...I've been saying it all along, Fedorov at 37 years old (december 13th) is better than most of our team. He could easily be the #1 or #2 center on this team. Make the deal as soon as possible. I won't hit the panic button unless this team is still playing this crappy in December, but even at 3-1-1 we haven't really earned it. Someone earlier mention that that would give us a a projected 114 or so points, well that is all fine and dandy, but there are no shoot-outs in the playoffs, we cannot rely on lazy play just to try and salvage 1 point and try for the extra. I think the whole "each team gets a point in overtime" ruined the excitment of OT. If you lose, you lose, you get nothing, good day sir! And get rid of the SHOOT OUT!!!! ...Fedorov and Forsberg are looking pretty good right about now, they'll look REAL good in december if this team is hanging around the middle of the pack, only then Columbus will KNOW we need FEDS, so they will rape us in return. Get him now, trade Hudler and a pick, while we still aren't DESPERATE! ...BTW when it comes time to choose between Datsyuk and Zetterberg, Zetterberg hands down, he may not have the dispy doo of Dats, but he is bar none the more powerful and better all around player. HE WILL BE THE NEXT CAPTAIN...

...lets all get rational here. We have problems when all we have is one good line (and Dats is stinking up the ice on that line.) For the life of me I don't know why Cleary isn't on the 2nd line, Sammy absolutely is out of his element in the NHL. Someone earlier said Fedorov won't help this team, HAHAHAHAHA, Fedorov is better than most of our team right now! I'd put him on the first line with Zetterberg and Holmstrom. Lilja does suck, he has no business being on the ice, it's not Hasek's fault, although for $4 million I will blame him a little. Babcock must be fired. His system is garbage. The 'D' will do minus Lilja. Hudler, Sammy, Kopecky, Maltby you guys got to go! Drake is doing what he was signed to do. Datsyuk needs to become the old (pre zillion dollar contract) Datsyuk soon, or he can catch the first a320 out of here too! I'd rather cut Lilja, Sammy, Kopecky & Hudler and bring in some players that REALLY want to play, or should I say CAN play. Feds would GREATLY improve this team as would have a few other UFA's that we passed on just so we can give Hasek & Datsyuk WAAAAAAYYYY too much money. Sure it's early, sure we started similar last season, but if things don't change by December, heads better start rolling. Thus far, in all the games this season, the Wings have looked Horrible! Just my opinion...

...looks like we'll be making that trade for Fedorov sooner than the deadline. This team is horrible in it's current state. They have looked nowhere near dominant or even consistant in the games they've played so far. Hudler absolutely sucks as does the entire Kopecky line.... Our number two line blows, with the exception of Filpulla... ...this team is in a sad shape right now too bad their record doesn't show it... ...just an FYI and I am in no way making or poking fun at you or of you. The Jr. Wings were never associated with the Red Wings, as a matter of fact the Jr. Wings were a Karmanos organization (formerly the Ambassadors and currently the Plymouth Whalers.) Barry Melrose was the head coach at Adirondack in the 90's, never the coach of the Jr. Wings. Adirondack has long since gone defunct and the Wings farm club is now, of course the Grand Rapids Griffins. In between they shared a minor league affiliate with the Ducks in, I believe, Cincinnati. They have also had some players under contract with the Toledo Storm (also defunct I do believe.) But you are correct about Melrose being bitter about the Wings not promoting him to the Detroit job, which he was being groomed for, but along came Scotty. Beam us Up! Melrose will never give the Wings their just deserve because of this. Too bad because it just makes him look like an ass even more than he already does...

I haven't heard too much about how he is in camp, maybe Kopecky isn't guaranteed a spot. But when it comes down to it, Kopecky fits Hollands mold and Downey doesn't. Like you all said, same old song and dance. I still think they should ahve invited Adam Hall to camp, he is better than Downey... ...also all this talk about the 7th d-man. I say cut Lilja and give Sopel & Quincey the spots...

...not to suggest that this is the other d-man, I know he is from here and I am not sure if he has already signed with some other team, but I ran into Darrien Hatcher at Metro today, he was down in luggage claim waiting for someone to pick him up. that being said, I am just throwing his name out there because I ran into him and now there are rumors of these two d-men trying out. ...like I said, I know he is from here and still has family so I am 99% sure that he was just coming home for a visit or so... ...but then again...

...he said that there needs to be changes this off season, that they need to get bigger up front, grittier on the blue line and get a top 6 forward to compliment Datsyuk & Zetterberg. He is going to re-evaluate the direction of this team and address the needs to be bigger and faster and more defensive minded. He needs to net a quality goaltender and maybe even a superstar winger. In other words, he didn't say much of anything...

...this guy should be ***** slapped for trying to extort money from Pappin! It is his obligation to return the ring to whom it belongs. Of course, this guy is a great example of what is wrong with todays society!
