...every last one of those guys "saw the light" at one time in their lives as well. Lets hope McWatse of Roster Spot keeps in the light or he could fall back into the dark bellows of which all of these guys fell back into more than once! And then they saw they light again, and so on, and so on...

...not unless he is gonna sign for less than 400,000... ...if that's the case, Kenny Get It Done! F--K the Ducks!
-
...nobody started a thread because why do it when all you are going to hear is how Sergei sucks, he doesn't deserve to be in the Hall or the rafters, blah blah blah, ALL FROM SOUR FANS!!!! ...Ovechkin will NEVER be Fedorov because he will never be as complete as Fedorov. He may one day score more points (if he doesn't bolt for the KHL where the money is and there is no Cap) but he will NEVER get a Selke and and will NEVER win 3 Stanley Cups. Even if Bure and Mogilney went uninjured, they too would have NEVER won a Selke or 3 Cups... ...Sergei Fedorov is absolutely THE Greatest Russian to ever play in the NHL. He deserves every accoloade he receives, he WILL be in the Hall of Fame and, like it or not (especially since he scored most of his points (including 400 goals) with Detroit) have #91 retired by the Detroit Red Wings... ...of course the above statement may also be why a lot of people didn't start a topic on this, but denying the truth doesn't make it less true, they're just bitter fans who secretly wish he never left and will ALL have the TIVO going the night #91 goes up in the rafters...

...Cool, I like the laces. Just one question, Chelios is wearing ours, who let the pre-teens wear the Hawks jersey's?
-
...I'd take a worn out shoe over McCarty... Call Downey up, flutck McCarty

....Cindy and Jeanne, the official Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson of the NHL. Or is Jeff and Jimmie the official Cindy and Jeanne of NASCAR? Whichever, that is all of their philosophy's...
-
...so a player has to be looking at a guy in order to commit a penalty? Duh! You look away from the guy in order to "LOOK" innocent! Morrow sold it well, and that ref bought it before it was put on the shelf! I know you are not that naive! Penalty should have been called, blatent, blatent slew foot, horrible non-call by ref. Suspend him, fine him, then cut his nards off...
-
....fixed it for you....
-
...it was a bullsheet non-call, with the ref blantently ignoring it. The play was right there, he was looking right at it. This crap needs to stop, the refs should not be able to control the outcome of the game and when their ineptness causes a team an unfair advantage or directly results in a team losing, both ref's missing the infraction should be suspended and fined. Maybe next time instead of grabbing the ref, the next time Peca is out on this ice he should dump the puck in the zone right at the ref's head, that'll get his attention. These ref's are not God's, they should be put in their place once in a while. The NHL says it will not tollerate ref abuse, but what about player and team abuse by NOT calling obvious penalties just because of the guys name on the back of his sweater? The ref deserves to be fined and suspended for being bias...

... ... ... ... I just can't stop watching your sig! Who is it and what movie is it from?!?!?!?
-
just a couple of observations... ...Notice Lids coming in the door, those chicks are there for Kid Rock not the High as a Kite Draper and the dude with the Michigan cap on! WTF man, who let the illegitimate grandson of Stan Laurel into this party!?!?
-
...I thought Iggy played for the Flames? According to this post, he plays for the CanadiEns, because I know you aren't refering to CanadiAn people being typically dumb, right? I hope you typed CanadiEns by mistake and meant to put "typical FLAMES dummy"

...Al Qaida is just about as guilty for last nights loss as they are of 9/11... ...unless you are talking about the terrorists in Washington (or in this caser New York)
-
...I didn't say it wasn't a big goal or a timely, important goal. I didn't say Flips was more important, but if you are ranking it on a highlight basis, Flips is a better goal that required more skill than just a tap in form a pass behind the net...
-
...no comparison, Flips was better! Booby Orr (misspelled on purpose) was already celebrating his goal when he was tripped, Flip was vertical when he put the puck in the net. You're right it didn't make him a superstar, but it puts Orr's to shame...

...the female sports writers were starting to be too much of a distration!
-
...ok, so, didn't want to start another thread, but do we know the opening day roster?
-
...uh, I agree, sooner or later Maltby will retire (he will retire a Wing) but I do believe you are mistaking Maltby for McCarty, because THAT was one of the worst wings signings in a long time and he is deadweight. He isn't an aggrevater, he is old and loses his fights... ...just like McCarty, Holland gives contracts out for players who have been here from the start and have been very loyal to this team, and like him or not, Kirk Maltby will continue to be a Wing and get contracts until he decides to hang them up, as will Draper and Holmstrom and Lidstrom and :puke: McCarty...
-
...ok, well, as much as I hate McCarty,I do understand that he cannot be sent down while injured, so unfortunately Downey had to go, but what gives me comfort is that I know as soon as McCarty is healthy, he will be in GRR for conditioning and at least Downey will be getting ice time down there to prepare for the call up! I am sure he doesn't mind playing in GRR if it means another 50 games in Detroit and another Stanley Cup! As far as McCarty is concerned I hope he finds his niche' in GRR and stays there, for he has lost a LOT in his tank and is pretty much just a waste of a roster position! ...so with Downey, well, Down and McCarty injured does that give Lieno the final roster spot for the opener? Speaking of the opener, anyone going to the Fox for the Def Leppard gig? I wanted to but wife has school and no one else wants to go! I'd take my boys, but they cannot sit still long enough at home to watch a hockey game, I doubt they'd be on their best behaviour at the Fox, let alone for Def Leppard! Oh well! If anyone goes, please post a thread about it, we'd love to read about it! LETS GO WINGS!
-
...remind me again why McCarty is on this team? That should be his FINAL one way ticket to Grand Rapids...
-
...not this season. Abs still has plenty of minor league eligibility (he can go down without clearing waivers) so that is where he'll go for this year for sure (and maybe a few more.) One day he will be here (unless they trade him in a Bertuzzi type deal, which I hope not!) I can see him taking Downey's role in a couple of season and Maltby is signed until 2010. I know we got to start making room for these guys, but for them the worst thing that could've happened was for us to win the Cup. It makes Holland NOT want to change too much in order to try to repeat, and if they do repeat, I have a feeling we are gonna see this exact team again (which isn't a bad thing.) So, Abs is gonna have to wait until the lose a Cup one year in order for "Changes" to be made... ...on a side note, this is Jimmy Howards LAST year of minor's, he has to make the club next year or clear waivers, so odds are we will see a Osgood/Howard tadem starting in 2009/10... ...their time is coming. Sammy won't e around here forever, Drapes and Malts will eventually see less and less of a role, but it sure is gonna be hard to crack the top 2 lines if Hossa stays around for a while! Hopefully we a squeeze him in soon though, I'd hate to lose him. But when you can boast a 4th line of Draper, Maltby and Lieno/Downey/Kopecky, it's gonna be hard to crack to lineup for sure!

is this actually going to be discussed? Talk about beating a dead horse!
