I am not sure on the entire roster, but does ANYONE have even 1 game played in a SCF's? ...turn the record over and see the Wings lineup, and the experience they have in SCF's... ...give the Pens credit for have hunger to get there, but to get there and then actually win it is a whole new ballgame... ...I hope there is no sweep either way. This (on paper) sets up to be one of the most talented SCF (on both sides of the puck) since I cannot remember when... ...I just don't want to hear all the Crosby knobgobbling on the VS./NBC networks OR the CBC. ...wow, isn't crazy how Dallas can all of a sudden dominate Detroit in every aspect of the game? Detroit cannot hit the net, they can't get around any Dallas player, Datsyuk has NO take-aways, Zetterberg looks like he's skating in mud and Osgood let in two soft goals after stopping nearly everything thrown at him. Wow, Ironic is all I have to say, it's like someone turned a switch and all of a sudden Detroit looks like a peewee team and Dallas looks like...., well, looks like Detroit! Gee, if it isn't obvious what's happening then you guys are deaf, dumb, blind AND Stupid... ...what is McCarty doing on this team? ...the NHL loves storylines, Turco never won in Detroit, WOW, look at this "non-hockey fan" what a story we have here! Only two teams have ever come back from 0-3 to win the series, WOW, look at this huge storyline, "Underdog team makes NHL history coming back 0-3 in a series to win it!" That is what Bettman wants....mark it down...

...why not just wish that Bettmans plane would crash on the way to the interview? ...anyhow, the Wings losing Game 4 just generated millions upon millions of dollars for the NHL and both the Detroit/Dallas organizations... ...now there is guaranteed at least 3 more games at the JLA and that gave Illitch a ton of cash in his pocket as well as the NHL gets a ton of money for every game played. This is the reason, Holland/Illitch are not TOO upset about losing game 4. It's all about making the money, sure they want to win the Cup, but if they won the Cup and made a ton of cash in doing so, he hits the jackpot! If the Wings would have swept Dallas, and then swept Pitt/Philly that would only give Illitch 2 more games at the Joe, now he is at least guaranteed 2 (if this series goes 7) and 4 if the Wings win it in 7. 3 games for sure if they win saturday, and that spells lots of revenue for Wings/Stars/NHL. The only losers are the fans who had to watch that display of garbage last night by the refs...

...hey refs, don't do us any favors by calling everything in the last 2 minutes of the game! Someone said Wings were 0 for 6 on the PP, well that first GOAL, yes it was a goal, was a powerplay goal, it also put the Wings up 1-0, huge momentum change if the Wings have the lead. If that goal stands, Dallas doesn't win this game... ...horrible game by the refs, unbelievable, but I mentioned this after game 2 to a Dallas fan, I said something like Dallas will be lucky to go 5 if the refs give them a game in Dallas, and low and behold, here it was. I guess it's good that Osgood got his loss out of the way, we all knew he wasn't gonna win every game up until they hoist the Cup. He's human... ...would have felt better if the Wings had actually lost this game fair and square, but much like the gas prices, what are you gonna do? I know the Stars cannot feel like they won this game on their own merits, Wings goal should have counted, Stars goal shouldn't have, should have been 2-1 Wings after Zetterberg scored... ...enjoy the game Bettman? I am sure you were there to make sure YOUR refs did their job as you instructed them to, did they do a good job for you? Wanna bet he instructs them to do the same Saturday so Turco can get a win in Detroit? I bet it happens and they have to go back to Dallas for game 6...

...at risk of sounder like a homer, but it's obvious that the refs are giving the Stars every chance to NOT be eliminated. Holstrom goal should've have counted, Stars goal shouldn't have. Even if Holmstrom's ass was over the crease, fine, call the goal off, but don't NOT call it when every inch of ericsons body was in the crease on their goal that counted... ...I knew a game like this was coming, it's the only way the Stars have a chance, lets hope it doesn't continue into game 5...

...all this "Cup Final" talk is annoying as well, but, yeah, the Stars have to win the next four to beat the Wings and that includes 2 more at the Joe, where Turco, well, we know what happens to Turco at the JLA... ...Greensberg should go back to hollywood and and ESPN should leave the NHL to us...

...exactly, just like in this Dallas series as well as the Colorado one, it's not that the Wings are tearing them up, it's that Dallas is making mistakes, Colorado made mistakes, vould it be that Detroit is CAUSING them to make mistakes? Of course not... ...and when this Dallas series is over (hopefullt tonight) it'll still be that Dallas beat themselves and Turco STILL has the adantage in goal over Osgood... As a matter of fact, I think they are still saying Theodore and (who was Nashville's goaler?) still the the adavantage over Osgood...

...that's all fine and dandy, there's no doubt who their money will be going on, personally, but on a national level, who is the "POSTER BOY" of the NHL? Who is the NHL already blowing every chance it gets? The fact that Crosby was given to the Pens (yes I said it, lottery was fixed) they can be classified as a Bettman team, so who will the media be blowing all series long? CBC is simple, they are gonna blow the Canadian boy over the Euro's, that is a no-brainer... ...NBC/VS. will have to promote Crosby every chance they get, so the annoucers will have no choice BUT to nob-gob on Sid...

Crosby? He won't be able to defend them, neither will Malkin. All this about Pens having edge on Offense becuase of Crosby and Malkin being split up, well remember a huge amount of the Wings offense comes from the Defense. Who's better, Crosby or Lidstrom? Who would you rather have? Rafalski or Hossa? Gonchar is a threat, but he doesn't match up with Datsyuk or Zetterberg, so that being said, the offense that Detroits defense will provide will far outweigh the two scoring lines of Crosby and Malkin... ...but, there are still a couple of games for these teams to win before they worry about matching up against each other...

...exactly, but it all weighs on Stuart coming back or not. I love Chelios, but he needs to retire. Lilja needs to go... If Stuart comes back, then the 5, 6 & 7 spots will be led by Lebda, with Eriksson, Meech, Quincey and lets not forget Kindl fighting for the 6 & 7 spots... ...if Stuart gets mad cash elsewhere, then 4, 5, 6 & 7 will up for grabs... ...Stuart has been good for the Wings, but if he's looking for Rafalski type money, there is no way the Wings keep him. Osgood wasn't injured, so Ribiero just made himself look like an ass. He embarrassed him team and his city. I don't know any respectful hockey fan (in Dallas) who should be commending that action by Ribiero. If he felt that he was hit on purpose by Osgood, then he should have manned up and got face to face with him. Come out in game 3 and score a couple of goals on him, that would have made Osgood look like the fool, but NOOOOO!! Dallas wants to goon it up, be physical with the Wings, guess what, they ain't having it Dallas! The Wings have a goal, and it's not to get revenge on you physically. As another member here said, that'll be next season. They'll extract revenge on Dallas by eliminating them in the same fashion they did Colorado when they tried to goon it up. Better hope the refs do you a favor again and NOT call any penalties on you, keeping Detroit off the power play, so you can MAYBE squeak out of Dallas with one win, but I am not too sure Turco wants to come back to Detroit... ...on a side not, can you believe Turco called Osgood gutless with all the crap he did in game 2? Is he calling Ribiero gutless as well for what he did? Doubt it!

...so, welcome Dallas, I am not gonna say anything bad about you or your team. I read a lot of those posts on the Stars forum, I tried to sign up so I could give my 2 cents, but have yet to receive my email password anyhow, I am going to try to give my most unbiased opinion of this series, hopefully you can send it on to your fellow fans on your forum for I don't have the time to wait to get my password... ..ok, the Dallas Stars, they fought through two very tough 6 game series, they could have been the toughest (body checking and hitting) series so far this playoff. That stops here. The Wings can play that style, they proved it last playoff season. Sure the Stars are a far more physical team than Detroit, but that is not going to matter... ...The Ducks, the Sharks both dump and chase teams, physical in your face hockey. The Wings, puck possession, speed, puck possession, speed, speed, speed. The Stars will try to stop that speed, they will try to stop the puck possession, but as the Avs seen in game 3, the league is serious about the hooking and grabbing, so after they take about 8 penatlies they will be forced to try to play the Detroit style of play (also as the Avs did) and that will just lead to multiple odd man rushes, and poor Turco will be left out to dry (as Theodore and Budjai were.) They ONLY way Dallas wins this series is if the refs put the whistle away early and allow the Jacques Lemaire style of play. The NHL wants offense, the public (non-traditional fans) want to see goals, the two teams that would provide the best entertainment in the Finals are Detroit and Pittsburgh. Look for those two teams to be able to play thier respective games and both make it to the finals. Look for the refs to call the interference and hooking all series long and when it turns into a Detroit style game, the Stars have no chance. Wings in 5 at most...

...I am not on your side, the only thing I did prove is that Osgood has a winning percentage better than the three goalies you mentioned. He has 2 Cups (one his) and soon (hopefully) to be 3. He will play at least 3 more seasons with Detroit and at his current winning percentage average of nearly 55 percent, if he plays in 60 games each of those years he'll amass 99 more wins. He should win a Cup (or two) in that time. I am one of the biggest Osgood fans here and always have and always will call him a ligitmate #1 goalie. He will be the starter next year, there is no reason for Dickhead Holland to even try to sign an overpaid goalie, Hasek will be gone and Howard will be Osgood's back-up. Stats are not useless, it is was judges each and every player in ANY league... ...and I proved that all you Osgood haters are wrong. In the end, he will have won 3 or more Cups, possibly become the #1 all time Red Wing goalie in wins, be inducted into the Halll of Fame and see his number hanging next to OTHER Red Wing greats... ...but like you say, the "UNBIASED" experts think Dallas has the edge in goal this series, because Turco stopped 61 of 62 shots and won on a penalty that shouldn't had been called at that time of the game. Of course San Jose isn't Detroit and Jeremy Roeneck, Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau are not Zetterberg, Datsyuk or Franzen. Turco doesn't stand a chance, I'll give him one game in Dallas, but that is a maybe...

...no, but here's an interesting stat. Patrick Roy's carrer winning percentage is .535. Chris Osgood's is .546... ...hmmmmm.... Seems to me Roy played for some pretty good teams in his career as well. If you continue the above trend, and Osgood plays in the same 1029 games that Roy did, he'll end up with 561 wins, 10 more than Roy... ...btw, Hasek winning percentage is only .530 and even though comparing Osgood to Plante isn't fair (different era's) Plante's winning percentage is only .518 for his entire NHL career... ...so maybe these guys have more wins than Ozzie, but Ozzie wins more consistantly and more often... ...although he deserves the Hall and number retired now, one more Cup should solidify it... ...but back to the original subject, yeah, Turco has the advantage in goal, Osgood is no better than a back up...

...of course Turco has been better, because everyone in the league is better than Osgood, according to the unbiased "EXPERTS." Stefan Liv has been better than Chris Osgood! My sister has been better than Chris Osgood! The whole NHL/AHL/ECHL/WCHA/CCHA/BLAH BLAH BLAH has been better than Chris Osgood... ...Watch as the Stars lose, but it won't be because Osgood outplayed Turco, according to the unbiased experts... ...I am so sick of folks not giving Osgood his just deserve. Not even another Cup will keep the hounds away, they'll still call him a "BACK-UP!"

...the reason Dallas has the advantage in goal, it's simple, becuase NOBODY ANYWHERE HAS EVER GIVEN OSGOOD THE CREDIT HE DESERVES!!!! EVER!!! G.D. he is only the 15th winningest goaler of ALL-TIME. He has 2 Stanley Cups! He led the league in GAA and is leader the playoffs in GAA!!! I don't care who he played for, he deserves EVERYTHING that HE HAS DONE!!! He has already solidified he place as the #1 starter next year with his performance thus far. WHEN he wins his 3rd Cup, he will definately be Hall of Fame worthy and his #30 WILL be hung from the rafters! ...even after all that, the "EXPERTS" will still NEVER give him his credit. EVER!

it's gonna be a fast paced series, yet another team peaking at the right time. The Wings should be worried... Then hopefully Holland gets fired... (sorry had to sneak that in there.)
