actually got a couple of poops at Fleury while Greg Luganis was lying on the ice. Usually when a player is hurt and in pain on the ice, the refs will bow the whistle when his team touches the puck, well, you noticed your guys got the puck and skated out of their zone all while he was still "hurt" on the ice. If the Wings would have scored on that sequence you would have had noone to blame but your golden boy. Wings score, maybe momentum swings (MAYBE.) Either way, he is an idiot, he is much better than that...
-
no doubt, Holmstrom needs to sit. He has been the worst out there ALL playoff long! Put Franzen on Fil's line with Hossa, stop making Hossa do all the work and when he has noone to pass it to, blame him for it. Cleary Dats Zett Franz Fil Hossa Leino Helm Abby Maltby Draper Meech Lids Raf Stuart Erics Kron Chelios SHAKE IT UP BABS! Do or DIE Saturday!
-
Yeah, he promised them he'd raise the Cap by about $8 million if they let Cindy win... ...bottm line, we sucked tonight, Pit played good, but it wasn't all their doing, if we had played well, well.... that debate can go on forever.... We sucked, they didn't, we lose. Two out of three, home ice still...
-
...well I had to stop somewhere. Nobody looked good tonight except Helm. Hossa had some spurts, but NEEDS to SCORE! Oh, Stuart looked good too! SO there ya go, Helm and Stuart are in!
-
if this same Wings team shows up in game 5, say goodbye to Stanley...
-
healthy scratches saturday: Hudler, Holmstrom, Leino, Draper, Maltby, Kronwall... Datsyuk, ice your ******* foot up and be a man! Put Abdelkader back in along with Meech up front and Chelios on D. f***, I know we can't sit all those people but s***! they may as well have been sitting!
-
we can still win. This has been our period ALL playoffs! some stuff to consider, not only is penalty kill killing us, we have no power play anymore. Also, havef you noticed tha Kronwall hasn't 'Kronwalled' anyone since Havlat? Was he givin a warning from the league? IS he afraid to get a penalty? WTF? If this Wings team shows up from now on, they don't deserve to win anything. Remain postive, 20 minutes to go, they scored 3 in 6 minutes and so can we!
-
the ONLY team I trade Hossa's bargainin rights to for a first rounder is the Islanders. Of course the Wings would pass on Tavares and select Hedman anyhow....
-
lets just be glad they didn't.
-
he should have been suspended, black and white, cut and dry. What about when he swung his stick at Zets head? Noone makes mention of that. Lets let Pit do what ever they want and even if they do get a penalt, we'll recind it. Whats next, the NHL recinds an interference call on PIT and takes away a Detroit goal? NHL Gutless..... We cannot supend a star player, no, that wouldn't be right, we have showcase this boy (yes, boy)
-
Thursday Dats in for Leino and Draper in for Maltby....
-
Just because the Wings win game 3 doesn't mean they would sweep. I wanted this game to go up 3-0 and really put htem in a hole, I will take the split any way on the road, but it would be nice to go up 3-0, but as long as we come home 3-1 then thats ok too!
-
One good thing about game 4, Hossa will score twice and shut up the idiots in Mellon-Head Arena...
-
I agree with most of what you are saying. Ozzie goals (all three) were weak, Pittscrap was hustling out there BUT, when they are allowed to play for :21 seconds with 6 skaters, when countless interference calls (both ways) were let go, when a horrible cross check to the ear of Frnzen is looked at and not called AND THEN the very, very weak call on Ericsson to decide the game? I would say folks have a ligit gripe at the reffing. Let alone the league for recinding Malkins instigator which should have sidelined him for this game, GUARNTEE on Wing does that and it doesn't get recinded. This has "Bettman" written all over it, from the Malkin Instigator to the weak call on Ericsson, to the allowance of 6 players on the ice. There you go Pit, you got your game from Fairy Bettman, enjoy it. This still ends in 5! (Bettman cannot control the outcome two games in a row can he?)
-
also on 97.1 it was said that the cap is going UP $12 million!?!? Does anyone have any kind of confirmation for this? I trust what Mike and Terry say, and if its true then that gives us what, $16-$18 million available? WOW!!!!

Bylsma "Every day doesn't need to be Sidney Crosby day"
LeftWinger replied to Nev's topic in General
I think he's getting tired of all the Crysby hype. He sees the commercials, he sees the lovefest and genuinely doesn't like it as much as the next guy. He's a good ol' Michigan boy, he's a blue collar hard working man, not into pampering prissy ***** players. He won't last long in Pit with that attitude towards their (NHL) messiah. Good Luck Dan, whereever you go next year! Wings In 5! -
if that is your case, then I guess Malkin needed Stuart to put the puck in his own net to get his only goal in two games then, right? Wings didn't need breaks last year? So the eventual game winner that Fluery s*** into the net wasn't a break? The fact that Hossa missed by inches almost tying it up at the end of game 6 wasn't a break? Dude, put the bud lite down and grab a real beer. These type of games by two great teams are won and lost from bad breaks or good breaks. One could argue both of Pits goals this year were the result of bad breaks for the Wings, giveaway (very rare) in game one, Stuart putting the puck into our net, it happens, bot not often. Turn those around and its two good breaks for you. Take those away and you are going home being shutout in the first two games AGAIN. You got to be lucky to be good. Don't worry, Crosbaby will have his multi point game, Bettman wil make sure of that (just like he made sure the instigator was recinded on Malkin so he doesn't get the suspension.) Your team will have their good breaks, you already have one, and you will probably win a game at home. This series ends at 5.

Osgood natural progression: Win 4th Stanley Cup, Become all time Wings career winningest goaltender regular season, play two more seasons, possibly 1 or 2 more Cups, retire #5 all time winnigest goaltender EVER, get number retired by Wings, get voted into Hall of Fame. PERIOD!
-
bend the rules for Pitscrap, why not? Yeah, pens are worse with Malkin in anyhow, especially if he cannot control himself, hey Malkin, how about doing thar in the beginning of the game? Oh BTW, what are the odds the ref gets fined or ousted from the playoffs, by Bettman for even calling the instigator to begin with? NHL network sad it themselves, you cannot suspend Malkin, it wouldn't be good for the NHL not having #71 in game 3. I think when Wisneiwski and Campbell refered to the Wings as gutless, they really meant the NHL is. Can't even eforce your own rules. That is why the NHL is ranked behind the World Poker Tour in television ratings... Hey Gary, I thought you were trying to rid the NHL of goonery like that? What's that? What? Oh! The NHL needs Malkin in the lineup.... ok, I see. How about we give Talbot a match penalty for spearing Osgood then? Give us something that shows you have a pair!
-
WoW! 1 goal (that we scored on ourselves) and people are panicking here! dudes it's 1 goal! They scored 1 goal yesterday, they played better yesterday, we still won! 40 minutes left! 5-1 Detroit! Go Wings!
-
No worries, they got better as the Columus series went on, they got better as the Ducks series went on, and they got better as the Hawks series went on. They will outshoot the pencils tonight nd win by a 5-1 margin...
-
We were lucky and got some good board bounces, so Osgood is cocky, whoopee fricking doo! A man with stats an awards has the right to be, Crysby has no business being cocky, he aint won s***,and if he dont pay better he may never! somone should tell this bafoon, that it aint going 7 so the law of averaves doesn't apply here!
