seems nearly everyone is available from Nashville. Would you entertain the idea of acquiring Jarnkrok, Fabbro and Ekholm? and at what cost? Would you dump Mantha for them? (you don't have to take Ekholm if you don't want, what would a good offer be for Fabbro and Jarnkrok?)

It will be nice to get him back if traded. Send him to a contender for a 3rd (2nd in a perfect world! ) and re-sign him to a nice raise for helping us out with getting another pick!

Honestly I hope Bobby Ryan stays and re-signs. Also, I would hate to see Glenny go.

Staal, Ryan and disney.com are all being looked at by teams so far....

ya, this team is SO poorly coached it's unbearable to watch. I do believe I have watched my last game until the entire staff is gone. If that is until next season, so be it.

must feel nice to have a power play that can execute...that being said, it totally sucks to have our (lack of) PK. Helm blew that coverage there.

I've said this before, and I hold to it. I won't judge the crappy play by players or blame them for anything until we get a real coach in here to show these guys a real game plan and plays. That being said, I want to extend my apologies to Jonathan Ericsson for being so hard on him the last few years. I now know who was really to blame.

remember when we had a game plan that involved puck control? Why the F did Erne just dump that puck in once he intercepted it. These coaches have ZERO game plan. F'ing embarrassing.

in the spirit of good sportsmanship, I am going to tune in tonight to see what happens. I am kind of perplexed. Nielsen gets waived, gets to play, Svechnikov gets called up, gets to sit. BTW, Namestikov will certainly enjoy his line mates. oh, and Helm on the top line? How in THE hell does this coach still have a job?

I hope so, but just like any other business venture, you shouldn't hire your friends or family to do the job because one day you will have to fire them. Of course, there probably isn't anyone that isn't or hasn't been a friend to Yzerman. I'm still holding out hope on Larionov. Currently he is HC of the Russian junior team.

So, for the draft is it C, D or G? C = I think he goes Eklund D = It's a toss up Power or Hughes. Which one do you prefer? G = Well, every ranking system I see, Wallstedt is in the top 5, does Yzerman take a gamble on a Goalie in the top 3? I know the general idea is you don't take a goalie that high, but MAF went, and he had a pretty good career. If we drafted a G and he had MAF numbers and results, I'll take it. (BTW, you KNOW we're getting a top 3 this season after the NHL system screwed us and all the talk of changes. I do not expect a #1, and barely expect a #2. I think that if #3 is the furthest we can fall, then that is what will happen. Can't have a 25 year playoff run in Detroit again...)

The Red Wings are 4/58 on the PP this season....most of which were 1 goal games. Tony DeAngelo is a power play point producer. It was stupid not to claim him for free (maybe there was a reason, like maybe trying to get another asset or retained salary) and it is ridiculous not to trade for him. His value is low, it wouldn't cost much to get him. The Rangers were bad last year too, so it could be possible he would bring his point potential with him, although our s***ty coaches would probably put an end to those points. However, he would be the best D we have right now. I really could care less about ANOTHER year at the best shot at #1. I am done with that crap. If we got Hughes or Power that would be great, but I think they will be available at 4 or 5 anyhow. I mean add one of those to a group that includes Seider, Hronek and Deangelo? Come on man! Maybe it's something that can be addressed at the TDL or in the summer, but his value will rise in time, no matter what his opinions are. He shoulo've been claimed off waivers IMO...but I too would've claimed Galchenyuk. I wonder what Toronto's idea was there? He could've been had for free, but after he cleared they traded two assets to Carolina for him. That's it. No extra assets or retained salary.
